Gorgeous lake beach. Clean. It wasn't too busy when we went. My family makes the trip 2-3 times a summer. It's fun to swim, fish, and cookout.

Beautiful lake. Very nice and serene and not overcrowded at all. Only thing that could have made it better would be just paying per car and not per person. Otherwise great experience and will be back again.

We went there last weekend for a family camping. It is a great place for family camping. Bathrooms are nice and clean, Lake beach to keep kids engaged. There was a storm on 15th so we had leave in the middle of the night. We packed as much as we could and planned to come next morning to get the tent. When I got back my air mattress, hammock and a mat were gone, tent was still there. Park ranger helped us to get safely out of the park. A small tree fell down on our site, luckily no-one was hurt. I was expecting park ranger or someone to check on each site after the storm. site #19, Days 14th- 15th

We parked here and were shuttled into Jim Thorpe for the fall festival. The lake was beautiful and is probably a great place to go in the summer.

The scenery here is breathtaking. The lake is gorgeous and there is a nice picnic area, and a soda machine (cash only)but no snacks available so bring your own. There is a very clean small beach too.

We had a great time there first night there was a group there that did not follow the quiet hour rules they were loud the whole night basically and they trashed the ladies side of the bathroom they were gone by the second day after that it was nice bathrooms stood clean lake was beautiful we had sites 1,3 and 5 which where perfect for our group of 17 we will definitely camp there again and want those sites perfect location to the bathrooms and lake rangers and office folks were very nice and helpful too

Beautiful place to explore with the family..The trails are great for running, hiking and biking. Perfect for everyone in the family. Dog friendly too! We explore a little over 11 miles and enjoyed it so much!

$3 rate for Carbon County residents, much cheaper than driving to the Jersey Shore. Lol. Clean bathrooms and relaxing "beach" - 😌 I recommend this lake to both locals and visitors!

Love that place more than any other. Very beautiful landscape and piscine views . Great crew of workers, life guards, security, the people who visited were easy going and down to earth people just going to relax and enjoy the fishing , and just to take time to reflect on their lives.

Less people, less crowded. Much better weekend experience here than at neighboring Beltzville, most likely because you have to pay to get in. It’s $10 for adults and $7 for children if you’re visiting out of county. It’s about half of that if you live in Carbon County. Downsides are…. Lots of bugs, the grounds aren’t exceptionally maintained and you cannot grill. Still so beautiful there none the less.

The lake commissioner got in touch with me, this was a really quick response I'm glad that they care about their Lake, and our environment, review change to a five-star from a one star

Parents let their kid take a piss in the lake, the dangers of inbreeding everybody.

The lifeguards just watched it happen, decided to do nothing. Parents of the kid stopped giggling like idiots and acted stupid when confronted. Lots of class on display at the lake today. I guess trash come in all forms.

Fantastic time ! Very accessible, clean sites. The beach is pristine! Rangers were knowledgeable and friendly. Camp store is equipped with everything you would need or forgot. Many trails to hike right from your campsite. The lake views were beautiful!

A few entry points.. beautiful and quiet place to rest or take the dog!

A place so close and beatific to be experienced in totality. The rafting scenic view is just amazing for a chilled out and serene feeling to the day avoiding any crowded or hustled up places over weekends.
The man made beach 🏖 is an added pleasure.
The staff is so generous and accommodating for all last minute purchases even 😅
Would surely recommend a visit infact over and over visits to the lake till you find something better in the vicinity!

We went on a Saturday. It was $10 per adult when we went. The beach was packed full of people by noon. We launched the kayak from the picnic area. The lake was beautiful and peaceful. I'll never forget sitting in the middle of the lake with nothing but the sound of wind and birds chirping.

The picnic area turned into a battle of the house parties in the afternoon. The upbeat music didn't fit the serene lake vibe to me. I was able to take the kayak out far enough into the lake that the music faded from earshot.

Very serene and beautiful lake not very crowded and the cabins are worth the money .Rangers are friendly and very helpful

Amazing view. Nice, quiet spot. Great fishing. Good place to kick off your shoes, ground yourself & relax.

Such a beautiful and well maintained lake. We visited during the labour day werkend and our toddler loved it. There is plenty of parking and the restrooms are clean you can easily spend 4/5 hours playing in the water and enjoying the beautiful view. We will definitely visit again.
