Food was banging. The staff is amazing and helpful. Digged the vibe. If you are visiting this is the place to eat. P.s. bring cash or use their ATM they don't take card. Still worth eating here ans enjoying the foods!

We absolutely loved it here. 7 outta-towners were welcomed with a smile from not just the staff, but others there for breakfast too. Our server who seemed to run the whole place was nothing short of amazing. Super friendly and helped tend to our three kids who sat at the counter while the four adults sat at a booth. All the foods were delicious, but in particular the pancakes were our favorite. Fluffy throughout with the slightest bit of crunch around the edges. We all agreed these were a contender for best pancake anywhere.

My only regret is we did not tip enough for our wonderful server. We were in a bit of a rush to get out of there and we did the math wrong. Please forgive us! We will be back and we'll get ya then. 🥰

No frills but very friendly. Pancakes were good, portion sizes good. Just passing through hard to find decent food in this area.

Hidden little gem! The East Mauch Chunk Eatery is a friendly and diverse little eatery that boasts delicious breakfasts. This was our first visit and definitely not our last! Our eggs and omelette were cooked perfectly, the chicken fried steak was crunch yet tender and moist, the sausage gravy is homemade, and the fried potatoes the best I've ever had. The coffee was excellent!!

The atmosphere is welcoming, warm and relaxing. The owners and the locals treat you just like family. This is a must stop at and dine eatery if you are in the area.

I did see a bad review about closing the door. I'm sorry the customer felt as if they were being singled out. I can assure you that is not what we saw or felt while we were visiting. Everyone was welcome and treated like family.

This is a hidden gem. We loved it so much we went twice during our trip. The people and atmosphere are great. Our first experience was during a busy time and we sat at the counter and spoke with a local who gave us a nice history lesson. My husband had the creamed chipped beef that was homemade and said it was the best he has ever had. I had a bacon, egg and cheese on an English muffin and the egg was so big it didn’t fit.
Our second visit was a much more intimate one as it was only us and a few locals. My husband ordered the pancake, scrapple and potatoes and I had the french toast with bacon. The pancake was as big as the plate and everything was cooked just right.
Our waitress Jen was amazing both times and a true tropper working through her medical conditions and her assistant Hayden was just so cute.
This place showed a real family and community feel and we will definitely visit again!

This place doesn't look like much on the outside or inside, but it's the best meal we had in Jim Thorpe. We had breakfast. It was delicious and you have enough to take home for later.

It's a great rustic dinner experience.

A perfect breakfast, truly. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Totally small town vibe, no frills and the food doesn’t mess around!! I got a coffee (v good!), a bacon/egg/cheese bagel, a side of scrapple, and a single chocolate chip pancake. Under $15 and was truly excellent. I will return every time I’m in the area. Cash only but definitely worth the ATM trip. Can’t recommend enough!

This place has some of the most delicious breakfast available. It’s small, the women who run it are friendly and down to earth, and not only is the food amazing, but they deliver plenty of it with nice big portions that are very affordable. I’ve been partial to the broccoli scramble, but the French toast is also really good along with their gigantic, don’t order more than one unless you plan on taking it home, pancakes. If you’re looking to get breakfast in Jim Thorpe and are clueless as where to go, your best bet is definitely this cozy little eatery.

Best breakfast hands down definitely a regular breakfast spot for me.

Perfect small town breakfast spot so if your like us and visiting for the weekend this is THE spot for breakfast. The staff and ambience is as if the Eatery is being served out of their house. I also felt a good portion of the customer base are regulars who live in the neighborhood.
Small note: they are Cash only or you will end up like me running half a block away to an ATM. My wife was beyond happy they had Guers tea "in the carton" which is a favorite of hers. She ordered the Donna special and I ordered the Pancake 222. All very delightful and portions so big we had to get a box to go. Next time we are in Jim Thrope we will definitely be back!😁

Truly family run, filled with regulars, adorable little girl helping with service. Everyone was kind and the breakfast was great! Glad we stopped in!

Just moved to the area. Rustic it is. The portions are insane. Everything tastes homemade which I love. Definitely a great breakfast spot.

It looks a little run down but the food was exceptional. It had a nice small town family run cafe vibe and I would go back anytime.

We are from Philadelphia and ate here on 2/14/23 . The place is a small neighborhood eatery . The service was excellent and the breakfast was really good . Best home fries I have had in a long time . A must if you stay over in Jim Thorpe

This place has the most outstanding food, and the nicest staff I have ever encountered. We visit the area a lot and have always eaten breakfast in town, but after our experience this eatery will be a staple every time we visit. The prices are great, the portions were large and the service was quick and timely. I would recommend them to anyone! Thank you for a great Sunday breakfast!!
