Phở Hong Chau

One of the best viet spots in SLC, never had a bad meal here and even friends from our of town love it. Menu is very extensive with so many options to choose from. My favorites are the roast chicken (fried basically) egg noodles soup, wonton and cha siu egg noodles soup, and combination rice dish are all great. The sweet and savory mini pancake shrimp with coconut milk is really good and not found in many places. Def recommend when in the area, with many other food and dessert options in the chinatown supermarket complex.

Usually eat grilled beef vermicelli was super good ! But today I try Bun mum . It's even better .... love to hang out with friends here . Good company and good food .

We recently ate at Pho Hong Chau and thoroughly enjoyed every dish we ordered. The portions were huge, and the pho was very good. In addition to Pho, Banh Khot was so tasty. I had never had it with coconut cream on top before and it truly added a delicious twist to this dish. Overall, I highly recommend Pho Hong Chau to anyone looking for some delicious Vietnamese food. The portions are generous and the service is excellent.

Great food here. They have a mix of “Americanized” Chinese food and authentic dishes. The sizes are almost family style so you could order a couple and share. The flavors are really yummy. I liked the tofu-it was a soft tofu with an awesome sauce. The beef curry was great as well. When you check out you have to get your servers attention and pay upfront.

We found this Vietnamese place in Chinatown today and it did not disappoint. The food was authentic in flavor and delicious. The noodle dishes were light and refreshing. The mini pancakes were crunchy, creamy bites of bliss. Can't wait to come back to try other dishes. Do yourself a favor and try this place out!

The pho was good and had a lot in the bowl. It’s an awesome deal for what your paying.

This is my new favorite restaurant!! I ordered a combination Pho and it was SO tasty! They're generous with the portions and flavorful! I want to come back for my birthday!

Lots of unique options here. It seems to be a family run business and everything is authentic and tasty that I tried. I had a “stinky fish” noodle soup and a tofu spring roll. Even late in the afternoon, we’ll before dinner time there were plenty of customers. Definitely I would come back to try some of the other things they offer here.

Stopped here for lunch after landing at SLC, on our way to Grand Teton & Yellowstone. Wanted our last Vietnamese meal for the week. It was a pleasant surprise. Everything were excellent. Highly recommended.

Hong Chau is one of my favorite places to eat Asian food. They have a lot of different quality options that you cant get at other restaurants. Im sad to see they no longer do delivery but that won't stop me from stopping in once in a while!

You could get tasty authentic Vietnamese dishes here. Not a lot of Vietnamese restaurants offer as variety as this one.

It was so amazing. broth was so yummy and hot. Seems to be understaffed so make sure to be patient.

(Edited January 2024, can you guys clean the bathroom pls. We havent been back bc the restaurant smelled like a urinal last time we came there which was about a a week or 2 ago)

almost dont want to review this place so they dont get overwhelmed with too much customers that they cant handle. most of their stuff is so good and so authentic. possibly the best bun bo hue, best pho, best banh khot, best eggrolls i ever had. and i have tried too many places all over the us and vn. this place makes pho33 a joke. they went thru a phase when the bun bo hue was not as good anymore so we stop going but its back to where it was now. hopefully they keep it up.

I am from Texas. This is the first time I am at this restaurant. I tried the "Cơm Gà Hải Nam" ( Hainan chicken rice) and love it. I think it's better than other places I was tried.

Great variety of items. Way beyond typical pho places in the valley.

If you’re looking for THE MOST authentic asian food places in Utah, look no further. I come here to get their C5 all the time. It’s my all time favorite. Their flavors are fresh and so so so good. Every bite brings out different flavors from spicy to sweet. Every dish on their menu is great too. They’re a a combo of Vietnamese and serve great Hong Kong style flavors and it’s one of my favorite places to get food. You will not regret it! It does look a little run down but I swear they’ve got the best food! There’s a great waiter who speaks canto as well and service is awesome:) I 100% recommend this place for amazing authentic Vietnamese/Chinese style food

Really enjoyed the vermicelli bun with pork and egg roll. The egg roll was nice and crispy. Portion was generous. The little container of chili paste was a nice touch. Added more mint and cilantro at home.
