After reading mostly positive reviews on Google, I contacted VCC. Despite being a relatively small job (replace siding and windows) in a remote location, they responded quickly and gave me a detailed and honest estimate. They were quick to answer all my questions. The work was completed quickly and professionally. The final invoice was as expected and was very detailed, including the hours worked by each carpenter and any purchased materials. The actual invoices for any materials purchased during the project were included. All in all a professional and reliable company who I highly recommend.

Quick turnaround for a new roof, easy to work with. Seems to be quality work. They did not leave a mess which is nice. Originally I wanted to do standing seam metal but the price was extremely high so we went with the black shingles which I’m told is very durable and Carrie’s a 10 year parts and labor warranty from VT construction.

They had a big crew that did everything in a day. They worked until like 7:30p to get it done. Certainly hard working.

Easy to work with. Comprehensive quote and answers to our subsequent questions. Roof install was scheduled with a minimal wait and was done in a single day by a large crew. Excellent site etiquette left the surrounding yard spotless with no cleanup needed by us after the job was done. They even offered to re-shingle a small shed, which was not in the original quote, at no additional cost.

It's rewarding to be able to work with a local company that stands by it's work and when presented with a challenge, does the right thing. It was great to work through Rob Richards to get this project coordinated and booked. I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism, expertise and integrity of Mateusz Rogoza and his team who did the roof installation. They replaced my roof in one day. Highly recommended!

Well staffed and efficient work crew with specific tasks performed by each. Shingles removed, necessary plywood replaced. Did a good job covering things up. Delivery of materials, dumpster & pick-ups all within 3-day window. Initial install day postponed to following day due to storm. Clean-up 9/10 considering snow cover and freezing temp. The melt uncovering many nails. Overall Five-Star Job!

Couldn't be happier! Elena came out to give me a quote on the day and the time that I requested. She came with roofing samples and got back to me the very next morning with the quote for the job. She was very professional and answered all of my questions, even on a Saturday during Labor Day Weekend. Alyssa was the next contact that I had with the company and again, she was very professional. She scheduled the date and time for the job to be done and it was even sooner than I had expected. The crew arrived right on time and finished the job in one day. We had our roof done by this company and they were nothing but nice and professional. Gerry Howatt always told us what was happening and what dates they would be at the house, what time they started the job, etc., always kept us in the loop. Very trustworthy and reasonable. They really know what they are doing.

I had the roof replaced on my South Burlington investment property in early December of 2021 (luckily there was no snow!) and I must say I am all around 100% satisfied with my Vermont Construction Company experience. This is the first time I've ever had to hire a contractor so I have no basis for comparison but here are the facts: the roof looks fantastic, they left the landscape the way it was beforehand, and the final cost ($16,500 for 34 squares) wasn't much more than estimated and the extra charges (the necessary replacement of rotted plywood and bad chimney lead flashing that I confirmed with my own eyes) were defined in the estimate so I can't complain. Well done to Mateusz the roofing project manager, Guillermo the lead roofer and his three associate roofers, and the two non-stop clean up workers. I gathered estimates from several roofing contractors and VT Construction Co's wasn't the cheapest but it also wasn't the most expensive, but it was the most thorough and understandable, making the choice of selecting a roofing contractor easier than I thought it would be. They even gave me a 10% discount for my military service. The quality, value, team work, work ethic, communication, and professionalism were top notch. If you need your roof replaced hopefully this review saved you some time.

Same day estimate, roofing job done a month later in a single day. The job site was spotless. Even the neighbors were impressed with what they call “quite an impressive show.”

Update: I wish there was another star to add to my initial review. Gerry (who supplied our initial quote) followed up several weeks following the project to check back in to see if we were still satisfied

These guys are great. Roof looks excellent and the crew was very nice and fast. Had our roof done in 5 hours. Cleaned up everything nicely. I’d recommend this company to anyone.

Vermont Construction did a complete roof deck replacement on one side and they stripped and replaced an adjacent roof so that both blended well. I appreciated the thorough process which yielded a refined and simpler solution and unified the look of this main entrance on a retail building.

Great and competent company to work with. No surprises. They came in quickly and got in and out in under the time they estimated they would require to do the work. (That hasn't happened for me in the past several years) Solid outfit, great communication and excellent workmanship from everything I can tell.

Rob Richards and his team were wonderful to work with in replacing the roof. I had a quick timeline to get the work done and Rob made it happen, getting me on the schedule and the work completed. The company did a great job with my project!

The team arrived at 7:15am and by 5:45 pm the roof was replaced , gutters put back in place and everything cleaned up very nicely. The team seems highly professional.

Clearly, Joe and his crew have done a lot of roofs. They act as cohesive team, working constantly from the moment they showed until the moment they left three days later. My greatest fear in contracting a crew to replace my roof was ending up with an ad hoc group of guys who would muck the job up. Vermont Construction’s management team, David, and Dana, bid the job with detailed commitments in writing. Joe, the site foreman, and his team moved kayaks, equipment stands, umbrellas and two sets of deck/patio furniture, along with other personal items before they started the tear down of the old roof; and they took great care to not destroy my landscaping and flower beds by covering things with heavy drop cloths and placing plywood sheets around susceptible patio windows. They cleaned up after themselves and each was solicitous of my satisfaction; they were a pleasure to have on my property. Very happy with my choice.

After spending years trying to find a company willing to repair our complex, 110-year-old roof and roof deck, we were so happy to have Vermont Construction Company re-roof for us. They were friendly, responsive, prompt, professional, clean, and incredibly competent. They cut vents, replaced a full five sheets’ of plywood worth of rotten sheathing boards, put insulation in the tops of wall cavities, milled and installed trim that had been destroyed by water damage. It was also competitively priced, and a value when the extra work is considered. It was such a relief to have this level of service and skill—not always our experience in Vermont.

Everyone at VT construction company was helpful and wonderful to work with. We are thrilled with our new roof and can't believe how quickly they were able to get it done for us. We highly recommend them and would definitely use them again in the future.
