Pastorante

What an amazing place I stopped here for lunch break from work. It was my First time here for lunch and the food was amazing . I had the baked ziti with meat sauce and garlic bread with a house salad. The flavor was on point and amazing. The atmosphere was calming and relaxing. The dining area was very clean and it smelled good inside the restaurant. I will definitely be back to try other stuff on the menu.

We were visiting the State Capital. We were looking for good place to eat. A short walk from the capital we walked in to Pastorante. Great food and service in a neighborhood location. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms, fusili with pesto, squid ink pasta with shrimp and fusili with sausage peppers and onions. The fusili with pesto came with a salad, fresh romaine with shaved Italian cheeses and croutons. Each meal arrived hot and delicious. Enjoy a meal here. Serving size is perfect. I got the dinner portion and it was just right. The lunch portion didn't look any smaller. Just to remind, the pasta is homemade. Put this on your place to eat whether visiting or residing. PS the bread is from a local bakery and is delicious.

This is the 3rd time of visiting Pastorante and I’m never disappointed. I had the Short Rib Ragu with pappardelle. It was the most delicious pasta dish I have had in years! The staff are kind and sweet and I would recommend this place to anyone! Young and old …

I love this restaurant. We were in the area and in the mood for some real Italian. This place did not disappoint. It was downtown but not in the middle of all the craziness of 2nd st lol. Nice vibe. People in the streets noding and saying hi to each other as they passed.

Smaller menu but just enough variety. A large menu is a turnoff for me. I like a restaurant that is well focused on a few things instead of trying to have the long extensive slections.

Squid ink pasta with vodka sauce and shrimp was our favorite. The lasagna was very good (perhaps too much sausage). The oxtail Ragu was very good also. Had a Brazilian lemonade , nice!

Espresso and deserts did not disappoint: tiramisu, lemoncello, and a layerd chocolate dish (winner). All very good.

Service was very good. Atmosphere was casual but sophisticated and clean. Small room but nice pub height tables and chairs. Bill was reasonable.

My kids really enjoyed, they're foodies too.

We will be back. I must try their spaghetti and meatballs and one of their dishes with a cheese sauce.

We found parking a block away on street in residential blocks. No problems. It appears I may have missed a small open lot across the street from this place?

We asked for a swap to meatballs instead of chicken or shrimp with the Alfredo. They were very nice about it! Garlic bread was superb. I had Meatball mozzarella bake. Ummmmmm!

Pastorante showed up on Grub Hub and we ordered the squid ink fettuccine with shrimp and the crab and shrimp Mac and got the chocolate mousse for dessert. Both pasta dinners were delicious and the chocolate mousse is my new favorite dessert. Will definitely be ordering again or going in person and definitely referring to others to go. Thank you for a wonderful dinner!

Can't go wrong with home made pasta and the service was just as good as the food. This place should come with a warning, don't eat with your eyes. This food will fill you up quick. The savory sauce with the oxtail was done with love. The fettuccine Alfredo and shrimp was probably the best I've had in a long time. Pastorante plays wonderful Italian music.. This place is simply amazing.

The food was fantastic and the staff were all very friendly. As a former Top Chef contestant, I feel pretty confident in my judgment of cuisine. The pasta is evidently homemade and absolutely fantastic. 10/10 will definitely be back here !!

Amazing pasta! Homemade and chewy. Intimate and upbeat dine-in area with friendly service. Can get busy at peak times. Such a great neighborhood spot!

Ordered from Grubhub and the food arrived early, hot and scrumptious! This is homemade like an Italian Nonna is in the kitchen. Highest recommendation! Yum!

I was really impressed by the quality of food here. We had the bruschetta and the meatballs with garlic bread to start. Both had great flavor. For the entree I had the special, which was a rigatoni with sausage and peas in a lemon cream sauce. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce tasted fresh and light. Overall the flavors were that of a high end restaurant, but in a casual eatery. I will definitely return to eat here again. It's my new favorite restaurant in the area.

A great atmosphere with the friendliest people. The meals are awesome and always fresh. I like that they make their own pasta and it's tasty every time. I think I've tried everything on the menu. This restaurant is marvelous. And they have the best bread. Yummy

I think I had the best meal of my life here! The food was insanely amazing and just had so much flavor it was incredible! I got the Shrimp Alfredo and the noodles were handmade, the Alfredo was fresh and creamy, and the Shrimp was done to perfection. Highly recommend.

Was staying in Harrisburg for the weekend and Google an Italian restaurant and they had the highest rating so we decided to try it out. All the good was amazing, especially the garlic bread. Fresh cut, oil and fresh chopped garlic cloves .. everyone here was so friendly and they customer satisfaction was the highest priority. I will for sure be returning next time I am in the area.

Delicious handmade pasta, great sauce and meatballs, super friendly service. The tiramisu was great, too! Ordered two cappuccinos to drink with dessert. Next time, we'll just order one, and share it, as the cappuccinos were so huge my wife could only drink half. Will definitely come again. Next time, we'll bring a bottle of red wine to drink with dinner. We're so grateful to live within easy walking distance of this amazing restaurant!

The menu is limited. If you love Italian pasta, you will enjoy this small restaurant short distance from the state capitol complex.

I didn't see alcohol on the menu but our next table had a bottle of wine (BYOB??). It would be nicer if wine is offered. I had San pellegrino sparkling drink - sans alcohol.

And our waitress (Tatiana, I think) was super attentive. While the atmosphere isn't super fancy (which is fine, because it gives it a laid-back feel) the food certainly is FANCY, without being overpriced... especially for a city like Harrisburg. DEFINITELY would visit here again.

i only ate here once about a year ago but i’m still thinking about it. this place had the best shrimp fettuccine alfredo i’ve ever had and i’m so sad i moved away

I the chicken pesto mac and the chicken bulgogi mac omg superb. We had a chicken ceasar and a seafood ceaser salad. Great food, awesome service. Clean environment relaxing vibe in the heart of downtown harrisburg. A must try.
