Amazing. Efficient. Friendly. Satiating. Just a few of the words that come to mind after eating here. The syrup is distinctively delicious: tasted like its own unique version of something familiar. Everything was ideally cooked and prepared. This place is impressive in everyway!

Recommended from a friend for their Syrup and had to get a Maine Blueberry Waffle! Excellent atmosphere and authentic cabin experience. Amazing staff and the gift shop made things so much more fun!

Great local spot. Had the Sampler which was an excellent classic breakfast. Friendly staff. Nice bunch of VT souvenirs.

Place tasted pretty good. About a 20 minute wait, even for the counter.

Service was eh, ok. Servers seem stressed and rushed. No one was rude though. Different feel than most other places we visited during our vacation.

I would still recommend visiting if you've never been here before. Plenty of country brunch options. Some cool options for pancakes as well.

What an experience! We were greeted by Walt, the owner at the door. We were seated, ordered and had food delivered for a party of 8 within 20 minutes! Food was excellent. Highly recommend the home fries. I think they were cooked with butter and heaven!
Can't wait to come back and try other food!

If you really want to get a taste a feel of what truly Vermont is about, this is your place. First, you have no other options but to take an amazing scenic view to get here. It’s truly set up like a real sugar house. I got the sampler with pumpkin pancakes and they were absolutely amazing!

Good Americana breakfast place with a decent variety. The decor is cozy and homey. Food was good as expected of breakfast foods. I’m glad that our waitress recommended getting cheddar cheese on our takeout egg scramble since it was lactose free. (We ran out of dog food since our dog ate more of his kibble than expected on our trip, so we got him a ham and cheese egg scramble). Good experience overall.

Food was filling and delicious. I had the eggs Benedict. A friends eggs were a bit under done and cold. Our server genuinely apologized and happily took the price of the eggs off of the check. The lowest floor smelled of reducing maple sap. The host, Walter, was charming, inviting and friendly. A lovely family run business. If you are in the area, definitely worth stopping in. Say "Hi" to Walter!! 😊

Food was slow but you’ll see why… it’s a favorite by many and the place is massive. The kitchen probably can’t keep up with the love this place gets. The food is phenomenal and the staff are wonderful.

Very busy place but super cute and rustic. It was 2 of us and we waited maybe 5min. We got coffee and tea right away and the food came out very fast too. We had Mendon Miler, Maple Walnut Waffle and Sausge Gravy on a Biscuit. All very tasty and filling. Great comfort food! Also,? There is a giftshop down stairs. Lots of hoodies, shirts, magnets stuffed animals, maple products, etc.

If you are in Vermont you must come here at leadt once! Food and service is amazing. Love it!
This place has the charm and decorations a true Vermont establishment. It's been around forever, and they do cute little things like putting stuffed bears 🐻 in the fall and winter. We have a wonderful gift shop which for a resort area is pretty reasonably priced.
They actually do make their own maple syrup so if you are lucky enough to be there at that time of year and get to see it firsthand!
They use mostly organic ingredients so whatever you order you are in for a treat.
Today we ordered the steak and eggs, despite what happens at many other breakfast establishments, the steak was cooked perfectly to order! That is a very big deal. It shows just how much they care about their customers ☺❤

Amazing food, amazing maple syrup! We stopped here on our honeymoon roadtrip and could not be happier with the breakfast experience. We had an omelette and the sugar and spice pancakes, everything was perfect including the home fries. Our server was Kristy (not sure if spelled correctly) and she was amazing!

I went for the first time since the pandemic started on Sunday morning at 9:45am. I was greeted at the door by a friendly gentleman who took our names and had our party of two seated within minutes even though we didn't have a reservation. The waitress and staff were very friendly and helpful and after a little paperwork (VT asks for name and address info) we got our orders in pretty quickly.

I ordered the gluten-free Blueberry pancakes and they came out well and were pretty good. That said, the regular wheat-based dishes on the menu tend to be larger and more glamorous looking as you can see in the pictures. The waffle looked and tasted amazing according to my friend, but she liked my GF pancakes too. Eggs, Bacon and Potatoes were all just fine and nothing was burned and portions were solid.

I really enjoy the tasty syrups they have available and I had both the Amber and the dark robust blend with my pancakes.

Overall, the strict attention to health and safety (well spaced tables and no overcrowding), friendly staff, quick service, tasty gluten-free options and a really nice gift shop downstairs made this an enjoyable visit.

I'd recommend reservations as this place is very popular and the crowds start to hit hard between 10am and Noon on weekends.

Last spring we went touring around New England and tried Maple & Walnut ice creams where ever we went. The Maple & Walnut at Sugar & Spice was by far and away the best we have ever tasted!! We will be traveling to the USA again this year and will be making a detour to visit Sugar and Spice again - it was that good 😊

One of the best breakfast places I've been to. The ambience is rustic, and definitely very Vermont-y. Their pancakes, and walnut sprinkled waffles are the best! The topping of their homemade maple syrup is just the icing on the cake. Apart from that, another nice thing to try here is the classic french toast! The souvenir collection is also authentic making your time their worthwhile. The crew are the sweetest as well. Definitely worth a visit, and I would go back!

I got the Sugar House Sampler and substituting the buttermilk pancakes for the Sugar & Spice Pancakes. The rest of my party got Mendon Miler and Waffle topped with Blueberries. I tried a bit of everything and honestly can’t go wrong with any item on the menu! The pancakes were great as always - light and fluffy! Might try the blueberry pancakes next time since I really loved the blueberries on the waffles. And yes there will definitely be a next time and hopefully many more times after that!

The service here was great! Once you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm welcome by the owner. The entire vibe is just home-y. After ordering, we got our food pretty quick.

I’ve been here before and we decided to drive a bit out of our way to stop here during this trip to Vermont. Last time I was here - there was a huge wait but the great thing is they have a gift shop downstairs so you’re not just sitting/standing around waiting. This time we called ahead to put our names down so we didn’t have to wait as long.

Worth the wait! The pancakes and whole breakfast were delicious. There’s a gift shop to check out while you wait. No cell service in the area but the host does a great job to find everyone for their tables.
