Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Good old fashioned southern style comfort food. You can probably hear your arteries harden with some of the dishes, but fried food and biscuits or cornbread smothered in butter are so good! Yes, it is possible to get healthy dishes, but I don't think that's what this place is about. Like most of the others you find across the country, the service is good, and the place is clean.

This restaurant has consistently been a favorite breakfast destination for me.

My wife and I recently enjoyed a delightful meal by the fireplace. While the restaurant retains its classic charm, I was pleasantly surprised to find they now offer mobile check paying for a seamless dining experience.

I started with their delicious beignets, followed by the hearty momma's breakfast with pancakes. The smoke-flavored bacon was a real highlight. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Loved everything about this location. The food was great, atmosphere warm and inviting, and our waiter was kind and helpful. We really enjoyed stopping here from MD to NJ

Service was quick, kind and helpful. The food is the comfort food I love. Some of the french fries were overdone but, everything else was wonderful. We come here often because we're never disappointed. Comfort food at it's best.

Food was great I got breakfast as always and got 2 $5 dollar dinners to take home and use as lunch for 2 days, oir server was great. Had a nice look around the gift shop too

Always good homestyle food value and friendly, comfortable atmosphere. Fun to browse nice gift shop before or after dinner. Never disappointed at The Barrel😉

I want to share my excellent visit to this Cracker Barrel. Desaray H was my server. Of all Cracker Barrel that I have visited, Desaray is in the top 5% of the EXCELLENT servers who I call a "Super Server". When I sat down, Desaray was quick to come to my table to get my order (under 3 minutes). This time the cooks on the cook line were very prompt to complete my order. I know this by how warm my dinner was. I had three follow-up visits from her before she brought me my check. As a prior Restaurant Manager myself at Shoney's, I would say Desaray did everything by the book. This is why I call Desaray a "Super Server". After my dinner was over, I spoke to the manager telling him the great service I received from Desaray. I told the manager that I plan to do a review on her. WELL DONE Desaray!!!

The wait staff was on point, keeping our beverages full. The fire in the fireplace felt like a warm welcome blanket. The food was the best food I had in a long time.

The menu change threw me off but they still have the blueberry pancakes, I didnt ask about waffles. I am mad excited about loaded cheesey tots!! Happy Fathers day to me dude!! 😂😂

The staff are warm and friendly. Food is delivered in a timely manner. The only downside is there is often a waitlist later in the mornings.

Got the grandmas sampler platter. The ham and bacon was really delicious and so are the pancakes. It comes with a super cute mini syrup bottle! Food came out quickly and I had no complaints.

After having a disappointing fish dinner, they responded quickly with a gift card. This next meal was very enjoyable and I will continue to frequent Cracker Barrel for many more meals. Thank you.

Got there late. We were accommodated at every turn. Even offered a coffee to go. I probably looked like I needed it as we were traveling hard and long. A little disappointed that they were out of meatloaf and turkey. This building was so hard to find!! Confusing area, anyway, but local authorities have regulations. Got to the right area but couldn't see it behind Motel 6. Went back out to Arby's and they helped. True southern hospitality.

Our server, Tara, was efficient and responsive to our requests. The food was delicious and we didn’t have a long wait.

This location is worlds better than the Carlisle location. Friendly staff, amazing food, and a beautiful retail side. I will say, do be wary about what times you are going. This particular location gets slammed after churchgoers get out of church. We waited almost 45 minutes just for food, great food, but seems like they may need a bigger kitchen to accomodate.

My Favorite Cracker Barrel is the Mechanicsburg location! This team, to me, is attentive to what guests need! The gal who brought us our food forgot my toast which I didn't notice until she walked off. The gal who took our order, walked past, glancing at the table walked right into the kitchen and came back with my toast. Now that, I found awsome! I've been fortunate to get this particular waitress from time to time. I think she may have about 1 year on the staff. Hair is up in a tidy bun. Sleeves are usually rolled up on the forearm. She seems to have that focus and confidence like she has a job to do and she is going to get it done. I like! Plus, I observe an older gent whom I take is a manager. He seems to observe very well with a keen eye of experience at how the place is operating both staff and guests. My hats off to the Mechanicsburg location. Not only a job well done this visit but consistency from previous visits. You for sure get my patronage and I do tip! Other Cracker Barrels anh so so!

Sat and waited 15 minutes, wasn't acknowledged by anyone, the waitress in the section beside us asked if we had been helped, which we replied we have not. She went and got our waitress , who came over and was very rude and overwhelmed. She stated she just got sat 3 tables and has to take their drink order first. The waitress in the other section asked if needed any drinks, and we just asked her if we could sit in her section and she welcomed us over with no issues, Her name is Christina. She is the BEST. she is on top of everything and is very nice. If it wasn't for her , we would have gotten up and left. The original waitress, just looks down right miserable, and was not friendly at all. If you come here. Ask for Christina, you won't be disappointed. .
