Ad Lib Craft Kitchen & Bar

2024-02 Wednesday evening 7:30. We had a reservation for the 6 in our group. The table was ready upon arrival, we were seated on the couch tables. Ordered the Not so Old fashioned (photo), it is good but was missing some zest.
The jambalaya (photo) is AWESOME. The blending of flavors and texture made for one of the best jambalaya I've tasted in a while. I used the sausage to clean the bowl.
Spaghetti squash (photo) arrived cooked properly. The blending is sauce and toppings makes this a good choice.
The chili (photo) is served at a good temperature. Nice clean presentation. The taste is smoky, spicy, and delicious.
The tavern chips was good, the dip served with it is good but nothing over top.
Associate ordered the steak over mashed with green beans. Temp was to be medium. Upon arrival at the table it was medium rare, sent back to cook it another minute and returned medium. He ate the entire thing so I assume it was very good.

I could not have been more surprised or impressed by the level of food that we were served. Everything was cooked to perfection and they were very, VERY busy, yet did not compromise in taste or presentation. The pork belly and the monkey bread were really great ways to start off what would end up being one terrific dining experience. This filet was quite possibly the best I've had. My friend was so impressed, he ordered a second one! It's resting on a cast iron pan with the tastiest, cheesy grits I have ever eaten, and a side of green beans that I think my family would say were better than mine, and they all love my green beans.
The other dish that impressed was their jambalaya. Packed with flavor and seafood. I even told our server that I wish I lived closer so I could dine here again regularly.

I'm not typically one to venture into hotels for their dining, but this place was an exception I'm glad I made. They offer a casual dining area or a more upscale steakhouse dining experience. We chose the casual side, but my server Ken was very attentive and kind. Although we were in the casual side, it still felt like an exceptional restaurant. The cocktails and food were both great, and came out to our table fast. I'm excited to return to try more food and drinks.

The food and service here is fantastic. I ordered an old fashioned from the bar and the balance of flavors was perfect. It was even served with one large ice ball. We shared the delicious marinated olives. The crostini was lightly toasted and beautifully displayed. I ordered the sea bass tacos and they were rich and delicious. The real show stopper was their Ad Lib burger. The pretzel bun, dijonaisse Vermont cheddar, truly one of three best burgers ever. Their fries and chips are fresh, made there goodness. Go. This place is great you won't be disappointed.

Ad Lib is in the Hilton Harrisburg Hotel on 2nd. They have a wonderful breakfast set up. Full buffet, continental breakfast, and ala carte. The servers are always so kind and you're never left waiting.

I haven't eaten out on Thanksgiving in over 20 years. Everything was delicious. The entire staff from the manager, hosts, to the servers and food runners were excellent. My favorite was the stuffing.
This was perfect for the price and they gave you more than enough to feel like you got stuffed at your own family's house.
Highly recommend for their regular menu as well.

It was my youngest daughter's 25th birthday so she chose Ad Lib for her dinner party. I was glad she did. This place is amazing, the food was incredible, compliments to the chef and our server went above and beyond his duty. I would definitely recommend dining here for any type of occasion. Everyone equally enjoyed their meals and the atmosphere was kid friendly and cateres to all crowds.

Super friendly bar staff. Snacked and had a glass of wine. Place is really nice experience. Phenomenal wine list with 1700. I recommend the olives and the Caesar.

Surprisingly good restaurant. We are staying in the hotel and decided just to eat here for dinner with our group. Everything was good, well prepared and tasty. The place was very busy but we managed to have good service. Shepards pie was excellent, a twist on the traditional recipe.

Lovely bunch at Ad Lib!! Excellent customer service…smooth live entertainment…tasty dishes…cool venue…definitely recommend! We look forward to trying their dinner menu!!

I took my boyfriend to Brunch for his birthday and we both loved it. It started with complimentary mimosas and monkey bread from a skillet. We had sausage with carmelized onions
Omelet, croissant, potatoes…. They surprised Mark with a dessert of cheese cake, macaroons, brownie and fruit with a candle burning in honor of this birthday….Parker was an outstanding waitress.

We’ll be back and we highly recommend this restaurant.

Don’t usually venture into a hotel for food but it is a nice looking place. Service was friendly. Got the filet and polenta and was very happy with it. Pretty expensive bill but for what I got, I’m pleased.

Love this restaurant! You can see all menu items on a tablet they have at your table before you order. We had live entertainment the night we were there. Also, kudos to our waitress for going out of her way to make me a pineapple and watermelon sangria when it wasnt even an item they had on their menu! The mac and cheese with middleswarth chips on top was different and surprisingly delicious!

Great breakfast and very friendly and efficient staff. The buffet has many standard breakfast Items, from fruit, cereal and yogurts - but also has an on-site chef to make custom omelettes, or other menu items.

Everything about this place was great! Food, drinks, and service were all fantastic. Would definitely come back again!

Stellar experience, honestly. I took my wife here for her 40th birthday, and we were both blown away by the service and quality of food. Our server Parker was very attentive and Michael the bartender went out of his way to make a custom drink that would make my wife’s evening extra special.

I have to recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality experience.

This place is so good with the choices of food that they have. Monkey bread and Brie for an appetizer. Marinated chicken wings for an appetizer and grilled octopus for entree. Oh my God so good so wonderful please if you're in Harrisburg check this place out

Justin was very knowledgeable and he provided amazing service and food choices. The food was excellent. Highly recommended.

I came here as an attendee for a government conference. Ate from the lunch menu and had vegetarian options: Brussels sprouts and cauliflower as appetizers, and pumpkin tacos.

The appetizers together would probably suffice as a lunch, quite deep dishes for both. The cauliflower is packaged in such a way where it's hard to eat without it falling out of the pot so that could probably be improved. The green onions don't infuse any flavor, just cut as garnish, so as a Chinese person I find that a peculiar use of green onion..

But otherwise, the sprouts and cauliflower are good! The sprouts particularly so savory with a light sweetness, crispy and good temperature.

There are two tacos with the pumpkin tacos and those are good as well. Light content-wise, so that's why it was possible for me to eat all this food. I'm a skinny dude.

I ate at the bar for a working lunch. Environment is not quiet during lunch. There are multiple outlets to plug in your laptop, with your typical sports TV playing. Kate was working the bar and she was very responsive and great. You can have food charged to your room bill, of course. Ariana Grande music was playing non-stop in the back, so that was good for me too.

Came here to use some gift certificates with little expectations. I was thoroughly shocked at how impressive this place was. The entire experience was incredible. From the unique drinks, to the chosing of your steak knife, this is a place you need to go as soon as possible.
