Slowdown Grillpub

My husband and I went for lunch and were very pleasantly surprised. The place was clean and the ambiance good. Our server was prompt. The beer and wine selection were very good. The portions were large. We both had the french onion soup, which was the best we've had in ages. I had the brisket cheesesteak, served on excellent Liscio's bread, which was delicious. My husband had the Thai trio which was also very good and a huge serving. We'll be back.

Holy. Slowdown. My. Mouth.!! The food had no chance staying on our plate for long!!! Kudos to the COOKS!!!!!, and ALL the staff. My stomach and tastebuds enjoyed some food fireworks. No dinner pics lol to busy eating. We took a breath to admire dessert tho.

Was surprised by this one. Will be going again. Went for lunch on the weekday and only had two tables full. Tried the snapper soup, Buffalo chicken dip, and the brisket cheesesteak. The potato chips that came with the sandwich seemed like they were made in house and were very good. The brisket was just okay, but the Buffalo dip was definitely great. Service was great. It is great if you want to just sit and forget about time for awhile. Will be going again to see how dinner service is. Didn't try any of the alcohol.

Great Lunch Experience
Nice clean and friendly place. Food was very good and reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly. Can't wait to come again.

Very nice layed back, thefood was great, fantastic. The waitress we had was so professional and welcoming. The manager is doing an good job I would definitely go there again!

I had the snapper soup, it was delicious. I had the special hot dog of the day that was delicious also. Our server was very sweet. I was there last Thursday at 12.

I'm a long time customer who has frequented this bar/restaurant since its opening. Chuck the proprietor, is a master at hiring the right kitchen and bar staff. He prides himself in having an eclectic menu, which seems to change each day. His business is so much more than just another "local bar", and I would highly recommend a visit to anyone who enjoys a well mixed cocktail, beer, or glass of wine, along with a delicious meal.

I've been coming here with my boyfriend since Goat closed down.😭 While this place isn't exactly the same, it's still a great little pub and restaurant with something for everybody. Their mac n cheese is amazing. I'm a fan of their Cuban sandwich, but I haven't yet tried something that I haven't liked. Also, their mule is great. Its strong, so be aware of that when you order their drinks lol.

Always a good spot! Their housemade chips are fantastic and the crab fries are hard to stop eating. Coming here with a group of friends is always a wise choice. But you can easily make friends with the other happy patrons at the bar. I like how you're actually able to hear people when you talk :)

Me and the wife's date night spot. Never had a bad meal and I've had dozens here. Burgers are top notch. Nachos are wonderful.

But the slowdown isn't just bar food. Tonight I'm having a lemon pepper ribeye with mushroom risotto.

Dozen beers on tap rotation. Bottle take out. And it's primarily old people so you have cool crowds that thin out early (the weekend band plays at like 7)

My only complaint is the live bands are way too loud. It's a small place but they bring big speakers.

The food is delicious and the menu is huge! Daily specials each day of the week. Also the people are so friendly. Definitely check it out.

The crab dip and shrimp flatbread were very good. They have a lot of TV's if you sit at the bar, so it's a good place to watch a game.

My boss brought me here for lunch and I loved it. I got the Pulled Pork BBQ special with cole slaw on too. Delicious. A little messy but very good. Definitely have to take my husband here.

Weekly menu offered great choices this week especially the hummus dish. Great presentation.

Great atmosphere, lots to choose from the menu. Simple bae food but delicious. And you get your food fast so that's a plus 😋

Only had wine (Malbec) and it was after midnight. I appreciate their after hours hours:) The servers were great and even though I didnt ear, their menu looked great! The establishment was clean, did not smell, and the washrooms were clean and smelled great!

This is my in laws favorite restaurant of all time. They are regulars and we go there with them occasionally. Chuck, the owner, is a great guy and serves very good food. Everything is always fresh and priced right.

Loved the food here, it was amazing. Food was affordable and they were good sized portion. It's a crowded place for dinner but service was great and it wasn't too noisy. I would definitely visit again!

The food is so good here! I highly recommend going to slowdown for brunch! I haven’t ordered something I didn’t like. Everything is reasonably priced the bartenders and waitresses are always friendly and nice.
