The Barn Restaurant & Tavern

Really enjoyed my meal here! The ambience outside and inside is cozy and quaint. It is a but dark inside at night, so if you have trouble reading menus in low light, bust out your flashlight. I had the braised beef ravioli, and it was delicious! The cream sauce was just the right amount. The root veggies were roasted perfectly, and the cripsy parsnips on top were a nice touch. The entire dish was well executed!

This was our 1st visit to the Barn and we’ll definitely be going back! Beautiful atmosphere, super friendly waitstaff. Wonderful menu choices. Two of us had Crabcakes Benedict. I had the Berry Salad and added butter poached lobster. It was a green salad with candied pecans, feta, blueberries, strawberries and a vinaigrette dressing. I loved it!! We had the mousse for dessert. Also delicious.
Mom had a Strawberry Bellini (champagne cocktail), I had a mimosa, the guys had Bloody Mary’s which had a tall slice of bacon in it!!
So glad we found this place.

the tavern (downstairs) is cozy and lots of fun. very romantic little spot with a small deck. easy to get a reservation. tasty meals with good vegetarian options.

Food was amazing. Server was personable but detail oriented. Atmosphere was quiet but pleasant dining. Fireplace and rustic feel was very homey feeling. Low lighting added to the ambiance.

This restaurant really has it all now! Its always had a great vibe but now its got delicious food and drinks to make it 5 star worthy. The barn yard salad is amazing and the scallops were perfectly cooked. Our server, Mia was just as amazing as our drinks and meal!!

A lovely atmosphere with great food and service - the old working barn is authentic and provides loads of charm. Daily specials. Drinks specials. Great apps (cauliflower "wings" were a treat). The dining room has a huge fireplace to complete the traditional Vermont feel.

Oooooooooo the barn. We have been coming to the barn for 15 years, and this year is not any different with the quality of the food. However, I decided to switch up my normal filet mignon and get Marks Shrimp Scampi. Let me tell you, this meal is a 10/10. The atmosphere here with the GIANT Christmas tree is whimsical. Lastly, our waitress here was also highly personal and recommended us this dessert that’s like a crème brûlée, but it’s not a crème brûlée also 100/100. We have dined here twice now and every time we visit our friends in the area; we make a point to visit this place to dine. The food is excellent and the service is very good as well. We recommend you make reservations, we always do. They also have a tavern on the lower floor. A very rustic looking restaurant but don’t let that kid you, the food is really elevated.

We had appetizers and specials and entrees off the menu and loved it all! Sadly no one had room for dessert. Alexis is definitely an asset to the Barn staff. She handled our party of outlaws fabulously! We will be back!

Driving through twists and turns through dark roads and coming across this barn with fairy lights felt like a magical hidden secret we found. The seating was exceptionally spaced, the serviced with evenly paced, and the price was less than expected. Order from the cocktail list, my off the menu hot toddy was nothing compared to my husbands cinnamon sugar rimmed cocktail. The dumplings were my favorite and so was the shrimp pasta.

Extremely friendly staff, delicious food and an amazing ambiance. We really enjoyed our visit. The tavern is downstairs and they had live music when we were there. Upstairs the dining room was just gorgeous - spacious and cozy at the same time.

Legitimate barn experience. The staff are very attentive and pleasant. The steaks are quite good. The quinoa bowl was very good.

The unique atmosphere, the unique menu, food well-prepared and presented, and very reasonable prices. There were four of us who made a special trip from Burlington, Vermont (a two hour drive), and it was a wonderful excursion and experience.

Huge old barn with wide plank wooden floors and tables. Giant fieldstone corner fireplace, very generous portions. Tasty steaks and homemade buns finishing off with Tiramisu and Creme Brule made on the premises.

The menu priced very reasonably. Go there for great food.!

Had a great meal at the Barn in Early May. People looking for a large volume value dining experience might be disappointed, but I thoroughly enjoyed the appetizer (avocado bruschetta), the meal (haddock with prosciutto and brie over pasta with added lobster) and the drinks( premium margarita) not a place I can afford every week, but I'll be back!!!

Rhiannon was a wonderful server, hosts were fast and kind, food was amazing and drinks even better. Best watermelon margarita we’ve had in a while. Thanks for everything!

This was our first visit to The Barn. We were very pleased with the safety measures right away. Reservations are expected. When we arrived we were greeted outside and asked for our full names and phone numbers in case contact tracing would be needed. Once inside we were seating at a comfortable table for two. The restaurant took social distancing seriously and tables were well spaced. Our server was polite and professional. The pot stickers were served very quickly. The flavor was great and the dipping sauce while thin was delicious. The salads were very nice and contained a nice mix of greens. I ordered the baked chicken. I was very surprised at just how juicy and moist the chicken was.
The rest of the meal was good as well. My dining partner ordered the Chicken Parmigiana. His only complaint was that there could have been more pasta with the dish. He said that the chicken was well seasoned and the sauce quite tasty. The meal was a success and the price very reasonable. We will definitely be going back!

Visiting a friend’s lake house with a decently large group and he recommended this place to eat. From the complicated substitutions to the myriad of appetizers, drinks, and entrees ordered, everything came out perfectly. The service was super quick and the people made you feel like family. The ingredients are down the block local and super fresh. This place is a definite favorite and I think it would be for anyone else who decides to go.
