Great little 1900s themed ice cream/candy store! I love coming here with my sister 1-2 times a month. The waitresses are VERY kind and friendly (especially Dana) and the atmosphere is very fascinating for any vintage buff like myself. The seasonal blend-its are AMAZING!! Probably my favorite ice cream shop in the area

Step back in time and take an adventure to this amazing ice cream and candy store. Feels like it was pulled right out of 1905. The staff was great. The owner even let us climb the ladder to take pics. 10/10 would definitely recommend. Bring a pocket full of nickles to buy your favorite childhood candy!!

My wife was recommended this spot by a coworker. What a treat! As a child I had fond memories of going to Shadowbrook in Tunkhannock for ice cream. Since moving to Old Forge we had been going to Blue Ribbon (also great) . I couldn't believe how many times I had passed this spot once I learned where it was.

Great "penny candy" selection as well as very kind and helpful staff. My daughter (3 YO) loved the gumball machines and Leaping Linda (vintage riding horse machine). Can't wait to go back and try other things from the menu.

Great place to step back in time! Old school candy/ice cream shop that gives you all the feels! The place smells amazing!!! They have all sorts of penny, nickel, and dime candy along with some of the best tasting ice cream! The whipped cream is homemade and delicious!!! Stop in and give them

After having been a long time fan of Manning's, I was just in the mood for ice cream visiting a friend and this place popped up. Fell in love instantly and their ice cream is amazing. 12/10 would recommend. Great service and even better Ice Cream

Hands down, the best ice cream, best, most diverse selection, and friendliest staff and ownership on the West side! The atmosphere is really great as well. It takes you back in time.

First time here today and my son was amazed. It is very cool inside. Takes you back to the older days ! The person working was very pleasant. The smell when you walk through the door….. mmmmmmm like pure chocolate ! My son only wanted candy and they had a huge selection of it ! Some I haven’t seen in years. Reasonably priced also ! He walked out with a ton of candy for 14.00 We only live 20 minutes away and will be repeat customers. See you soon BALLYHOO !

The family owners have re-purposed a beautiful old storefront in West Pittson into a classic ice cream parlor and candy store brimming with charm. Situated off the main drag on a street lined with big classic Victorians, Ballyhoo will take you back to a time of pre-screen based entertainment.

Our kids are always agog when they are here and love doing all of the old mechanical games and rides, and our parents love to talk about how stores like this used to be so much fun when they were kids. It really connects generations. On top of that, the service is also friendly and charming and the prices for ice cream, sundaes and candy are inexpensive. Maybe you can't get anything for a penny anymore, but a dollar will buy a lot of candy. Definitely a 5 star gem.

This place is so cozy and fun. I felt like I could be 5 years old again! Sitting at the booths, with the low lit atmosphere gave the impression of a 1950s movie. Also, I cannot get over the awesome candy selection they have. Oh, and their ice cream is great.

Excellent ice cream, huge candy selection. My toddler loved our trip there, we will be frequent customers! On top of all that, staff was very friendly!

They have candy I haven't seen since I was a child. My kids love it here. The hot chocolate is excellent as well. Kind and courteous staff. I will return to this store many times.

There is so much personality in this store. It’s like stepping through a time machine. This spot is a nice treat to satisfy your sweet tooth. The staff is friendly and will guide you. You can dine in or take out. There is street parking out front with easy access to the shop.
