Spruce Creek Tavern

My wife and I stopped at this restaurant while taking a drive looking to use restroom facilities. This was unfamiliar territory for us. We decided to stay and sample the food. Our waitress was competent and congenial and she was totally unfazed when my wife wanted to change her order. Our sandwiches were delicious and the fries and side of macaroni and cheese were excellent. Next time we take a drive, we just may make Spruce Creek Tavern our destination.

My husband and I ate here almost everyday for lunch while camping at Greene Hills Campgrounds. We sat at the bar each time, with Patty being our bartender. The food here are absolutely delicious. The wings, Delmonico Steak, burgers, and the most famous french fries, and the raspberry tea - oh so so good! The service we got from Patty was phenomenal - the second time we came, she knew our drinks, and she knew to give my husband lots of napkins! Lol Awesome personal service, made us feel like family. Spruce Creek Tavern and the service we received from Patty made our vacation amazingly wonderful! Thank you! See you next year!

Had a great family outing late lunch. Food was excellent, and generous portions. Fries, wings, sandwiches, pizza and salads all were home runs with my family, kids, and inlaws. Great service too. Worth the ride to visit.

Nice little restaurant with a big menu and very reasonable prices. From full entrees to sandwiches, flatbread and salads (and fresh cut fries!), there's something for everyone. Recommend you stop in.

This was our first time here -- Our 6 year recommended it (she had been there with her grandparents) based totally on the French fries. We tried a few different items and loved everything. We will go back for sure!

First time here and we loved it. Staff was friendly and service great. My wings and fries were delicious and the portions generous. Wings were large! Fries fresh cut and crispy. We will return!

Stopped here while out on a motorcycle ride. This place has a cute deck, along with indoor seating. Our waitress was super busy (she was the only one) but she kicked butt! For drinks, apps and entrees- $36! If this was local to us, this would be our "go to" place. Great job!!

I looked for a restaurant with a good atmosphere and good food and I found it. It was a great senic ride to get there, and once we did, we were impressed. The cleanliness of both the deck and inside the restaurant stoodout impressive. I had the ribs that were fall off the bone good. I will definitely go back.

Very friendly staff, was seated and waited with no wait . We got our food fast and service was great. My wife and I enjoyed our food and our experience for our first time there. I would recommend getting wings, fries and cheese steak.

I recently visited State College for some fishing and exploration. To my pleasant surprise, I stumbled upon Spruce Creek Tavern near Little J. The exceptional service provided by the staff and bar crew made for a wonderful evening. I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious wings, fish chips, and Crab Cakes. The Tray of fries was also quite amusing - a tray full of plain or seasoned fries!ly recommend this spot for anyone looking to indulge in some great food while visiting the area. I used to live about 3 hours from Spruce Creek Tavern when I was in my teens. I’d come out to the area to go fishing and always get a burger back then before heading home. I now live about 30 mins away and still come here every chance I get. Awesome place, hope it never changes.

Best restaurant experience since Covid! No corner cutting or “shrinkflation” here! Everything was reasonably priced and the portions exceeded our expectations. We were pleasantly surprised with the very clean and friendly atmosphere of the Spruce Creek Tavern. The food quality and service was excellent!! Our server was very friendly and fast. The wings I ordered were cooked to perfection, in fact they were the best I ever had. Looking forward to our next visit!
