Beachead Comics

Yep yep yep this is the place to visit for back issues of Marvel. This is a medium sized shop with an extensive selection—3-layered arrangement of long-boxes with items cover-priced unless otherwise marked. With the place to myself for most of my visit, I was able to look through the back issues in peace and left with over $30 in late 80s and early 90s Marvel. While I wish parking were easier in the neighborhood, that’s a minor thing. And if you’re familiar with Ontario Street comics on Philly, you know you don’t and can’t judge a shop by its neighborhood. A one-of-a-kind relaxed comic-book shop sure to conjure a multitude of emotions from laughter to excitement (there are to many to list)! Once a year THEY GO ALL OUT FOR *FREE COMIC-BOOK DAY* they also have in-house artists & comfortable chairs to review material! In a way it is like Allentown, PA's unofficial museum of pop-culture!

Owner Ty spoke with me over the phone first before I stopped in to visit. He does a great job explaining the joy of comics when helping a newbie shopper! It was an especially nice surprise to see a cafe style setup too!! Thanks Beachead for the “good vibes”

Associate was very pleasant and was willing to answer any question I had. He made sure I was felt welcome and left with everything I needed. Great selection for anyone, would highly recommend. 😃

I was very happy to see Beachhead Comics back in business. They have a ton of comics. The top bins are just the creme on the top. They have some hard to find comics in the lower bins but you need to be willing to spend some time and look through them. Guy running the shop that day I visited was very helpful and even got me a folding table to help look through the boxes.

From the outside it's a plain looking row home in Allentown. Going inside you enter a wonderful comic escape. The owner Ty was a pleasure to talk with and lead to us spending more time than planned in a good way. Looking forward to many more visits.

This store was official. The owner was really helpful. I didn't know what books to get for my Bro who was in the hospital. He picked out a good one for me that my Bro actually liked. I was also able to pick up 3 classic Uncanny X-Men that I hadn't seen since I was a teenager. Check these guys out if your a comic book fan. I highly recommend this shop.

I felt a bit of nostalgia walking back in this store. I remember going there as a kid after school. The owner back then was nice,and the new owner is just as nice! I was looking for a comic in particular, and he was more than helpful in finding what I was looking for! I will definitely go back!

Cool comic shop! Very welcoming and friendly staff. The sitting area is a nice addition to any comic shop. They not only have comics but vintage posters/ collectable cards, action figures, Funko pops, jewelry, and t-shirts!! Definitely Worth checking out!

They do not have dollar bins BUT if something is unmarked it is cover price! I had the best finds of my hunting career here. Filled up many long boxes of cover price silver and Bronze Age books. The owner Ty is very kind and welcoming. Some of the marked prices are a little high but they have an amazing selection. Their stock has probably been a a bit picked through at this point but still a must stop! 5/5

Wow! Awesome selection, and I love the layout. Everything is easy to find and staff aren't afraid to say hi to the customers. I found everything I was looking for and more. The gentleman working answered every question I asked and was very knowledgeable. Easily in my top for comic book stores in the Valley

Love this place. I've been 3 times sp far in the past year and they have so many comics, its a bit overwhelming at first but its such a great store. Highly recommend it for any comic book fan or even non comic book fan just to see the culture. Who knows you may even buy a few comics.

This is quite possibly the best comic shop that I have ever been in. Not only is it vast and extensive, the man that runs the place is an expert. It is a warm and friendly environment with a nostalgic appeal. I recommend this place to anyone whenever the subject of comicbook shops comes up.

Great prices and a vast selection of comics. The staff was welcoming but not intrusive which is ideal to me.

Gentleman behind the counter was very nice. The shop was well a comic shop every thing you could hope for in a quaint little part of town. I would go again

I been going here for a while and im more of a casual collecter getting what i like, really friendly here and will explain things and help you with finding what your looking for and what you might likeif your not sure.

Chill spot. I'm not nearly even an amateur collector but it seemed to have a good variety from what I saw. New stuff, old stuff and everything well managed.
