Recently, my wife and I visited Cedar Creek Parkway East to walk and explore more of Allentown's excellent park system. I have driven past this Mill for years and paid little attention. The property is beautiful and well-maintained, and the Mill's interior is original—not re-imagined. Much of the old equipment is still there and in working condition. We visited on a weekday and met Ken Haines, the great-grandson of one of the original mill owners. The local historical society offers building tours on weekends from May to September. The property has a one-room schoolhouse, blacksmith shop, woodworking shop, and other small outbuildings. It is a real historical gem that sits behind Dorney Park and was owned by Dorney Park for several years in order to secure the water rights.

5/2024 Peaceful grounds. Beautiful old mill setting with picnic tables and a gazebo. Cedat Creek is in the back. Haven't been in the mill yet.

Absolutely beautiful park. A hidden treasure in Allentown. My wife and I were married in front of the gazebo in 2003.

This is the type of park you go to when you want to get away from the stresses of life for the day. The grounds are immaculate and there are so many beautiful flowers to see. Pack a lunch, bring a blanket, and find a nice shady spot to sit, eat and connect with nature.

There are two streams that run along the park. We used to fish here as kids but I don’t think fishing is allowed here now. We spotted several large Trout while walking over the bridge to the north side of the park.

I’m not sure if they still offer tours of the Mill so I would probably call to get more information.

There were several people walking their dogs while we were there so I’m guessing it’s a dog friendly park.

If you love Photography like I do then don’t forget to bring your camera. You won’t be disappointed.

Very interesting mill if get tour. Mill operations were explained from both mechanical and people side. Also very nice park. Some historian needs to capture in a book all the memories from the people in the area. Mills are such an important part of the history.

Interesting, well-preserved facility and guided tour. Unfortunately the mill no longer runs. The grounds are very nice as well.

Fascinating history of the mill and the surrounding area. Lovely tour guide. Pristine machinery gives a unique look at how manufactuing was done in the past century.

They have tours Saturday & sunday 1pm to 4pm. Very cool if you're a history buff & just to realize how hard people worked back in the day! Would recomend!!

We had an informative tour of the inside of this historic mill by a descendant of original owner!
You gain quite an appreciation of the industry of those times.

Das Mühlhaus ist im Winter eigentlich geschlossen. Doch der nette Hausherr hat uns eine wunderbare Führung gegeben. Herzlichen Dank noch einmal!
