The Shanty on 19th

This place was awesome! The atmosphere and look of the restaurant is very very nice! 👌I went to try out their AYCE Spaghetti and Meatballs night on Wednesdays. It's only $7.95 and they are quick to bring refills. The food is amazing, and their service is friendly and efficient. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Amazing restaurant. I've wanted to go here for years and something always kept coming up. Thankfully today was my wifes birthday and we wanted to try something new. First let's start off with the parking. Hug parking lot. Then when you enter the restaurant it reminds you of a log cabin. With a hint of charm. We sat down and were greeted by Ronnie. Our waiter. He was friendly and always smiling. We ordered our food which came out super quick. And was well cooked. I highly recommend this place for any occasion . See pictures.

Ashley and Christina are the absolute best! Food is delicious, drinks are great. You can't go wrong choosing the Shanty.

Came here (finally) after growing up in Allentown for the majority of my life, moving down south and now residing in Palmerton. Caught my eye on Gordon Ramsays show and had to try it out.

Decor was top notch, very cozy comfortable atmosphere. Small suggestion and I could have done some research but the music there was so loud we could barely have a conversation. Just slight advice but again I could have found out if a band was playing I just didnt think it would be an issue.

Started off with peel and eat shrimp that were fantastic. Ordered the Shanty Burger as I recognized that from the tv show. Asked for medium and it was cooked perfectly. Great flavor, super juicy.

Only other flaw was our waiter was insanely inattentive. Did not check on us at all we had to flag him down a few times. That being said I'm definitely coming back. I own a few businesses myself and I love supporting the small local guys.

To the owners - you have a great place, good food and beautiful decor. I'm glad to see it doing well keep up the good work!

My first time trying Shanty's & I have nothing but positive things to say.
Friendly service, welcoming atmosphere, tasty food. I recommend the sweet chili thai wings I was blown away & perfect level of crisp. There was a talented band playing that I didnt mind at all, They actually added to the experience. Will be back.

Really great food at the shanty! I had the 19th street burger and my brother had the bourbon shrimp and grits. I appreciate the owner for letting us use our coupon on takeout, we recently had a death in the family and needed to be home, we wouldn't really have been able to eat there.

Again thank you so much and we will be back! Atmosphere seemed great as well.

The staff at the Shanty are the best of the best! My son, my dog, and I were all stuck with a broken down car on a road trip from GA to NY. We made our way slowly to The Shanty because of their dog friendly patio to wait for family to get to us from NY. We had excellent food - the coconut shrimp salad is delicious - but even better service. I apologized to our server for being on the phone so much, and told her I was trying to locate a mechanic where I could drop off after hours, and upon hearing that, they launched into action! In no time, someone had checked my oil (!!! At a restaurant!!!), another had recommended a garage and offered me parking for the weekend, and another had contacted a family member mechanic to find me a place to take care of my ailing vehicle. They offered me to stay at a table well past being finished and paid while I waited, and in general, made me feel so safe and taken care of when I was feeling incredibly vulnerable.
I would go back for the food anyway, but from now on, The Shanty will be my spot on my way through PA. I am so, so grateful for the kindness of this crew! Thank you to Joe, Christine, the bartender whose name I didn’t get, and our sweet server. You guys are amazing!

Good for singles, couples, and parties. Not great for families with young kids. Expect big crowds on Friday and Saturday nights when live bands are playing; they usually have a really good lineup of bands. If you're in a local band, or want to meet one to talk shop, check this place out.
Food is on the upscale side, and pretty pricey relative to other pubs.

This newly furbished restaurant is beautiful. Very classy with great service and great food. The band Uncle Smiley was the entertainment that evening. They were awesome and had the crowd up and dancing with their variety of top 40, country and older tunes.

True Five Star experience. Great service, atmosphere, and "The Best Fajitas" we have had ever. We're planning on regular visits to try other menu items. Sorry that I didn't take a pic of our dinner.

Had a great time for Valentine's Day loved the food and surprised wasn't many people

We had the ribeye steak. It was excellent. Great flavor, cooked perfect. This was the first time we have been to The Shanty in years. Really nice inside. Good menu. Good service.

First visit to this bar/ restaurant. Extensive bar seating. The dining area broken down into three different areas. With the band playing you still were able to enjoy conversation with friends. The side room you are able to sneak off and catch up on the game. That side room was also able to accommodate a fairly large group(15-20)Bar tenders were very attentive and interacted well with us. We only had snack food. The bang bang shrimp and the pretzels were well prepared and tasty. The food prep is along side of the bar so you get that enticing smell of the food being made. In comparison to many of the local places I would put this on the top of the list for friends, date night or just a little dancing. Definitely heading back here!

The absolute BEST burger and fries I've ever had!! Top of the line ground beef made into a huge patty, perfectly grilled and seasoned. The fries, also seasoned to perfection, had a unique, pleasing texture that I've never before experienced. Our food was served very hot, which also added to a very enjoyable experience. Our server was also very pleasant and cordial. Can't wait to go back!

Great place. Nice variety to the menu. I had the fish tacos 💯👍My mother-in-law had the shrimp scampi 🎊💓 didn't hear a word out of her... She was too busy enjoying her meal. My husband also had the fish tacos 💯👍 and a WONDERFUL SALAD. I can't remember the name of it. It's worth going !!!

Stopped in yesterday and had a real good time....enjoyed the fish n chips....and the mac and cheese was great as well. The bartenders were pleasant and friendly....the owner even touched base while serving some great looking dishes. I ll definitely be back soon.

We had a wonderful buffet for 20 people to celebrate a loved one's life. The room was set up so nicely and the buffet was perfect. The children could choose from a kid's menu if they wished. Our waitress, Qeahnna, was sweet and attentive. The price was reasonable for all the food we had. Joe, the manager, took care of everything and made this buffet easy and memorable.
