Typical used car salesmen. Be wary of the deal. Will never deal with again.

I wish I couldn’t give this shop any stars. We thought Tim was a decent guy. He even tricked us by playing Christian music in our car ride. We got screwed with a used car purchase. The transmission was shot, and it was just inspected, so within days of purchasing we had to replace the transmission. I called the shop and told Tim what happened. He said he would send a check to cover half the cost of repair and even sent a text asking if we received the check he mailed. (Lies) Four weeks later and still no check, nor will he respond to texts or calls anymore. If he would have just honored what he said he was going to do. I have proof of all texts so would have a case if I took him to court. Do not do business with this place.

Where do I begin? We had bad experience after bad experience. After seeing a boat for sale on the lot, it took us some time to reach anyone. The owner was very vague as to when he would be around for us to come see the boat. He then just said, "come anytime." So, after my husband and his brother took off work early so we could go see the boat, we get to the lot and call the owner (who said he'd be there) and he answered and said it wouldn't work for him.

We tried again the next night after confirming he'd be there. We get to the lot and call him. No answer. So we text him, only to receive a text that said (word for word) "ah not gonna make it sry."

I responded, explaining that we'd now taken off work twice, went to the bank to get everything lined up and had a cash deposit with us. He responded and said he'd be there within 10 minutes. Half an hour later, he showed up. The boat fired up, but didn't seem to be running properly (he kept saying it was running as it should be, but we've had bay boats for years, and knew the difference) so we asked if we could test it on water, to which he agreed.

My husband took it to Blue Marsh and started running it, he got it up to speed and the engine just cut off, and threw him up against the front of the boat. It happened a second time. After a second, professional opinion and figuring out what was causing the issue, we were prepared to discuss a realistic price for the boat, factoring in how much it would cost to properly fix the issues.

He barely took anything off and wouldn't really even acknowledge the boat's issues. After a week, we still decided to go ahead with the boat, and they we'd cover the costs to fix it. Boats are incredibly hard to come by in this day and age. My husband and the owner agreed via text - he made it very clear - We're buying the boat. 100%. The owner even provided the information to our bank - so he knew it was already going through and in He knew we went to the bank and signed the loan. An hour after he knew we signed the loan, he sent my husband a text "sry sold it."

We should've taken all the signs, but don't do business here. Unless you want a terrible used-car-salesman experience.

We probably got spared from dealing with him down the road and stressors of money to fix more things.
