Great one stop “black powder” shop. I’ve been a flintlock hunter for decades hunting with a 50 cal Hawkins. When I moved into this area 25 years ago and wanted supplies, everyone referred me to Dixon’s for parts and selection.
When I recently was in the market for a second rifle, I purchased a Lyman’s rifle in 54 cal. I found their advice on the purchase and all the supplies to be spot on.
I highly recommend Dixon’s!

I went there years ago when his father owned the shop. My first flintlock and great advice. Two years ago I went to the big place up the road. They had nothing.
The worker asked if I ever heard of Dixon. I told my story. I didn’t realize the shop was so close by or in business. I checked out and went right over.
Same as before. Friendly, helpful people. If you have a question, they have the answer. I actually brought my old flintlock in for a check up. No problem.
I’m looking for another flintlock and heading back over in the next week or two.

First time there. This place is amazing! Leave yourself enough time to look around. It's like a museum. They also have a great selection of muzzleloaders and supplies and you'd have a hard time finding anyone who knows more about them than these folks.

Possibly the greatest store for traditional and non-traditional muzzleloading, gun building, shooting, reenacting, living history and hunting(contemporary or primitive). So much to offer, one can hardly begin to explain. This family owned business has amazing customer service, support, knowledge and actual hands-on master experience. This isn't your typical Walmart, corner sporting goods store, or online catalog they have everything you'd ever need or want or can get it and it'll be the right thing the first time. They offer period accoutrements, clothing, leather shoes and moccasins), cleaning and shooting supplies, various brands and types of black powder, gun parts, kits, and finished custom made rifles, foulers, and shotguns to fit every budget. Also, many well known replica models like the Springfields, Enfield's, Brown Bess Etc. Everything down to machine screws and barrel pins. When it came time for me to buy a custom-built rifle Greg spent the better part of an afternoon making sure that the $3,000 I had to spend got me every penny's worth of great rifle and I got a great deal!. I love it, it's one of my most cherished items, a true heirloom quality masterpiece. I can shoot a tick off a deer's backside at 100 yards, didn't take much practice either, but I do shoot it at least once a week. I can't wait to pass it on to my grandchildren(not even married, no children yet!) And teach them how to shoot it, and to love, respect, and appreciate the real Pennsylvania rifle. Hours are great, prices are amazing maybe even cheap for what you get(FREE, knowledge, technique, problem-solving, and engineering!!!) Anyone on the East Coast who loves black powder shooting, hunting, history, or gun making at any skill level or ability, of any sort needs to get to Dixon's at least once. A REAL GOLD MINE

First time at Dixon muzzleloading shop and was a great experience! I'm new to muzzleloading and they were kind and patient while answering my questions, they also gave me a print out of how to properly use my rifle. They have everything you need and everything you didn't know you needed, it's packed with everything you could ever want! Only thing I could mutter under my breath when I fist walked in to the shop was wow. It was absolutely worth the short 45 minute drive and can't wait for a return trip. Thank you Dixon muzzleloader shop.

If you're into muzzleloaders and flintlocks and the time periods they were used , then this place is the absolute best place . They have everything from the weapons to the pieces to build your own , to the period clothing . It's truly an amazing place. Their knowledge and helpfulness is first rate . I've bought 1 flintlock, numerous books and magazines, some decorative pieces to inlay into my rifle, and everything I needed to fire and hunt with the rifle. I even bought a tomahawk/ smoking pipe. I haven't used it yet , just have it on the wall , it's beautiful.

Super fantastic and wished it was closer so I could scour the place cause there's so much. You need numerous hours if you go there. I really like the owner and his wife. They even stayed late to allow me to linger looking at so much to see. Got there just before closing driving in from out of state. Bad GPS directions killed my planned hours to check out the place. Well worth going there if you're a traditional black powder hunter, reenactor or collector. Very reasonable prices I thought.

It's like walking into a general store from the past. The staff is very helpful and full of knowledge. I've bought a few muzzleloaders over the years from them and have been very happy. I love when I get the chance to stop by. So I can just look around. Oddly I never walk out without buying something. They are family owned and the only black powder shop I know of. At least for me the hour and forty minute drive is always worth it. Only time I'm ever disappointed is when I forget they are closed on Wednesdays and I've made the trip.

This is an awesome place for primitive firearms and accessories. It is set up like a museum and prices are marked on display items. If there isn't a price seen it is part of their collection. They have everything from rough cut stocks and unfinished barrels to new flintlock and percussion rifles and pistols. This shop has everything to build a gun from scratch. The staff is extremely knowledgeable in the use of blackpowder firearms. When you are here, you are not just a customer you are also treated like a welcomed guest.

I love this shop. It's like stepping back into 1880. Colonial and Cival War attire are available as well as patterns to make period costumes. Everything from muskets to Bowie knives.
