Mooselook Diner

The food is delicious and affordable, with remarkably fresh coffee. The staff very friendly and efficient. In season one can eat on the patio with is relatively quiet despite the nearby roadway. Cutely decorated bathrooms, which are clean. No moose sited this time around! :)

We had a large party, they easily accommodated us. The food was great, and staff was friendly.
I had the Reuben- it was so delicious! I would definitely order it again. I shared an onion ring & nibbled on someone else's clam strips. I would order the clam strips next time! Clean & friendly & just good cooking!
Dessert was also really yummy!

This place was great. Stopped on our way home to Maine for lunch after a long day of skating. We were a party of 6 and starving. The wait was a little long but they were busy and it was so worth it. We got poutine, chicken tenders, and burgers and they were all amazing. I work at a fine dining restaurant and they rivaled our renditions of the same dishes. I went in with very low expectations and came out extremely impressed!

Awesome diner I stumbled across while looking for restaurants..drove out of our way and were not disappointed ..the meat loaf was incredible..my salad fresh..and views are the icing on the cake! We will return!

Tasty food made in house. The potato skins were a huge hit as were the chicken tenders and burger and fries. The pies looked amazing too and the specials sounded so delicious.

Awesome scenery & amazing Americana food. Pork sandwich was a ripper & the shake was a big ole milky gooden.

Without a doubt one of the coolest little diners I have ever been to in my life. It's on a beautiful country road in upstate Vermont, overlooking a ravine with a river at the bottom. If the ambiance isn't enough, then the food is absolutely delicious. I loved everything I ordered and the service was so nice. If you ever find yourself in upstate Vermont, do yourself a favor and stop here.

Visited dog heaven! This diner is Near Dog Heaven Mountain - worth the short drive. Dog friendly! Outside seating with an awesome view! The bacon and pancakes were great!

I love the Mooselook! Friendly service and good down home cooking. Plus a nice view of the river if you sit in back by the window.
I usually go for breakfast and get the tater tots skillet with sausage gravy and eggs over easy. My favorite.

What an adorable place, with a nice view in the back. The blueberry pancakes were awesome. The batter was perfect and the blueberries were fresh. The bread tasted homemade and home fries were grilled perfectly.

My wife insisted I go out for veteran's day breakfast at Mooselook. I normally stay home. Howevewr, she made resrvations and we went. This was our 2nd trip there. They were very busy, sat us and brought us coffee immediately. Thanked me for my service and came back a bit later for our order. I got 2, eegs, toast, and home fries ( They make home fries the proper way!) and a side of homemade corned beef hash. Wife got blueberry pancakes with a side of sauasage links.
We waited a bit longer than normal for our food, but they were slammed the place was full, waitstaff was supper busy and I am sure the kitchen was as well.
Did, I mention that ALL Veteran's ate free that day 11/11. Not only were they slammed they were give back to the community and Veteran's. Who can't like a place that does this?
Our meal came, very hot. It didn't sit at all it seems, which is good. Our coffee cup were kept full. I was thanked again for my service. The corned beef hash was awesome (order the corned beef hash!) The meal was perfect, real VT maply syrup, awesome homefries, 4 links of sausage, and corned beef hash that was so I almost ordered more to bring home.
So... we ate, bill came and it was as expected. Mine was subtracted from bill except hash as expected it was extra. We paid then came the actual charge... It was less than what the original bill was. All we can figure was the hash was subtracted as well. We left a tip that was almost as much as the original bill. It still wasn't enough for what they did for the Veteran's that day. I wish I could have done more.
They are a super place to eat. Go there even if it is a bit further than you normally would go. They are located right on US RT 2. Not far from ST Johnsbury, nor the interstate. Stop by, eat, order the hash if you can. Their meal are affordable and the coffee flows well.

Happened upon this diner by chance. What a great find. Food was exceptional. Especially the Ruben sandwich.

As a public service, we have now systematically tested for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Super friendly service in person, easy and reliable online ordering, tried and true delicious selections for food. Love the breakfast skillets and the burgers especially! And truly, the view can’t be beat.

Appreciate the dog friendly patio and special shout outs to Brooke and Bryana, our servers du jour :)

My husband and I went here for dinner. The poutine was awesome! Great food, friendly service, and good atmosphere. Will return again on our next trip!

Real down home cooking! We travel from Berlin, NH to enjoy you're great food and prices! Even bought 2 birdhouses that they sell...🍻🍴🍝

I ordered seafood. I know, who oders seafood inland? Lol but it was fresh and good. The only negative was they did not have a full bar. We were able get beer so we were fine.

The fries with gravy were phenomenal but truly the best part is the view from the window seat.

I was pleasantly surprised! My wife had the chicken tenders w/salad, she's very pleased with her meal. I had the seniors scallops w/ fries and a salad. The scallops were absolutely delicious. Great coating big scallops cooked to perfection. I was very impressed to get that great a meal in northern VT. on a Monday afternoon. I will definitely be returning much more! My wife's birthday so we both had dessert. Both the carrot cake and the chocolate cream pie were exceptional. We both had a great meal. Great service, nice views of the river, can't beat it!!!

I've been back several times since. Still excellent meals, service, and atmosphere. I really enjoy the prime rib on Friday and Saturday. Side salad is very good as well as their baked potatoes! I enjoy the end cut myself medium to well done, which they do beautifully! It's still a great restaurant and dining experience!
