State Game Lands Shooting Range

Excellent range. Lots of booths at the 100 yard range with a cover and basic amenities. No RSO which is nice and every one did a good job communicating to go down the range. There's a separate section for patterning your shotgun and another for your bow and another for trap shooting. Just remember you need a permit (allows 1 guest) to attend and always clean up after yourself!

No bathroom facilities and not pet friendly.

Nice range. I went at noon during a weekend and it wasn't too crowded, granted it rained a little. People there were friendly and safe. I used the 50 yard and 100 yard rifle range. Bring a good staple gun or duct tape or something to fix your targets. Setup multiple targets and bring binoculars or something so you don't have to keep walking across to check your hits.

Also, the only way to get to the range is via a dirt backroad, so keep that in mind if you have a small car and it's wintertime. And have your permit and ID, because a game warden may drop by.

I shot there for the first time today, 8/5/21. I think the Game Commission is definitely doing a great job. The area was well maintained and clean. You can see where the monies are going for hunting licenses. I look forward to returning and enjoying my day again. Well done!

I'd like to say this place is terrible don't go because I enjoy it so much. There is ample land to hunt or hike and a creek to fish. It is garlands not a park so trails aren't always well established. There is a rifle range and shotgun range for clays. You must have a PA hunting license to use the ranges and abide by state laws. The ranges are as nice as the people who use them

Place is the best range around , shotgun pattern range ,clay birds,pistol,rifle ranges just very orderly n patrolled .

Nice cover to keep you out of the sun. Clean from trash and a brass pickers dream. If I remember correctly three 50 yard and about 10 100 yard benches. Very few people on a Monday morning and the few people that were there followed the rules without problems. New shooters just asked questions like no pistol allowed at this range.

Came here on a weekend (Saturday and Sunday). The shotgun/clay area is uncovered. But there is a covered area for rifle. There seemed to be a brand new area for archery yet to be listed on their website. Looking forward to coming back.

Clean place to shoot. I would like a shorter range for sidearms, but I understand that is not really what this range is for.

They have ample parking, lots of land, a solid management plan, varied terrain, tons of wildlife, and in addition to the regular 50/100 yard rifle range, this one has a shotgun range.
What more could you want?

Nice open clay range nice benches for rifle does not have a pistol range though but still great site

My friend and I go up to these game lands every year and they never disappoint. We always get some pheasant, fresh air and a good walk.

It's simple and gives you a place to legally shoot your guns.

Nice quiet place to be yourself , gun fire isnt noise , its release and relaxation .

Is’t free or you have to pay to get there ? And also what kind of safety you got there ?
