Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Church

The Holy Resurrection of Christ Serbian Orthodox Church in Lebanon is a lovely, welcoming church. It is the oldest Serbian Orthodox Church in the United States, and it was built in 1916 by Serbian immigrants who came to America to work in the ore mines. A few of these early immigrants refused to build or establish their own homes until the church was built. The interior is ornate with the walls and ceiling work painted by Serbian artist Svetozar Popovic, who works can be found in world famous galleries, such as the Louvre in Paris. It is a gem and a beacon of lasting faith in the city and county.
