Riley's by the Sea

The food was good. The special holiday drinks were small for the cost. You need to leave a $20 pp deposit when making reservations. Great location by the sea wall. The space is adorably decorated but the strong fish smell inside (not outside) was a bit off putting.

Just phenomenal! The atmosphere, food and service were exceptional! This was by far the best meal we've had all week, and one of CT's most festive restaurants!

I had the best experience with a great hostess recently! Her name was Catherine , and she was absolutely amazing. She was super friendly, attentive, and always had a smile on her face. She made great recommendations and went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic dining experience. I couldn't have asked for a better waitress! At the end of the experience, someone in our group dropped their phone down into the rocks. She took the time out of her day to help us retrieve the phone from the rocks. Thank You!!👍

One of our favorite neighborhood go to after a busy day of work! They never disappoint. Our favorite meal - Ahi tuna salad, and Sea Scallop Caesar!
Visited again now that’s it’s closer to Christmas and found a Holiday wonderland! You have got to see this in person to appreciate but sharing some photos to entice!

This is definitely a destination place. It’s right near the shore with panoramic water views and has a live band playing on the weekends. I like that they aren’t pessimistic with covid restrictions. Definitely has a free-spirited vibe near the water.

Reservation is required, they don’t do walk-ins lately.

The staff are friendly, attentive and pleasant. The service was definitely A-1.

My food was fresh and memorable! Every dish was delicious. I mean delicious.

Riley's by the seas located in Stratford, Connecticut, right by the seawall. Not only is this place wonderful during the summer but now during the winter Christmas season they have decorated the interior of the building.
I would recommend calling and reserving a seat as there is not a lot of seating inside but the atmosphere is wonderful.

The service was wonderful. There was a wonderful Christmas music in the background.

I would check out their Facebook page as they are always doing something fun like an ugly sweater night. If you live in the area I would suggest that you stop by and have something to eat. The food is absolutely the delicious.

Beautiful day to eat outside on the patio in late October. Was able to make a reservation for lunch and enjoyed a table overlooking the sound. Food was excellent, prepared exactly as ordered. I had broiled cod, done perfectly and accompanied with still crisp sauteed veggies and rice pilaf. My friend had fish and chips and was also happy with her meal. Server was very sweet and although very busy, made an effort to check on us multiple times.

What an incredible lunch my sister and I just had. The fish and chips was tender and hot and Oh my god delicious . We also had the crab dip which was to die for. Our service was prompt and our waitress was so friendly. I will most definitely be back when I return home!!!
My sister will and can come back any time. P.S. If you dip your fries in the crab dip you will have another great experience! Thank you Rileys for letting us sit outside. Our food never flew away.

Updated Review 6/6/2020: I am happy to say Riley’s is the first restaurant I dined in at after some of the COVID restrictions were lifted. The restaurant was obviously following all of the COVID policies and procedures all while continuing to deliver top quality food. What a gem!

All I can say is WOW!!!! It was warm, friendly, so festive and over the top with decorating. I took my mom with us to see it too. And where do I begin about the food! How about all cooked from scratch, meatball app and deviled eggs amazing I can't wait to go back soon

This place is amazing. I came here a couple of weeks ago with some friends and let me tell you the food here is so good I couldn't leave anything behind! Also their staff is polite and friendly. Beautiful water front view is a plus if you want to bring your significant other for a get away!!! Great affordable prices as well. Crab cakes are 👌 and try the lobster Mac and cheese👍👍👍

Best view in Stratford, very good food. Riley Burger is exceptional, I honestly dont know of a better one anywhere and I've tried many. Perfectly seared over-sized patty of quality meat on a sturdy roll that lasts to the end. 4 o 5 variations, all great.

Riley's is my go-to, usually on a Friday no-cook night. Without question! The Riley's Burger is phenomenal. Always cooked to perfection for me. They have a great bar, local feel, and attentive staff. A few favorites: Grilled Buffalo Wings, Tuna Tartare, Fish Sandwich, and the Riley's Burger (of course). Very quick on the orders (curbside). Last time I called 10 minutes before closing, and they took care of me, no problem. That's caring about your customers. Go for the food. Stay for the service. Top notch.

Awesome food & service last night! Went on Tuesday at 8 and had a fantastic meal, The tuna tartar with fried wontons was my favorite. We got the crab cake special - very fresh with tons of crab meat. They should add this permanently to the menu. The grilled wings and clams were also delicious. I will gladly go back ASAP :)

Loved the food and cocktails. Lobster Mac'nCheese is a must try. Will definitely go back for the beach view and food.
