Best Bed Bugs in Pennsylvania

Rating: ⭐⭐☆☆☆

I recently had the misfortune of staying at Julia's Motel during my visit to Pennsylvania, and sadly, my experience was far from pleasant. From the moment I entered the room, it became evident that the place was plagued by an infestation of bed bugs and roaches, which instantly made me question the cleanliness and hygiene standards of this establishment.

Let's talk about the bed bugs first, shall we? The blood-sucking creatures seemed to be having a field day, taking advantage of the lack of proper pest control measures. I had the 'pleasure' of waking up several times during my stay to incessant itching and angry red welts on my skin. Trust me when I say, I've never been so eager to leave a place in my life!

As if the bed bugs weren't enough, the motel also generously provided a population of roaches that seemed to have taken up permanent residency in the room. These creepy crawlies made their unwelcome presence known as soon as the lights went out, upping the creep factor to a whole new level. It was a battle of wits against these persistent pests, and it's safe to say they won most of the rounds.

While I understand that motels are not meant to be luxury accommodations, I do believe that maintaining a minimum level of cleanliness and pest control should be a priority. Unfortunately, Julia's Motel failed miserably on both counts.

Apart from the vermin issue, another disappointment was the overall condition and upkeep of the room. The interiors were worn-out, showing visible signs of neglect and lack of investment. The linens and towels provided appeared old and tired, and the bathroom could have definitely used a deep cleaning.

Moreover, the staff's apathetic response to my complaints about the bugs was disheartening. It felt as though these issues were nothing out of the ordinary for them, which made me question whether they took their guests' comfort and satisfaction seriously.

In fairness, Julia's Motel did have a few positives. The rates were relatively affordable, which initially attracted me to book a stay here. Additionally, the location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions. However, these small redeeming factors were overshadowed by the glaring bed bug and roach problems.

All in all, I cannot recommend Julia's Motel to anyone. The persistently present bed bugs and roaches, combined with the lackluster cleanliness and indifferent staff, made my stay a nightmare. Save yourself the itchiness, sleepless nights, and general discomfort by seeking accommodation elsewhere.

I hated/HATE this place because the woman that manages the place for the owners that are to my knowledge out of state and NEVER seem to care about whats happening. Im talking about how everyone pays a different price. If your younger, you pay more, if you have kids, you pay more, she collects rent sometimes between 8 and 9 oclock in the morning and if you dont come to the door say because you work 3rd shift and are asleep....she will let herself in and she will wake you up for it. This place is the epitome of bad business and borderline abuse to regular people like you and I. So if your wanting to stay here with your family....id think twice. Theres a nice highway overpass in the area id rather stay then to subject my family to this place. Godspeed!

I was in this place from the 1st of August till the 27th of August, in my time there both me and the woman that's now my wife were bitten repeatedly by bedbugs. We had several issues with the management of the motel, this is not a place I'd recommend to my worst enemy. If you're in desperate need of a place I'd try almost anything else before staying at Julia's motel.
