So let's start this off with some notes. I have been in the maintenance, contacting business for years. I can cut a tree down mill that Lumber and build a house from it. Joey has preformed excellent.

I'm not a fan of doing slate roofs, and when time came to do my own personal slate roof repairs I'd figure I would shop around. The price Joey quoted seem very fair for the work to be done.

And there is where the normality of the situation goes away. Joey was responsive and quick with a quote and communicating with my wife. I work 73hrs a week, and he took the time to explain everything to her. His craftsmanship was exceptional. I'm not speaking as a consumer, I'm 100% serious when I say he did an outstanding job. The screws he used for the attic fan were way above standards, that's a little detail I notice. His lines where straight, and his ability to cope with my old farm house was awesome.

I paid half up front and the rest after he finished the job. Pretty standard contracting right there. I have a full quote of the work that was done, and a written 15 year guarantee.

I never meet this man b4. I found him on Google like many will do. I deal with crazy quotes and poor craftsmanship all the time. The poor reviews on here do not seem to fit the man I have met.

But like with all my reviews if something was to go south and I change my mind, I will absolutely keep everyone up to date.

I cannot speak highly enough of Joey and his crew. They're genuinely good people and expert level slate roofers. Joey traveled to a prospective home purchase in Baltimore City and inspected it the very day I contacted him. He provided excellent insight into the 133 year old peach bottom roof we ultimately purchased based on his inspection and estimate. He gave us an estimate that I believe was fair and comprehensive.

Once work began Joey and his crew worked diligently through the summer heat (weather & rain permitting) to provide a finished product that I am very proud to own. Both chimneys, both the one removed and the one repointed, were both massive undertakings, but they accomplished it with no problems.

I can't believe how much these guys know about slate and installing copper. Joey is able to identify and date all types of slate design features, valleys, peaks, chimney design... it's mind boggling. Often we'd discuss design features of our roof and how they relate to region, location, and date of construction. I've learned alot. Joey and his crew are certainly master tradesmen and really love their work.

Joey did the repairs himself and they look awesome. He was quick to respond and really knows slate roofing. He did not up sell me but did the necessary repairs and surveyed the whole roof. A pleasure to deal with.

Now that the work is complete, we're super satisfied. He took pictures before, during and after the work, and explained what needed to be done and why. Joey and his crew did a wonderful job restoring our slate roof. We discovered that our roof had a huge leak and a lot of damage from big winter storms. Joey came out to look at our roof, on a Sunday. He explained the damage and the work that needed to be done. He started and finished the project on time and in budget, dispite all the rainy days. He and his workers went above and beyond in their work, very consciencious, skilled, and cleaned up every day. His work speaks for itself, it's impeccable and dependable because it's rained a lot and no leaks! I smile everyday I come home from work, the roof looks beautiful. Neighbors have noticed and they hired Joey to repair their slate roofs. When we're ready, we plan to have him come back to work on our back roof.

Joey came out to measure for two custom copper chimney caps. He took the time to explain the process and was right on time with delivery and installation. Not only did he do mine, Joey Wildasin Slate Roofing also made a neighbor of mine a custom slate chimney cap that looked just as beautiful. It is rare to find a company who you can trust. I would definitely do business again.

Would not recommend. Had two inspectors comes and tell me between 20-25 tiles needed to be replaced. Before even getting on my roof he says the whole thing needs to be replaced! Then when he gets up there he starts taking a pick axe to my chimney. In what world do you hack away at something during a consultation?? Then got quoted the famous 70k price. Go somewhere else. Confrontational, rude, and trying to get a quick buck.

I have the right person. I was the buyer of a home in April. This happened during my inspection.
