Bill's Drive In

Every once and a while you stumble upon a local favorite. The spot where Grandpa took Grandma for their first date. The drive-in that's been there for four decades. The best cheeseburger in town. The place where the little-league team celebrates their wins.

Bill's Drive-in is likely just that, and a whole lot more.

I came in with my brother and his girlfriend, Emma, after visiting a local Christmas tree farm. We were starving and we always struggled to find something for everyone. Well, we had no problem here. The menu is huge!

I had a Gyro which I read was awesome, and it was. Along with cole slaw and onion rings (I was really hungry). My brother had a chicken sandwich and Emma had a burrito bowl because she could.

It was busy but everything came up quickly and hot. You can call in your order if you like but you need some forethought and then you won't see the specials, yes, they have specials.

It's a great spot and I even think I saw a couple on a date that someday might be someone's grandparents. Glad to see the tradition lives on.

I only went here once so I have a limited experience; but first impressions are important and Bill's definitely left a great one. The staff is friendly and the food is awesome for a diner.

If you're looking for a hidden gem, this definitely is one.

Food:
- I had a breakfast western sandwich; something I never had before and it was fantastic. Hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Definitely would try it!
- I also had an extra hash-brown with it and was one of the best I've had from a diner; minimal grease, nice seasoning.

Service:
- Even though they were busy, they dealt with orders quite quickly and were friendly.
- The menu is all posted at the counter, isn't too difficult to read and retains the atmospheric styling.

Other:
- Similar to Shady Glen or Prime Time this has a 50's atmosphere to it and was pleasing to be around.
- Prices are very good considering the pandemic and how inflated everything has gotten.

It's a great place to get a quick bite to eat. The food is good. A basic all-American menu.

I went here with my fiancée. We got a burger, chili dog, curly fries and mozzarella sticks. Everything is fresh. Food was ready in about 3 minutes. I’d recommend coming in to sit down and enjoy the food. This place brings back memories of when you were a kid and went to a drive-in with your parents. I loved it

Moved to the area 5 years ago and this was the first place we went when we were moving in. Great welcome to Monroe with a classic dinner feel with fast quality food... not fast food. Just met the new owner today and happy to say their goal is to keep things the way they are and keep providing same quality of food and service.

Your typical 1990’s canteen style restaurant where you can get pretty much any type of sandwich you want. They also serve breakfast and dinner. But lunch is where it’s at. Be prepared for a line around lunch hours during the week, as it’s a local favorite!

The best French toast ever!! We drove 45 min from Branford to enjoy our Fav spot!! The coffee is always fresh and the bacon 🥓 "Perfection "!!

Bills has been a staple in the area for years. And I can’t remember when I have thrown in an order on a busy day and they have it waiting perfectly as I ordered. I would much rather go to Bill Drive In over McDonald’s across the street!!

As far as fast food goes I love this place. You don't break the bank taking the kids for burgers and fries. Nostalgic taking the grandkids there.

Great place to bring the family or dine alone. Bill's has just about everything from complete breakfast dishes to breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, French toast. Great burgers & hot dogs & their gyro sandwich is my personal favorite. They serve all 3 meals throughout the day...breakfasts, lunches & dinners. I Definately recommend Bill's for good food & a good time. They also have car shows on weekends sometimes; all types of cars; antiques to racing cars. Please give me a "Like or Thumbs up for my review on Bill's Drive in; it's Greatly appreciated.

I've only ordered the double hamburger and fries and the BEC on English but both were outstanding.

Ordering was easy. Served hot by a friendly staff. Value for dollar is phenomenal !

10/10 amazing. This diner has an amazing variety of food as well as drinks. The service here is amazing all the employs are super nice and kind. The food taste amazing and is so delicious definitely one of the best diners I’ve been to.

I stopped here for a quick breakfast on a Saturday morning. The place was mobbed! The service line was quick, efficient and attentive. My Turkey, Mozzarella omelette and potatoes came out much more quickly than anticipated!

Apparently, this is a popular local place! (I’m not a local). But the pictures and history on the walls was entertaining and sort of interesting!

I’ll be back when in the area!

We love this place. Homey feel really nice people and down to earth environment where you can relax and not worry about your kids talking loud or being rambunctious. We love the bacon egg and cheese with hash brown. Seafood is good here too actually

I've been going there for years and it's always a enjoyable experience.
Food is fantastic, lighting, cleanliness and a relaxing atmosphere. It's great for a quick bite to eat or bring the whole family.

Friendly, fast, basic eatery. Easy to get something tasty to eat, including vegetarian, as you are doing errands. If you have a furry family member, they are wonderful at accommodating for their meals while providing outside seating.

Great cafe with a big menu at reasonable prices and great quick service.
Go on the right night in the summer and enjoy some classic cars and some rods.
