Short Beach Park

I stop by everyday to view the water. Still nice. Love the low tie and when I can I surf fish. It's connected to the housatonic river so for sure you will catch some Blues and striper.

Home away from home, the beach will always and forever call me. Nothing like home. Sun , sand, family, fun! Snack shack was great the past summer and there is so much to do from volleyball to swimming and all things in between!

My hometown beach ! It's come along way since 1977! No more landfill smell ! Great place to walk park spark a jay !

My family and I were just driving around when we noticed this beach. It has beautiful views and it looked very clean and well maintained it was cold when we went so we didn’t do any swimming. There is also a nice playground area for the kids to play so that is a plus.

Great townies park. $20 for non-townies. Groomed sand. Ample parking. Clean bathrooms. The friendly staff let me do a Google Drive-By.

This is one of the best parks in the area. The beach itself is typical for this part of the state; not the greatest. My kids and I have been coming here since they were small. There are picnic facilities, an excellent playground and the entirety of the beach area has something to offer for everyone... nice long walk, tidal pools and salt marsh on one end and the general beach area on the other. Spring, Summer or Autumn, Short Beach is always a good time

I came here for a free movie event I saw on Facebook. Very nice atmosphere. I'm not sure what it looks like on a regular day when beachgoers are here. Right now, seems pretty laid back and family-oriented.

Love it. It's my hometown beach. Always kept very clean, and everyone is usually friendly and respectful. My family and I have been renting a pavilion there for the past 16 years to hold our annual 4th of July BBQ.

Quiet, Clean beach, Peaceful, Infinite view of Ocean and not congested with people.

Not the best beach in the world, but you'll love it anyway!! Great view of the sound with plenty of beach space. There are picnic areas, play areas, baseball and soccer fields, basket ball (SINGLE RIM!!) and tennis courts available to use not to mention a par 3, 18 hole golf course. It slso features nesting grounds for 2 types of birds, the piping plover and the least tern, and also to the horseshoe crab!! Events are regularly held there during the summer, and food trucks make their way in and out on busy days. Plenty of parking, free for Stratford residents, and $20 for out of town residents, though you could always park in the golf course parking lot, and walk over.. :)

Nice comfortable clean beach. Got there on a Thursday at 8am stayed till 1pm and there was plenty of space

This place is quite the gem. It's the perfect size beach with all that you would need including clean bathrooms with showers. I loved the crowd, the diversity, the abundance of beautiful shells and the views. This was absolutely worth the hour and fifteen minutes it took to get there from New Milford.

Great beach! It’s clean has a concession stand, a nice park for the kids play, pavilions for family picnics.

Love spending the day at the beach. Always kept nice and neat.

If you want to go somewhere that’s relaxing and don’t mind people having fun around you, this is the place! It’s very peaceful and fun at the same time. The parking is close to the beach itself, there’s a play area for the kids on the beach, there’s benches close to the play area to comfortably watch the children play. I love coming here.
