Attended a gathering here. I still consider this a nicely situated spot for the community to gather. It was a nice event and all went smoothly.

Good, secure, outdoor farmers market with a variety of products and vendors. Some take just cash e.g huge mangoes for 3 bucks each while others accept ebt. In addition there is a booth on hand to give you double value on your intended ebt purchase. The latter is done via tokens and or vouchers. The Downtown Farmers Market occurs every THURSDAY from 10:30am-2pm. For just 6 bucks ebt I picked up blueberries, garlic snaps, zucchini, and brocolli. Came to roughly 12 but 6 was doubled. Healthy, fresh alternative to your diet. Enjoy!!

Open space for gathering and concerts. The protesters were well behaved, but will advise that parking there is tight. It is right at the city center.

A dog walk, festival, Christmas tree lighting, Bpt Arts, farmers market.... So many attractions and community gatherings happen in and around this park. It is truly the Heart of Downtown. My downtown, My Bridgeport

Smiths acres farm has the best corn and produce. Betzy's Latin Flavors has awesome Empanadas. I will go every Thursday.
