This place was a big surprise. My parent's and I ordered two appetizers (calamari and a meat and cheese plate). Both were excellent and came out quickly. I had a special (chicken bianca) and there was so much cheese but I really love cheese so it was great XD My dessert was the best part: vanilla gelato with whipped cream. So creamy. The waitress was incredibly nice too. Definitely coming back to try other dishes.

Absolutely hands down the best Italian food I have ever had. I dream about the chicken scarpariello daily. This is a family owned business and Carmine and his staff have always been exceptional every time I have come. Absolutely recommend!

Went for my dad's birthday, it's his favorite. The food was good, it was quiet and our group of 7 was in an alcove away from other diners so we felt pretty relaxed. The cocktails and wine selection are quite good. Prices for everything are reasonable.

There are not enough words to say how INCREDIBLE this special place is! Marcello, Alyssa and Jonathan are on top of EVERYTHING! My husband and I are here just about every Saturday night relaxing and enjoying absolutely every single moment. The Clams Oreganata are OUT OF THIS WORLD! Then anything…..literally anything of the menu is just delicious. This is a family that takes incredible pride in ALL that they do and gosh….I JUST CAN’T SAY ENOUGH! Thank you for a fabulous experience week after week!!! 🥰

Amazing food and such kind staff! My 3-year old couldn’t get enough of the marinara sauce and was dipping his pizza in it! His pizza was incredible and my eggplant parm was out of this world! The chicken special was also delicious. We will be back very soon!

Great Italian restaurant for when you want an upscale dinner. There was only one server when we went, but she was great! All our dinners were delicious. Drinks are amazing too.

This restaurant is absolutely awesome!! Everything was delicious from my pomegranate martini to dessert. The wait staff was very friendly and professional and I actually had to compliment Carmine the owner on his fabulous cooking skills. He was such a pleasure to talk to as well. If your in town be sure to come to this restaurant you will not be disappointed.

We had a party of 9 at Carmine's last night and it was my first time at the restaurant. Everyone in my party raved about the experience. The food was great, the service outstanding, and the restaurant is so beautifully appointed. Plus, the bathrooms are spotless. I've found my new go-to restaurant!

Staff is great and very friendly. They went out of their way to make one night very memorable for me. Their bacon pizza is delicious. The restaurant itself is elegantly decorated and very inviting. Turn around time for a fresh brick oven pizza is 15 minutes.

I have been going to Carmine’s here in Shelton and Brick Oven in Bridgeport before that because Carmine and his staff make the best food and have the best service I’ve experienced in over 4 decades, I have lived in different parts of the state and still travel back to here when I want a great meal or it’s a special occasion because it’s always been out of this world.

Great, authentic, wholesome Italian food. As soon as you walk in you can smell the delicious food, and the servers are there to greet and seat you quickly. Try their amazing Pizzas, Calamari Fritti ( FRESH and amazing sauce), and their Lasagna!!!!

Excellent food and outstanding family. The prices are reasonable, the food is fresh and perfectly prepared, and the staff makes you feel at home. I recommend this restaurant for just a bite to eat or for a full family dinner and everything in between. Very satisfied.

Really nice atmosphere.and a good menu with Italian favorites. Their marinara is exceptional. Try dipping the mozzarella fritta in the marinara as a great appetizer.
