J's Crab Shack

The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable. I really liked the New England Clam Chowder it was very hot and full of flavor. I got the captains platter which had shrimp, fish, scallops and calamari. I opted for the baked potato which was for an additional fee but was well worth it. My food came in less than 15 minutes I was pleasantly surprised on the speed in which I received my food. As an avid seafood eater I will definitely be back. I highly recommend the experience.

A fantastic seafood focused restaurant that serves up delicious food in a counter serve joint. This place is located a little bit off the beaten path and behind the main street but the plentiful amount of parking and tons of seating inside make it a winner. The decor inside is casual and and has the vibe of a seafood joint near the ocean.

I got a hot lobster roll with the butter on the side and it was quite delicious. The roll itself wasn't toasted and a plain french baguette but it was still quite tasty with some drawn butter poured over top. The lobster was perfectly cooked and sized just right and still warm. The fries nice and crispy, coleslaw portions were quite small and a little too acidic for my taste.

My friend got a special for the day which was some fish tacos which looked quite tasty as well. Portion sizes are nice and large. Service was quick and friendly.

Laid back atmosphere, far from fancy, everything is served in plastic, Food & wine was good, place is tucked away in the back. Staff was friendly. Fresh seafood.

Really satisfied with everything I ordered. I recommend the crab cakes, stuffed clams, fried scallops and lobster bisque. I only wish I had more of their homemade tartar sauce.

J's crawfish boil was extremely good. Everything tasted good and nothing was over cooked. The only negative thing I will say is there was a dead fish in one of their tanks.

Delicious lobster grilled cheese and clam chowder! Big chunks of both lobster and clams. Very fresh tasting!

The food was great and the servers were so nice and helpful and the food was great. Would definitely go back.

I called ahead for an order. It was misplaced and had to be filled while I waited. The person helping me at the counter couldn't have been nicer. Don't tell her boss but she snuck some extra cole slaw in my bag. I had asked for a little extra but she was very generous. So nice!

They had the Best Seafood. It was fresh and the breading was light and really good. The portions were generous. It is enough for two meals. Really loved it. Well worth the money. Will visit there again. Tables were socially distanced. Wore a mask to go in, you can take it off to eat.

Can't say enough about how fresh and amazing the food was, the fantail shrimp were OUTSTANDING. The prices were really, really good for the quality of fresh seafood that was served. The crab cakes were three whole dollars. The service was right on time. We watched our game at the bar while we ate, the atmosphere was nice in the 21 and up side of the restaurant. They also have a fresh seafood market on premise. GO EAT THERE!

With the combination of Liviu Pop's music series on Thursday nights, and great food at excellent prices; J's Crab Shack is a go to place for us. No cover charge for always great music. Pricing on food is simply fantastic. Always prepared well. The servers always are friendly even though they always seem to get a bit confused on where the food goes, but it's become part of the charm of the place. On thursday nights just about everyone is a regular so everyone enjoys the show.

Great customer service. The girl that helped us explained the ordering process. Assisted us with getting extra chairs and umbrellas for outside dining. Food was amazing as always and catered to our dietary needs of no dairy and no eggs allergy.
