Capital Spirits

This is the liquor store where everyone knows your name, but not really. It just seems that way. Very warm people working here. Oh and of course there’s liquor to purchase. The new space is very bright and larger. Cheers!

I was passing through town on our way home and Capital Spirits really took care of me. Their selection alone was pretty amazing and top that with great customer service.

Very good store with personable employees. Usually not busy there so it's quick and convenient. DT Hartford location.

Good prices, great selection, even better staff. Seriously, they are great. Management should be really pleased and compensate accordingly.

Incredible beer selection. When I searched for "beer" I did not expect to find such a wide variety of local and cross-country craft beer. Their wine and liquor selection look awesome too. One suggestion - with such an emphasis on craft beer, I wonder if it'd be helpful to rename as "Capital Spirits and Craft Beer". Will definitely return.

I placed an online order with Capital Spirits. FedEx dropped the ball and lost my order in transit. I called Capital about it and without any hesitation the woman I spoke to apologized profusely and rushed me a new bottle. That's what I call fantastic customer service. Don't hesitate to give Capital Spirits your business. They have a great selection and they'll take good care of you.

Great selection, placement. Very close to old statehouse square. Staff is incredibly knowledgeable and I would trust their advice on everything from beer to wine, even liquor. Hopefully Curtis is working when you visit as he is the most knowledgeable.

Placed an order online to be shipped to Buffalo. I spent enough to get the free shipping. Placed the order on Thursday and was here by Saturday. My bottle was well packed and arrived in perfect condition. I will definitely be ordering from here again!

Have had many amazing experiences shopping here thanks to Curtis, whom I believe is the manager. He always has great recommendations as well as insightful information about their wide selection of alcohol. Highly recommend.

I wanted to send a little something to family members in CT, so I ordered through a delivery service. Unfortunately, at the same time that I placed my order someone else was at the store purchasing the last of the bottles. (This is not uncommon when using the delivery service and the bottle is pretty popular) They reached out right away to let me know and they were very apologetic. I am not sure who I spoke with but he was friendly & helpful. He told me when the next shipment was expected to arrive, so I called a few days later to make sure that they product was available. I even asked them to suggest a gift for someone and they were very kind to do so. I placed an order and they delivered right away. I’d definitely order from them again.

Store hours are generous, selection is perfect for Hartford's burgeoning young downtown vibe. Staff is friendly and the prices are commensurate-sometimes even less expensive than the suburbs-with the area. Great shop!

Curtis was very helpful in showing me all the Connecticut craft beers. They have an entire cooler dedicated to Connecticut craft beers, I like IPA's and I had way over 20 to choose from. Very well organized with other spirits and a good selection of wine for my friends. When I am in town this is usually one of my first stops. I stock up on a few good beers to drink with my friends in the evening at the concierge lounge at the hotel. Much less expensive in the local bars and especially the hotel bars that are often $10.00 for a good craft beer.

I have to order a lot of wine/beer/alcohol for work and this is my go-to place. They have an awesome selection and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Not to mention, they deliver, which is awesome! I was trying to find a keg of a certain beer and they called around for me until they could find it and had it delivered to me in no time. Love this place!
