Lena's Italian Kitchen

This location was recently pirchased by new management and they have truly turned the place around! I went with a group of 5 people , and we were all suprised at how good all of our dishes were. I ordered a calzone, and it was perfect! Slightly crunchy on the outside, not burnt, loaded with topings on the inside, and evenly distributed so the experence is consistant. The sause is also fantastic! It was thick, without being super chunky, not super sweet or super acidic, and not salty, which is a problem at many other places. We are looking forward to our next visit.

There is no better place to get a sub or sandwich than Leena's.
I live in Manchester but have lived all over the state, from New Haven to Central CT to here and by far, Leena's is just the best around. Their "full size" sub, specifically the steak and cheese, is to die for. We order it without the veggies, just meat cheese and raw onions....the steak melts in your mouth, the roll is perfectly toasted but yet still soft and never soggy.....
I've tried many different items, and they're always on point. You can tell they use quality food, and they're consistent in their quality as well, and I never had a bad experience in the 3-4 years I've been going. 100% recommend 👌

Just go there and order anything it's amazing food. Very friendly owners but best of all anything you order will be 10000% delicious

Great family owned place with friendly staff. Highly recommend the grinders 👌🏽. The pic is of a half mixed Italian but I have gotten others which have been just as good.

One of the best sausage grinders you can get. I have been dieting and decided to have a cheat meal after a whole month of being good. Every month I am going to spend my cheat meal at Lena's and get a whole sausage grinder, its so jam packed with sausage, cheese, peppers onions and sauce its worth the price.

A whole grinder was 22 dollars or so after tax and its on the higher end but if I wasn't trying to gorge this could EASILY be 2 meals if not 3 at 16''

If you're looking for an authentic, homemade style meal, this is the place to go. One of the best Italian Restaurants in New York City! I highly recommend it! I ordered online, and the whole process was easy and fast. Food arrived hot & before the expected wait time. Great customer service, make sure you ask for Paul :)

This place is amazing, and great deals. All of their Italian food, particularly the CHEESE, meatballs, chicken, pasta, etc.. is amazing, and it's cheaper than a decent fast food meal!

Well worth the price Best place in town to get a decent grinder. service is friendly. Restaurant is very clean.

Food is amazing, I recommend the ITALIAN MIX FOR A GRINDER, PIZZA THE MEAT LOVER, AND FOR SOUP OR SIDES THE CORN COWDER AND MAC AND CHEESE IS A GREAT SIDE ( THE TWO ITEAMS ARE EVERY ONCE AND A WHILE)

Excellent Food, Fast Service, Huge Grinders they weigh them and each get 20 Oz of meat, and the pricing is great for what your Getting. You can eat in or get take out, Awesome New Owners , No more GrandMama Lena yelling

Best meatballs I’ve eaten anywhere!! Huge grinders. Fresh bread and meats delicious pizza. Love the pizza sauce. I’m around the corner so I mostly do takeout. But lovely service for eat in as well

I have lived in Manchester for over 12 years and have never tried Lena's until now. I have been missing out! Unbelievable quality pizza! Best I have had in awhile! New favorite pizza spot! Definitely Lena's! Can not wait to order another pizza! All fresh ingredients, no doubt! Grinders looked super stacked! I'm going out of my mind!!!!!!!

Grinders are out of this world. Great portions and reasonable price. I will keep going back for more. The costumer service is always polite and friendly! 5 starts all the way.

Sandwiches are outstanding. As an earlier posted commented, it is cash only, and they don’t have any type of menu, you have to order of off their board. Portions are large, and that is reflected in the prices, which are a bit higher than normal. A half sub cut in two can easily feed two with normal sized portions. They would probably do a better business if they actually had a paper menu that you could take out and keep at home, as they have a pretty extensive menu, but not knowing the options and prices before ordering might turn some people off. It is worth the trip. I have not had their Pizza, only hot parmigiana grinders from the oven.

Lena's never disappoints! Their grinders are large and generous on the fillings. The Italian mix is a favorite in for our family, and the whole sized grinder gives us enough for dinner for 3 plus leftovers.

***First of all they DO accept credit cards***! Ive been going there for over 10 years and was there last night and tonight!
I talked to Gaetano and Emma about the reviews and they are mad people said they don't accept Credit Cards! So I told them I would correct that for them!
They have the biggest sized grinders around with top quality ingredients, and of course the price of one is $3-$4 more than another 1/2 grinder elsewhere, BUT its like your getting 2 or more grinders worth of meat with the Italian Kitchen! If your hungry GO, GO GO. The Cheeseburg grinder is made like a meatloaf! Just saying... HUGE AND TASTY! Pastrami and Roast beef combo is good too! Just ask!~

Okay, if you want an Italian grinder you must go here! It is definitely something you can share with at least 1 other person!! The pizza is yummy and the staff id friendly. You must try the meatballs too .... just sayin'

Their chicken cutlet grinder is the best I've had anywhere!!The cutlet was not your typical frozen pattie, its seasoned and breaded ,loaded with red peppers and cheese on a nice fresh roll.

Tonight was my first visit to Lena's. Friendly folks and the best sausage grinder i have eaten in a long time. This will be my new go to place for grinders

This place is a gem. Not one thing that I have had from here is anything less than exceptional. The Meatballs are among the top 5 I have had anywhere, the sauce is perfect. You want quality real Italian? Come here, its the place to be.
