The Elephant Trail

When you look as white as I do it's hard to get a restaurant to serve you spicy food. I asked our waitress if I could get my meal spicy. She looked a little worried but said I could order it on a scale of 1 to 5. I asked for 5. She was more worried. She suggested 4 with some hot pepper sauce on the side and that's what I got. She was right and it was perfect. It was hot but still flavorful and not painful. The prices are reasonable especially considering the quality of the food. I will definitely be back.

We dined at this restaurant on a Wednesday evening at 7:30 PM and were pleased to find it both cozy and spacious, with plenty of available tables. The service was excellent; our waitress was friendly and provided thoughtful dish recommendations that did not disappoint.

For our meal, we ordered Chicken Satay, Koong Ka Bogs, Yum Larb, and Drunken Noodle. The Chicken Satay was flavorful, enhanced by two accompanying sauces. It would have scored a perfect 10 had the chicken been a bit juicier. The Koong Ka Bogs were delightfully crispy and, as a shrimp enthusiast, this dish was my favorite. The Drunken Noodle was well-executed, featuring well-marinated flat noodles and a pleasing wok aroma. It was slightly salty, but this was easily balanced by adding some salad from another dish. The Yum Larb was also good, according to my wife, who even asked for a takeout box, a sure sign of her approval.

Our total bill, including tax and tip, came to $60.29. Given the restaurant's convenient location, reasonable pricing, and quality food, we will definitely be returning.

I've been wanting to review this restaurant since I went there with friends months ago. One of the best Thai restaurants around. I started with the Tom Yum soup...delicious... and had cashew nut chicken with jasmine rice. Highly recommend. Can't recall what my friends had, but they loved their choices as well.

My girlfriend and I have been coming here for several months, and not a single time has anything been amiss. The food is always delicious and accurate, whether it be dine in or take out. The staff are always incredibly kind and respectful. We love the atmosphere of the restaurant, it's very warm and welcoming.

30/10 would recommend

Their Pad Thai is bomb, and they give you a great portion for the prize. Actually, the latter comment applies to every dish of theirs. I also greatly recommend their Pho, it's delicious.

We ate dinner for the first time here and it was delicious! The food was good and I like the decor. The waitress who served us was very kind and attentive. Will definitely go here again in the near future.

One of our favorite Thai places in the area! The employees are always so friendly and the food never disappoints. Great portion sizes and great quality - it also comes out SO fast, fresh and piping hot - it's quite impressive. Whatever sauce they serve with the curry puffs app is to DIE FOR and they always give me a small bowl of it even when I don't order the puffs, upon request :)

We ordered delivery tonight from BET and it was perfect! The yellow curry with chicken had the perfect amount of spice, and my husband’s pad Thai was loved by him and my oldest. We love this restaurant (and the one in WH)!

It was one of the most delicious thai meal we have had in a while. Being vegetarians, it sometimes gets difficult to get thai restaurants to get your orders right. We had tried them a long time back and were not impressed and are glad we gave this place a second chance. The entire family loved the dishes and now plan to add this restaurant to our to go place with kids.

Fairly quiet, which was astounding considering how good the food was. Ordered Tom kha and mango curry, both with chicken. Soup was smooth, good amount of sweet and sour, mushrooms well cooked without being mushy. Curry was not as spicy as I was expecting but the mango was the juiciest, softest mango I think I have ever had the pleasure of putting in my mouth. Service was prompt and unobtrusive, which was nice. Only regret not leaving enough room to explore dessert options.

Good place, delicious food and I love the yellow curry is the best, but also the coconut soup and the thai pad. The place is good for celebrate a birthdays and the people are so kind and friendly.

Very tasty! I enjoyed the Pad Thai from the lunch menu paired with the vegetable Tom Yum soup and Spring Rolls. The Summer Roll appetizer was very refreshing and a larger portion than most restaurants offer. They also finished the meal with complimentary sliced fruit. I'd definitely eat here again!

Food is amazing! Staff so kind. Best thai food in the area. I am planning an event and arrnaging it has been easy. Staff gets back to me right away with answers to my questions. They are very accomodating for allergies as well.

By far the best Thai restaurant in the greater Hartford area. Lettuce wraps are a must try.

What can I say...The Elephant Trail exceeded our dining experience...we pre-ordered for 25 guests at our dinner party and were overwhelmed by all the compliments on the quality and quantity of our meal. Guests from New York City said it was the best they ever had! Thank you everyone at The Elephant Trail for the perfect dinner party!

The food is absolutely delicious!!! My daughter loved the orange chicken and I got 3 different appetizers thi wings, lettuce wraps, and veggie spring rolls…all were delicious! Service was wonderful the wait staff were attentive and very nice. It was chilly out so we sat inside but they gave us the option to sit inside or out. It was a little busy but you really wouldn’t know because the staff was very attentive to everyone. This is definitely a must if you are in the area!

Hands down best Thai food dining experience. We had koong ka ban (appetizer), drunken noodle and ginger grilled salmon. Everything was extremely delicious. The staff are pleasant and friendly; and the owner introduces himself and makes sure your dining is exceeding expectation. The ambience is what stands out from other restaurants. Do try the Boba tea with your food.
