Great doctor with really awesome staff! I've been a patient for over 12 years & love the small office atmosphere & personal attention I've received.

Very good doctor who has patience and kindness to listen to every complaint and takes the time to discuss it with me. The ladies who work in his office are also very nice and respectful to me and my mother and everyone, including Dr. B makes us feel like we are family.

My family has been with this doctor for years and he has remained an absent, less than thorough practitioner to the point where we are all ready to leave. He has mixed patients up, brought us in to share abnormal test results for someone with a completely different last name, has neglected care for my diabetic family member, failing to follow standard protocol by referring her to a podiatrist for preventative care. I’ve had to get labs done upon entry into a professional healthcare program and have been very clear with him and his staff by submitting written e-requests AND following up with the receptionist as to what specific labs I need and the first time he COPY and PASTED my yearly blood workup WITHOUT including the labs I specifically needed and requested (which were 2 simple titers). Just this past August, I needed another titer after receiving Hep C boosters and guess what he did for a second time? My yearly work up was copied and pasted to Quest Diagnostics, only this time he managed to include the lab I needed. I should not have to overview if he sent the correct labs and be telling the phlebotomist what to draw, thats his job. He’s pays no attention to detail, has less than stellar listening skills and is not careful in explaining things to his patients all of these traits are wildly important for a primary care physician. I would go elsewhere if you want competent care.

Dr. Sanjay Barochia did not catch that my blood sugar was extremely high on my bloodwork and I ended up seeing an endocrinologist because I wasn’t feeling well. That physician was incredulous that an internal medicine primary care physician was so careless in looking over my lab work! When my 86 year old father, Dr. Barochia’s patient was in the hospital I called Dr. Barochia to let him know because he does rounds I that hospital. Dr. Barochia’s response was that the hospital would no doubt keep him informed. There was no compassionate caring about the well being of my father. I found Doctor Barochia to be EGO driven when I tried to talk with him about these issues. He invited me immediately to “find another Doctor” and reminded me that he deserved respect because “he went to medical school.” He is unwilling to admit when he is wrong, and unsupportive in his care. If you care about the doctor patient relationship of MUTUAL RESPECT do not choose him as your Primary Care Physician. He will not support you and does not listen if you ask questions.

I went to office because of pain in right side, vomiting, and abdominal pains. When I told him this he simply sat saying nothing looking at the wall. If you need a doctor for serious issues he is not the place to go. He has a professional manner, and is very nice, but l have a hernia and it may be giving problems. A liver that may have a stone stuck in a duct. And nothing was done to treat the real problems.
