Chittenden Builders answered the phone, gave a quote within a couple days and scheduled my project in a very efficient manner. Ed the project manager was very pleasant and for the most part answered mine and my wife’s calls if not we had a return call within 24 hours. Our project (roof replacement, light framing and gutter replacement) was a scary thing to walk through and Ed and his team made it feel like he was family and friends coming to help eliminate these worries and troubles my family and I were going threw. They were informative and professional throughout. Next project we have we know what number we will be dialing. Ed responded quickly and was very informative. Came to look over a roof with a possible leak. He wasn't able to locate one but the Ridge cap was loose and he offered to add a few nails at no charge for the visit. He didn't have to do that but it was appreciated.

Hired them for some urgent roof repairs. They were able to get it done quickly and at a fair price. Very thorough and knowledgeable.

Had a great experience with Chittenden Builders, we had a small leak in our roof around the chimney and had been trying to get someone to come take a look for a bit but others weren’t answering/returning calls or weren’t taking on smaller jobs but Chittenden Builders answered the phone and came out same day to take a look and repaired my leak within an hour. I called around for estimates on replacing a small section of roof over the entry way to the basement. Yes, it was a small job but Ed was prompt and thorough in all his communication. He was also very reasonably priced. He provided insight into 'best practices' that I didn't get from other big name companies in the area. Instead of spending 3x as much on the latest in flat roof material technology from another company, he pitched the roof and installed tried and true shingles. It both looks and functions better at a fraction of the cost.

This is the kind of advice and vision I was hoping I'd get from a professional and Ed and team delivered.

We had a chronic small leak in our roof. After trying several other companies without returned calls, I contacted C.B. at 11am on a Thursday and set up a time to stop by the same day when I returned from work. He was timely, friendly, professional and climbed up on our roof to add flashing and caulking at the source of the leak. Trying to find someone to fix our leak has been a frustrating process and C.B. restored my faith in accessing quality and timely home repair at a good value. I will be contacting them again for future projects!

Edward and team went above and beyond to make to find and fix the assorted storm damage on my very challenging roof. I appreciate the quick response time, good communication, and thorough clean-up of the worksite when they were done. One of the best (or many) teams I have had on my property this year. Thanks!

I am thrilled with the roofing job Chittenden Builders did for us. Ed was extremely easy to work with. He stopped by quickly to look over the job, gave a very fair estimate and started work when he said he would. He and the crew worked very hard. Not only is the new roof an excellent job, but he was more than willing to do a few extra things, was always friendly and accommodating and kept the work site in meticulous order. The best part: He stuck to his estimate! I would definitely have Ed and his crew back!

I had inquired with Ed Brown from Chittenden Builders in the fall of 2014 to put a new roof on my house in Burlington. I received a timely estimate for the work at a great price. Ed used quality materials, and was able to complete the project very fast, even came in on Sunday to get it started. I am overall very happy with Ed's professionalism and responsiveness, will certainly inquire with Chittenden Builders again for future work.

Ed helped us out with demo debris removal. He’s been working on another job across the street but kindly offered to lend us a hand. We appreciated this gesture so much! Saved us a lot of time and effort.

After a storm damaged our roof, I called around to several roofers about replacement. Chittenden Builders responded in a timely and professional manner when I was getting the run around from other roofers. They explained my options in an easy to understand manner without being condescending and their pricing was very competitive. They were able to work me into their busy schedule and were extremely fast in fixing our roof. They even fixed a few additional things that they discovered without additional charge. Our new roof looks great!

Ed came out to patch a hole left in my roof after removal of the chimney. He showed flexible by willing to take the job despite it's being a small job and without a well defined start time. He described well the materials we could provide to help the job run more smoothly. He was responsive, communicative, and polite.

Our lake house had been in need of siding for several years when we started looking for contractors. We were very happy we chose Chittenden Builders. Once the project was underway there was some underlying damage to the framing of our home. Chittenden Builders communicated with us, photographed the damage and repairs throughout the process, sent the photos via eamil and phone, and then completed the project properly after receiving our approval. We were very pleased with how this was handled as we live in another state and were not there to oversee the job.

Ed was very knowledgeable and great to work with on getting my roof replaced this winter. His team was curtious and the the new roof install was professional and done quicky (especially for being 20 degrees!). Chittenden Builders helped me repair my roof after a windstorm. They were the only company to respond and get to the site before further damage could occur. They also replaced my entire roof on my new residence in a timely and economical way. Highly recommended!

Dealing with contractors is such a hassle. Most of them don't answer the phone or return phone calls. Don't even think about using email or texts; they go to a black hole. Chittenden Builders is not most contractors. Ed at Chittenden Builders responded quickly when I emailed him, sent me his estimate via email, and he actually texts! He and his crew did a great job at a fair price. I'm already asking him to give me estimates for more work.

Very happy with Edward and his crew. Quick, friendly and trustworthy. They took the time to explain what was done and went above and beyond to assure me that all was fixed. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a company for any repair needed.
