Solid Chinese-American food and very friendly service! The girl at the window was so nice. We ordered through a small window (was difficult to hear, maybe a small screen cut-out would be helpful?) around 5pm on a Sunday night, and food was ready in about 10 minutes and very hot and fresh. Really great chicken teriyaki skewers and egg rolls. Good amount of food for the price, although I was surprised the chicken teriyaki skewers didn't come with white rice, but I was so full I didn't need it! Made two meals easy. Overall a great little place, and I would definitely go again.

One of the Best Chinese Restaurant in Vermont. I would definitely recommend their food service. Although they are busy on some days and will usually take a little longer. But it is worth the wait. Staff are very friendly compared to other. The family works really great together and make delicious food. It has been really hard for many restaurant during the pandemic, and I wish they keep up with the good work. Genuinely Madison ❤

Great place, good food, will definitely be back

It was excellent we used to go to chopstick house 2 and we called several times without answer and they ARE open. I called China Garden and it took them 2 rings to answer. We ordered 2 of beef and broccoli and general tsao and the food tasted very fresh!!!!! It didnt taste heavy or make me hate myself I ate everything and I felt great!

Delicious food and great service. Nice to have many vegan options to choose from. Will definitely go back and recommend to friends.

I've had better Chinese, but China Garden is incredibly consistent and pretty good. Service is very fast normally 10 min, 15 if they're busy. Price is very reasonable for the portions. I normally get two dinners out of the generals chicken (my goto order). It looks like family operation and everyone has been friendly, despite a bit of a language barrier.

This is my favorite Chinese takeout restaurant in the Burlington area. I will drive out of my way to get this. It is your typical American-Chinese faire but the quality is far better than other options closer to downtown.

We eat here on a regular basis. The owners seem to be super sweet, and the food is high quality. We have had a hard time finding a good chinese food restaurant since peking duck closed and the silver palace is too far and way too expensive. This is the perfect place to get your simple chinese food craving to end.

I live very close to here and always end up getting one of their combos, it never takes them more than 15 minutes to get my order together and it's usually just 10 minutes. I'm ashamed to say I can't help getting their crab rangoons, it's 8 of those tasty bastards to an order, so don't try to eat them all yourself, I have to split them with my girlfriend, 4 is a sensible number of rangoons for one human being to consume at a sitting. They're some of the best rangoons in VT right up there with Eastern Dragon in St Albans.

First time here, and am regretting having never tried before. Food was fresh, hot, great flavors and well priced. Friendly staff. Will be back soon.

Wow! Chinese American food done right in the NEK! Yay! Everything is so well done and fresh. The owners obviously care about every part of their business. If I could give more stars, I would.

I am very picky about the Chinese food I eat but I'm telling you right now China Garden has got to be one of the best Chinese foods in Chittenden County I used to only go through China Express but when they went downhill I search for another Chinese restaurant happen to come across China Garden and haven't went anywhere else since in that was close to four years ago

Agree with the flatlander that the seafood probably isn’t the best option, but if you’re paying under $10 for a meal you probably already assumed that.

The experience here was great. Never had a bad food here. Food is very fresh and delicious. Best restaurant in Essex Junction.
