It was an awesome experience.
We had the best night out thanks to this place.

Amazing job to the chef and cooks for the perfectly temped food. We had a perfectly seared rare steak, a perfect burger with aioli and cheese. The mac and cheese rivaled that of my mother's home cooking. Let's not forget the perfectly cooked wings with a hearty coating of an in house sauce, we liked to call "sweet heat." We ended off our night out with a cheesecake slice and a peanut butter pie slice that made me contemplate grabbing one to go.

To the wait staff on hand, you all are amazing but to the 2 gentleman that were waiting tables, thank you. You both made our experience that much better by how attentive you were in a packed dining room. I could only respond with "this is awesome" all evening.

Hands down an amazing atmosphere and awesome place to eat. Already planning our next outing and this restaurant always has a place in it. Keep up the amazing work.

My husband and I chose this place for our 12th year anniversary! They absolutely did not disappoint. It's very charming interior and amazing service was just the build up to the absolutely best steak I've ever had. Very fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. This will most likely be our new anniversary tradition for many years to come! Well done gilde tavern!!!

Had a wonderful dinner for our anniversary tonight. Reservation was observed perfectly. Very nice salad followed by 12oz strip steak on the money cooked medium as requested. The fireplace had a nice fire burning, the grill for the meats is in the open so you can watch them cook them. Nice selection of drinks: tap,bottles, mixed and a comprehensive wine list.
Staff were friendly and engaging. Service was tight. We had a great evening meal and will continue to visit for our special dining occasions.

The staff at the Guild Tavern are all just super customer service oriented and super friendly from the hosts to the servers. Great service, we got everything as we asked for, Emily was our server and she was awesome, though they were super busy, Emily was super fast, amazing server. The food was well cooked, I had the Cod and my wife had the chicken, delicious entrées and the desserts and cocktails all were great as well, we had a wonderful Mother's Day evening. We will definitely be back!

The best restaurant in Burlington!! Everything was wonderful: the food, service, and atmosphere! Such a cozy spot filled with nice people and even nicer food. It was so creative and each bite was awesome, with great sized portions! Can't wait to come back to Burlington and eat here again!

10/10 meal. Awesome ambiance, smells great in the restaurant - smoky. Super clean too. Staff is excellent. Waitress was super helpful, skilled, and friendly. Their craft cocktails are absolutely delicious. Had the ribeye and it was better than in other steakhouses. Little pricey but all around superb experience. As near to perfect as dining can get. 10/10.

We frequent The Guild often. It offers fantastic drinks, great food (the poutine is awesome when it’s on the menu). Steaks are the star of the show. Really, it is all fantastic. A real gem. Highly recommended.

Low key, easy vibe. The tuna ceviche was incredibly fresh. We also went with an heirloom tomato from the specials menu that was fantastic. The smoky grilled bread was a great compliment to the burrata cheese. The cod fish wad different than what I was picturing based on the menu description, and I'm glad! The chorizo with the beans and vegetables was super, and the fish was flaky and moist. Definitely coming back the next time we're in the area!

Very few places in this area that cook steaks correctly. This place knows what they are doing. Custom open flame grill. They take the temperature of every steak, so it's always cooked perfectly. They have a great cocktail menu. Ton of local beers on tap, but the ambiance here is what will keep you coming back. The whole restaurant has a big open layout. You can actually watch the chefs cook your food over the open flame grill. The lighting and decor is very tasteful. They even have a big fire place that you can lounge around. Super unique spot right on Williston road with plenty of parking. Perfect place to bring a date.

Wood grilled sirloin, hand cut fries & tarragon aioli = drool worthy 🤤 They were also very accommodating when it came to my milk allergy!

A must stop restaurant if you are ever in Burlington VT

I knew all good things had come together when I walked through the door and could smell the fragrance of the maple and oak wood that was being used to grill the steak over on open fire. All of the food, including the meat, came from local farms.

The interior was unique with great art, a meat grinder collection, and authentic chicken feeder lamps from reclaimed coups.

My waitress, Christina, had a contagious smile. Her perfect service made my evening all the better.

I started with a drink called their Sunshine Fix which was their house concoction that included a house rum blend, grilled pineapple, coconut, lime, allspice tropical, and bright. I have to say it was wonderful and perfect for the moment.

After, I had their Lambswool, also a house drink, and was blown away. It was perfectly mixed with Green Chartreuse, ginger, lime, rosemary lively, tart, and herbaceous. It is now on one of my best drinks lists.

To end libations, I chose the Market Salad with arugula lettuce, shaved radish, pepitas, cherry tomatoes, croutons, and a sherry vinaigrette dressing. It was a good start.

As a main, I ordered the Wood Grilled Ribeye Steak (Rare). It came on a bed of whipped potatoes, doused in a bearnaise sauce with Al Dente broccoli on top. I am most critical of steaks, and this put me on cloud nine. I highly recommend the Guild Tavern for anyone who loves a great steak.

I would like to add that the bartenders (Alexa and Jack) made some great variations of their favorite drinks for me after dinner (All hail Uber). Both of them here for college, and both stayed for their love of Vermont.

Great Sunday evening. We didn’t have time to reserve a table and were really well welcomed by the staff. The french apple run cake was delicious 🤤

Great atmosphere and dining experience. Dining under dim lights and ambient music. Food and service were great. Reasonable prices. Their cheesecake is really good!

Best martini in Burlington so far. Upscale steakhousish restaurant in South Burlington. Fabulous atmosphere: nice music, cozy lighting/candles, smell of the woodfire oven wafting throughout. Ample parking. We come here a lot as it's close, easy to park/get a reservation, and, when we want meat, it's cooked well and they have a variety of wood grilled seafood and salads. Peanut butter pie is yum and they have great cocktails and wine. Solid, fancier place.

A Wonderful gem in a town filled with mediocrity, you walk in and feel home. Don’t be in a rush as it’s still Vermont time, yet when the food arrives you know no matter the level of busyness in the restaurant the chef gave a damn. And it shows. Go here.

This was the best meal I have had in a long time!
I say at the bar, soccer I was by myself. The service was great. The only negative, was that I didn't realize you had you ask for bread.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful wait staff serving delectable cocktails, mouth watering appetizers, and upscale entrées made with care and attention to detail. Do not sleep on this one. You owe it to yourself to try!

My husband and I traveling to Maine we needed to have a meal.
This establishment has the best atmosphere. The best waitress, Gabriella, what a sweetheart. Her service was top notch.
The food was simply amazing and, oh my God, the flavor. 5 star. I'd give it a 10 out of 10.
We will definitely be back when in the area.
