El Dorado State Park

Beautiful lake with lots of different areas to camp and have a campfire.

It was our first time at El Dorado State Park. There are lots of areas to explore and we all loved the lake. It was perfect to take a short swim on 103° day!

I love this lake because of its size, cleanliness, and beauty. I would recommend everybody to visit this lake. Maybe come flooded during the Spring but in the summer it is a fun place to be. Not a fan of the trees in the water in some parts of the lake but I often enjoy fishing and floating in the lake to keep cool. Has a fairly good sized Marina And plenty of camping spots for any kind of camp or whether it's just for the day or for the whole weekend.

We are there every day. Watch the wildlife, fishermen, boats. Office is very polite & helpful. Come on out & enjoy your day or stay & camp. We have a family CAMPOUT every year.

We camp here multiple times a year. We do both primitive and RV camping just depending on weather and who all is coming. It is always a great time with well kept campsites, roads and bath houses. We prefer to stay on the Bluestem side because we are closer to the boat ramps, beach and bait shop. Highly recommend!

This state park is clean and well maintained. We had a very relaxing and peaceful day here.

I've attended a few events out here over the years from Cross Country meets for my child to the Mud Runs this Father's Day weekend. Always been pleasant folks and the facilities are easily accessed and pretty well laid out. I'm always happy to attend events held here, no problems.

So beautiful. Great camping. Lots of deer and other wildlife to see.

Had the best time despite the storm that came our way Friday evening..

Went to a friend's camping there. The lake is really, really low. Never seen it so low. We were there for socializing this time, so it didn't matter. Watch the deer. They are beautiful creatures and lots of babies running around. Plenty to do there

Love it! Beautiful huge lake. Plenty of campsites and 10 rentable cabins. Great place to get away for a while. Family friendly as well. Get out and enjoy nature. Put this on your list.

Great place to camp and fish

The lake is great fun during the summer. They have a outstanding marina with reasonable prices. The lake makes for great photos of the sunset also. It usually isn't that busy either allowing for good water skiing, wakeboarding, and knee boarding. During the 4th of July they have a great firework display also.

Awesome family weekend at the cabin! My favorite place to shut the world out and recharge! Cabins are modern and resonably priced! Perfect for a couple or a !

Great fun, lots of places to camp

Visited Wichita and reunited with the buddies at the lake. We grilled and had a wonderful time. Call and book a sheltered area, a camping spot or a cabin because most of them are not available to book online.

Awesome big park. Not enough time! Very close to city of El Dorado. Tons of campsites, all very nice. Great biking opportunity, as well. Really enjoyed it.

Busy Busy weekend at the lake. ALL spots were full. It was a calm weekend. They dont allow fireworks, you can still hear them in the distance. Stopped by the store at the lake the staff were really great and friendly.

Awesome lake to go to, went July 3rd to the 6th 2022 and just got back, lake is a bit murky but good condition, they keep the park picked up and there was hardly any other campers around us. Has good fishing and good swimming, campfire areas are a bit lacking and need updated but beyond that was an awesome experience!!

Absolutely fabulous park/camp- ground. The site we are in, is facing the lake and is about 100 feet walking distance from us. Sunsets are just beautiful over the water. Sites are far enough away from the next site and are not all in a strait line. It's a beautiful place to have a wedding which is why we are here. It can be a bit confusing trying to find your site though because there are different sections to the park and roads are not named and sites not clearly marked. I would definitely come back here.
