AdventHealth Medical Group Primary Care at De Soto

I had a wonderful experience at my visit with Dr. Greinke. She was my primary care doctor at St. Luke’s and I decided to stay with her and switched to Advent Health. She has taken such good care of me and always has time to listen and address any problems I have.

I can’t praise this place enough. Booking is easy and the check in process is fast. You can really tell that the staff cares about their patients. Will Dolan APRN, FNP-BC is incredible at what he does. He’s not only extremely knowledgeable but he’s engaged in your concerns and makes the experience comfortable. If you’re looking for a great experience, this is your place.

I am not the kind of person to leave a review anywhere for any reason but this office deserves more than 5 stars. Every single time I call, I am met with the happiest and the most friendly voices on the other end. No matter who it is, they are always so kind and respectful to me. When we come in for my daughter's check ups, they always go above and beyond for her. The staff every step of the way does the best they can to make sure she is comfortable and Happy so my daughter has a positive attitude about going to the doctors. The nurse staff always are so friendly and kind to us and do all that they can to make my baby feel better. Even if it is just putting a smile on her face, it makes everything 100 times better. I couldn't ask for better doctors for us either. If one Dr. Wasn't available to see us, the other would always do their best to make time as soon as the could. I know with confidence that when anyone walks through those doors, they are a priority to all the staff in the clinic. I would recommend this clinic to anyone looking for family care because this is the best care we have ever received.

I was referred by a coworker around a year ago. I absolutely love this office. I live about 30 minutes away, but, the care I get at this office is worth the drive. The front desk is extremely helpful over the phone and in person. I have seen Dr. Jim Boyse and Dr. Lindsey Fields. They are two of the best doctors I’ve had at any office. They do not rush you out of the room like other doctors I’ve seen at other practices. These doctors at this office truly care about you and how you are doing/feeling. They take their time and that is what I love. I’m not just another patient to them. This office is worth the drive!

My kids and I have been seeing Jim at this office for years. I cannot say enough great things in regards to how wonderful Jim and his nurse are in both customer service and patient care. I moved from the area and reside in North Kansas City and still make the one hour drive to see them.

If you are looking for an excellent provider and staff, go see Jim and Marcy!!!

Nurse practitioner Fields is by far the best doc I have ever been seen by. I have struggled with migraines for 10 years and have gone to numerous doctors. She is the first physician to have ever really listened and prescribed the necessary meds to combat my migraines. She also insisted that I check in every four weeks to see how everything is going so we can adjust if necessary. She actually cares that I am getting better not just writing prescriptions and crossing our fingers. 6 stars!

Great customer service! Love the staff of how friendly and knowledgeable they are. From the moment you walk in you are greated with a smile usually by Courtney or Leslie. Great nursing staff from Marcy and Kegan. I have seen Dr. Richard and Dr. Jim and they both are fantastic and they care about you as the patient and make the time and make sure you understand your diagnosis. Looking for a great team I would recommend Desoto Shawnee Mission Primary Care!

We've been seeing Jim and Marcie for over 10 years, and we couldn't be happier with them. Dr. Richard is a fantastic provider as well. Yes, you should expect a bit more of a wait, but only because they don't herd you through like cattle, Jim takes time to explain things, ask questions, and get to know your family.

I can't say enough good things about this place. I've never waited to see the doctor and everyone has been nothing but kind and caring. I really don't understand the negative reviews I've read but then again, some people just don't want to be satisfied. Either way, I'd give this office 10 stars if I could

The doctors and nurses are fabulous! There is one woman behind the counter that is VERY rude with the way she speaks to customers, she is a Hispanic woman. I'm debating on changing doctors offices as I've been going to Jim ever since I was a child, over 20 years. Very sad one person behind the front counter can screw up many others way they think about a place. I'd really be glad if they figured out who it was as I don't like pointing fingers.

My whole life Dr. Jim was my doctor and even now he was my children’s doctor. It upsets me to even have to say so but this office has done nothing but got worse since the updates and changes. They get mine and my children’s personal information wrong very frequently. The upfront people are extremely careless. I can’t even get an appointment for my children anymore let alone myself I am being forced to change offices because everything about this office has gone downhill. It hurts my heart to have to change doctors for my children but I have no other choices when they could give less about making sure you get an appointment scheduled. Are used to try to make appointments and if they didn’t have availability they would call me if they had a cancellation. But what I am being told is that they don’t do that anymore. My kids have seen their fair share of other doctors at this office and it is just not what it used to be.

Dr Greinke is not respecting the patient and she is treating the patient disrespectfully. She questioned the patient inappropriately with disrespect that the way medical providers should not involve. She should follow the code of conduct. I recommend that you don’t see with Dr Gleinke unless she changes her behavior on the patient.

I was absolutely disgusted and disappointed with Dr. Jensen, who I saw on my most recent visit. I love Jim Boyes, who I normally see, but he wasn’t available due to being out of office for an extended period of time. Dr. Jensen is trying to force me to take a higher dose on one of the medications I take, for hot flashes (making it so high, that it’s only prescribed at that dose, as an antidepressant! He lowered the dose on a separate medication, stating that after over 10 years of being on this medication, that I need to ween myself off of (his opinion). That is not possible with what my body has been experiencing since June of 2012. It absolutely disturbs me that he would act in such manner. Terrible bedside manners. I am seeking new care from someone outside the Advent Healthcare Community. I will miss Jim Boyes and his nurse, Marci dearly. We were very open, and personal about my health. Jim and Marci have always been understanding, and so caring. Taking time to listen to any concerns you have, and very thoroughly explaining everything. I could never ask for a better team. Unfortunately, since Dr. Jensen is the overseeing Doctor, who can decide on his own, what “he” wants to do with you, I’m forced to find a new healthcare provider.

I’m a regular and have always had a great visit with each doctor, and nurse at AdventHealth. They listen to your concerns, and address them right away. They have all been very genuine, and have wonderful “bedside manners” I couldn’t ask for a better Health Team!

Extremely long wait times (waited over 2 hours past the appointment time and another 30 minutes in the room) to see the doctor. Forget about being called back if you have a problem or an unusual side effect from some medication you are taking. They just completely ignore you. No return phone calls. Repeated messages get the nurse to finally say, "I left a message for the doctor," and then nothing. Not to mention the outrageous fees. $320 for a 10 minute appointment to diagnose the flu? Outrageous. The location is convenient, but we will not be going back there. Not worth the trouble!
