The most beautiful bike ride I’ve ever been on! A causeway in the middle of Lake Champlain and beautiful views of the Adirondacks and Green Mountains. The bike ferry was so cute and the captains of the boat were really friendly and helpful. I’d ride this every week if I could.

Wow! What an amazing park. The causeway takes you right out into the middle of lake Champlain for amazing views. My wife and I went and were able to catch the sunset and a full moon rise. It's 4 miles and 4 miles back from the parking lot so if you want to walk to the end budget the time you need. But even walking part of it is well worth it. We will be back to the park for sure in the future.

It is a nice bike trail, and walking trail. If you bring children please be aware that there are no public bathrooms here. It is a great 0lace to see the lake, and enjoy a nice walk, or bike ride, alone or with family.

The bike ride from downtown Burlington to the causeway and across using the little pontoon boat was amazing. We rode 30miles

One of the best bike rides I've ever done. The trail is beautiful and very well maintained. It was fairly busy when I was there, but the traffic moved quickly and there was plenty of air. The Bike Ferry was a very effective way to get across the gap in the Causeway. It was very easy to find parking along this path, and there were plenty of places to pull off.

Great bike path and enjoyable for all ages. Pet friendly - please leash animals as cyclist go by very quickly. One thing to note is the path doesn't go all the way to South Hero. It stops at a break about 3 miles into Lake Champlain where you need to take a ferry. Another thing to note is the parking lot is very small (only about 20-25 cars max) so many people parked along the road. The path is a gravel like material that would be very tough on roller blades. Hybrid or mountain bikes would likely be best although walking or jogging is always an option.

Hidden gem of Burlington as a tourist. There’s parking nearby where you can walk out on to the path into the middle of Lake Champlain. We drove around a bit then realized there’s no parking at the end (just a heads up with how private it gets out there).

We walked out right after a rain storm so we got to see a double rainbow on both sides of the lake. We were trying to watch the sunset but the clouds covered the mountains on the New York side blocking the view. Lots of locals out biking or walking their dog as it’s nothing but lake water calmly hitting the rocks .

If I lived here, I’d be out there running or biking more often than not as you can’t beat the view.

A beautiful place to visit. Definitely better for biking than walking. It was a busy place when we came through. Everyone seemed happy to be enjoying the sun!

Great stepping off spot for a ride or walk on the 2.5 mile Lake Champlain portion of the Island Line Trail. Take some water, pay attention to the weather and enjoy.

Definitely a highlight of Lake Champlain. I came here for a nice Saturday stroll in March. I will admit the constant breeze on the lake made it cold, but the views definitely made up for the discomfort. I would highly recommend a walk or bike ride down this causeway. It’s a unique experience to be walking along a path in the middle of the lake, while admiring some of the interesting objects that get washed up along the sides. Not to mention, as the sun begins to set and the clouds clear you get an awe inspiring view of Vermont and New York’s mountains overlooking the lake!

This trail was one of the highlights of my recent cycling trip around Champlain. It's stunning, with views of water and mountains on both sides. There are lots of birds and other wildlife. The trail is well maintained and the ferry ride on the island side is great fun. The staff welcomed me aboard and gave me great tourist info. If you are cycling near Burlington, don't miss this treasure of a trail.

If you're in VT you must go!!! So pretty 😍😍😍😍 the water is mirrored and breathtaking, wish we could have biked across but we had our dogs so we only went about a mile in and then turned around. Things to note, there are no bathrooms nearby so plan to go before you even get down to the lake area and be careful not to go down any private drives!

It's an incredibly scenic ride, depending upon the weather.

During peak periods you should have your attention on the path and the other riders, it can get congested.

Awesome hike/bike trail over Lake Champlain. From Airport Park in Colchester you can walk 4 miles to end/bike ferry. Beautiful views all around.

Path is well groomed, and hard-packed enough for our scooters (not just bikes). Went on an overcast day, so the breeze made this very comfortable. Plenty of shade in morning and late afternoon, but there would be no sun protection at mid day. Loved seeing the animal life in the marsh, and scrambling around on the rocks. Was there too early in the day for the ferry.

Awesome path for biking, running or hiking!

Ran from Burlington to here, 7 miles. Great path with packed dirt and gravel.

Beautiful views! Water on both sides! There’s a ferry in the middle connecting the north and south ends. Ferry doesn’t run in colder months.

Can be windy when weather is bad.

Great path from downtown Burlington.

Such a slice of heaven. Free parking, bathrooms, and picnic table for lunch before or after the ride across the causeway. It is absolutely beautiful to ride out into the lake.

You can walk or ride out the 4 miles, there is a bike shuttle for nominal charge if you want to go all the way across. Or go in the other direction and easily connect to the 12 miles of Burlington Bike trail.

Beautiful, amazing, and surreal. This was my first experience of Causeway Park and I thought it was absolutely phenomenal. I will absolutely be back, and I'll tell everyone I know to check it out
