My husband and I came here for a romantic getaway and it was AMAZING! Where do I even begin? The location was so beautiful and picturesque, and near lots of fun outdoor activities and charming towns! The room was pristine and luxurious! The staff was unbelievably welcoming, generous, warm, and accommodating! The food was absolutely scrumptious and delicious! In short, we've never felt more at home outside of our actual home! My husband and I definitely felt the love at Rabbit Hill Inn, and we will certainly be back to visit our new "home away from home" again and again! Thank you for a perfect trip!

We have been coming to Rabbit Hill since 1991 and the quality and comfort of this historic Inn never disappoints. All of the staff were warm and more than accomodating. The breakfast and dinner were exceptional. We first came for our honeymoon and this trip included my parents, our daughter and her husband and they are all planning their return as they were as enamored with it as we have been.

My wife and I recently enjoyed a six-day stay in the Nest Suite at the Rabbit Hill Inn. Absolutely everything about this place is superb. We were greeted so warmly (which was just what we needed) upon arriving from an arduous multi-hour drive through a snowstorm and the ensuing week was a pure delight. Their restaurant is excellent, both for breakfast and dinner (big thank you to Mackena, Dimitri, and Garrett on the waitstaff). The chef for the evening meals, Michelle, is very talented and everything we ate was delicious. “The Snooty Fox,” their little in-house bar, is charming and well stocked. The bartender, Hugo, is a really great guy and we very much enjoyed chatting with him while we sipped on some of his top notch cocktails (the bar food menu was also marvelous). The room itself was extremely comfortable and well-appointed. We were very well taken care of by Mel, the housekeeper. Kat and Sammy, who work on the management side, were so friendly and attentive. They made us feel very welcome and ensured that we were always comfortable. We really couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable winter vacation. If you are looking for a quiet and luxurious retreat in the gorgeous countryside of Vermont, do yourself a huge favor and stay at the Rabbit Hill Inn.

I'll start by saying they have new owners/management in the last few months, and while this was our first time there, they were absolutely stupendous and for any repeaters worried about the quality with the new owners, I'd have zero hesitation at booking here.

We stayed four nights in the Jonathan Cummins suite and it was amazing. The service from all the employees was by far the greatest part about this stay, as they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we could possibly want on the trip.

We were there during a good snow, so we all agreed to have a lot of the staff stay home, as it was just my wife and I for the night at the inn (others cancelled/postponed with the storm inbound). The staff that did remain saw to our every need when it came to dining, drinking, and entertainment for the night. They truly wanted to make sure you had the best time possible.

The food in the restaurant was great, I particularly loved the lamb. The chef has created a great menu that spans many different cuisines (vegetarian, beef, lamb, chicken, fish) while using different flavors from around the world for each.

We will 100% be coming back to the Rabbit Hill Inn, as it provided a nice sanctuary in a beautiful location, where we didn't have to worry about anything at all!

Special shout out to Kat and Sandi (sorry if I misspelled those) for making the trip extra great. Sandi was the one who stayed back during the storm and went above and beyond working all the positions to make our night great, and Kat was so pleasant and willing to make the experience extra special. She hasn’t been in the area long, but you can tell her excitement to not only run a fantastic in, but also to live and learn as much about the area as possible. Again, you could truly feel the care from everyone, but those two made it extra special for us.

Our 1st time at the RH Inn with another couple that have been staying there 35 years and it was fantastic!!!
The rooms are beautiful, charming, and spacious. The very personal staff made our stay super memorable. The managers and innkeepers were super focused on taking care of us. We felt like there was almost nothing they wouldn’t do to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Breakfasts and dinners were gourmet delights. They chef went out of the way with GF options for one of our party. I could go on and on but will let you find out for yourself!

First time at the Inn and it was wonderful. We’re big travelers so we know good things and this is one of them. Just what we needed! Everyone was wonderful and eager to help. Our room was amazing! Breakfast was great not sure how they make those pancakes but it was the best I’ve ever had. Hugo was very helpful when we checked in helping carry everything upstairs. He’s a great bartender and super friendly! Mackenna was our waitress and was amazing, service was great. We’ll definitely be back!

Very relaxing time! No TV, beautiful room, excellent service, superb food. Rabbit Hill Inn is a billboard for real Vermont hospitality! We stayed there on our honeymoon 43 years ago, this stay was just as memorable!!

Just recently celebrated an anniversary at the Rabbit Hill Inn and it was really lovely. The "Above the Tavern" room was very spacious and the bed was crazy comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was amazing. The pastries alone are worth the trip :) The hotel is in a quiet area but close enough to hiking and outdoor activities. Highly recommend for a special weekend away.

Beautiful old home! My wife and I stayed in the Jonathan Cummings Suite. It was quite large with a screened, private balcony. Bed was comfortable. Be aware though that this suite and some rooms are on the second and third floor. They do not have an elevator. However, they immediately had staff help us with luggage. While there we ate at their restaurant, 24 Carrot. Food was good, service was friendly and good. The next morning we had breakfast which was well worth it. Again service was great. Their small in-house bar, Snooty Fox was fun and comfortable. My wife and I worked on one of the house puzzles and enjoyed a few drinks. To be honest, their was a hiccup with our drinks which they immediately recognized and fixed. We had no complaints with their service or staff.
The downside to our stay had to do with other, entitled guests. The Staff were forced by other guests to ask me to relinquish the solitary handicapped parking spot so that they could park immediately in front of their room. This other couple went so far as to block my car and threatened to not move it until late the next morning. The staff at Rabbit Hill Inn did the best they could with a difficult situation, sending chocolate truffles to our room after the situation. To be fair, this had nothing to do with the inn other than an opportunity to shine. The young lady who came and spoke with me was quite literally in tears dealing with this.
We would love to visit again! I can highly recommend Rabbit Hill Inn!

Stayed at RHI for our 36 wedding anniversary. We thoroughly enjoyed the warmth of all the staff…our room was great and the food outstanding. The Executive Chef, Michelle, is so very talented. She took the time to speak with us about our meals and she is friendly and has a great sense of humor. Ben is super friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable…we will return to the Rabbit Hill Inn!

Beautiful Inn, superb service, dinner at the restaurant was excellent. We stayed in the Music room, with fireplace and very comfortable bed-also unique old victrola and piano. Breakfast was not your standard fare, but excellent and unique menu, well prepared. We loved our stay, it is in a very out of the way northern area of VT.

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending 3 nights at the Rabbit Hole Inn this July. The Inn itself was beautiful and the accommodations were excellent.
The unexpected bonus was our dining experience.
The Inn opened a new in-house restaurant called "24 Carrot". We met the executive chef Michelle. If you are a foodie you will be in heaven. She is a brilliant chef who isn't scared to take chances and make some awesome "funky" dishes. Each evening we had an appetizer, main course and dessert. Her dishes were creative, flavorful, and prepared to perfection with the freshest of ingredients. The details in the dishes really stood out. Michelle's use of volcanic salt from Hawaii on the butter as well as the lime pods used for taste and texture on the sea bass was pretty cool. Overall we were able to sample all the dishes and each meal was better than the last. Thank you for the memorable experience.
We can't wait to return to the Inn.

Sammy was a superstar representative. Just like she owned the place. She was on the premises late into the night and to my surprise the next morning! She is a Keeper! Room was comfortable and well maintained!

Spent a long weekend at Rabbit Hill Inn with my wife. The Inn exceeded our expectations with a beautiful room and a helpful and friendly staff. When not exploring the local
area, we spent time in our room enjoying several of the challenging Stave puzzles available for the guests. The highlight of the trip though was the fantastic meals prepared by chef Michelle Gomez at the 24 Carrot restaurant. Michelle is a talented and friendly young chef who served delicious and beautifully plated food. The entrees we had were the rack of lamb, halibut, filet of beef, and Caprese Ravioli. All were cooked to perfection. The deserts were also fantastic. We highly recommend this restaurant and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Rabbit Hill Inn in Lower Waterford, VT was built in 1795. This is a very historic inn, has comfortable rooms, lots of charm & great food! We had the opportunity to meet one of the owners, Ben. He was very hospitable and engaged in the inn. Kate was one of the Inn Assistants and she was sweet. We also met the head chef, Michelle. She and her staff make delicious dishes. We enjoyed the breakfasts & very tasty pastries!! They have dinner at 24 Carrot on-site, but we did not partake of that. One of the common areas has a bar. Sit in the Parlor to put together a puzzle, enjoy morning coffee/ tea, afternoon snacks or look through a photo book to live the history. It was nice to visit with the other guests in these common areas. We highly recommend staying at The Rabbit Hill Inn if you’re in Lower Waterford, VT. Accessible to Littleton, NH for a quaint downtown feel, and beautiful hiking in Franconia Notch.

My husband and I just spent an incredible long weekend away here. The amenities, the delicious food, and above all the top notch service. All of the above contributed to a truly wonderful romantic weekend away. The Inn has the most delicious breakfast and dinners. Every plate of each meal is thoughtfully prepared with extra details in mind. The presentation, the friendly staff, the rooms so thoughtfully include everything you need. We stayed in the Jonathan Cummings Luxury suite and it was so large! We felt like we had total privacy in our room, but enjoyed chatting with other guests in the shared spaces. Most importantly, we played lots of games which was such a nice break from binging TV shows as we usually do. I really can’t say enough positive things about RHI. We can’t wait to book again! Thank you to all of the staff for a memorable long weekend getaway, we will never forget how special this place is!

We had a truly relaxing and rejuvenating visit during our first stay at Rabbit Hill Inn! The staff and hosts were so gracious and welcoming, we wanted for nothing during our stay. The food was outstanding and waitstaff was so very attentive. Our room was so comfortable and had anything we might need. We loved watching the hummingbirds zooming into their feeder from the front porch, and we loved doing the puzzles as we enjoyed a drink before dinner each night in the pub. Our stay really exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back, and the sooner the better!
