The Mixx - Hawthorne Plaza

It's been a while since I've had a chance to eat at The Mixx. I ordered my favorites - a salmon BLT and a Garden of Eden salad. Both were delicious! My only complaint is that the signs say "Order sandwiches here" but no one is there. I finally walked across the restaurant to where orders are picked up and was able to order there. A sign directing one there would have been helpful, or perhaps one of the two people standing there could have beckoned us over. Other than that, it was a very satisfying experience.

The Thai salad with salmon is good but with sirarcha on top is better. The spicy balances out the sweet chili sauce that tops the salmon.

The bread is good, but dry! For example, 4 pats of butter to swallow is needed.

Lunch with my 9 year old son. He tried a Hawaiin Poke bowl and loved it. He said the flavors blended together deliciously. My Cobb salad was great, not as exciting as his food though.

We love The Mixx. High-quality, relatively healthy food with all sorts of options for everyone. Lots of varieties of salads and nice portion sizes. Sandwiches are good too. But most of all we love that there continues to be healthy choices for kids. They changed at one point away from healthy sides to just fries, but after some encouragement brought back things like green beans or cucumbers as a side. Appreciate the responsive nature!

Tastiest salad. Chairs are butt cold but that’s fine 😁. Arrived at 1-2PM on Saturday and restaurant starts running out of ingredient. Should have come earlier.

There was a man named Austin there and he was amazing. He mentioned that he was in a good mood because it was his Friday night and he put me in a good mood. The food tasted so much better being in a good mood because of Austin. I loved the experience here. Austin was amazing. Thank you Austin. Hope you have a party tonight I would want to be invited! First time going here. I was looking for someplace where i could find an alkaline electric vegan dish to be able to eat when I'm out and about without having to say remove this this and this. The Mixx that my daughter found for me was the correct choice. I got the create your own quinoa bowl and it was great and the zinger for my drink. Will go again.

Loved my salad and the option for gluten free bread and cookies!

First time going here. Oh my goodness i really like this place. Great food, awesome customer service, social distance and cleanliness is good.

Good food. Wish they would list the prices on the menu. There are no prices anywhere. You have to ask 🤨

2nd time coming to give it a try, first time came earlier for brunch and it was extremely busy. Took very long for food to come out. Saturday around 5:00 pm is less busy and the food is delicious

As a person with multiple food allergies, The Mixx is a great option. Their menu allows for a build-your-own bowl, which I selected. I enjoyed a quinoa bowl with vegetables, protein, and dressing that worked for what I needed. The server was friendly and made sure my laundry list of allergies was noted down for the cooks. The portion sizes are generous (photo does not show the broccoli hiding underneath the quinoa), and the price is reasonable. Will definitely return next time I’m in the area.

I went into the Mixx today, picked up my mobile order, got back to work and noticed that my meal was wrong. I ordered steak tacos and was given a gyro. I called the manager and he immediately fixed it, AND hand delivered it TO MY OFFICE with a free cookie. After having so many fast food issues in my lifetime, this is the CORRECT and BEST way to handle it. So grateful! This manager deserves a raise!

We ordered catering for a business lunch at my company. I am the one that always orders. I need to get a 10 star rating (if possible) for the excellent customer service that The Mixx provided on that day. I was puzzled when the order came late. It was no big issue since many had finished part of the meeting and were talking. I found out later, that they had had to return to the restaurant to correct the order. We had a vegan and she could not do dairy or meat at all. Some one there filled the order for the two salads incorrectly and had put it on the salads. They were on-route when they learned the mistake. I don't care that they were late. They found out their mistake and corrected it. THAT is great customer service even thought they risked that some people would complain about it. We will continue to order catering from them as the food is good and prices reasonable. Thanks again to the staff at The Mixx, Leawood. BTW. the vegan loved the food and she is from California!

I've yet to eat anything there I didn't love! The soups, salads, quinoa bowls all outstanding. Great staff and cooks, made the experience 5 out of 5!

Enjoyed the Tortilla Chicken Soup with my son. He got a Santa Fe Salad, and my Grandson had the Ham and cheese with Macaroni Salad.
