El Maguey Mexican Restaurant

It was Friday night before Christmas...place was packed. A short wait of about 5 minutes. Our waiter was prompt and took care of us efficiently. Once we ordered, food came out super quick and perfectly cooked, hot and fresh. I had the California burrito. If you know, then you know... It hit the spot. I definitely recommend.

Best Mexican food we've had driving across the country. From Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, all the way to Florida, these guys in Missouri made the best food, fantastic salsa, and their steak tips fajitas and enchiladas are bomb.

For showing up 45 minutes before their closing time, the staff was exceptionally attentive to my table's individual needs and our waiter not only had a great service personality but kept our salsa and chip bowls filled byt never overflowing. The food and speed between ordering and receiving our entrees was on par to match the exceptional service we received. Considering we were just out of my aunt's visitation- we were also honoring my aunt's memory by eating dinner after hrr visitation of her Favorite hometown Mexican Restaurant.

Finally I wan to send out my mom and my entire extended family's gratitude and admiration to Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church of Harrisonville and the rock of the parish Father Dan for their humble yet more than abundant outpouring of love, Shared Faith in the Holy Trinity and the compassion and uplifting of my uncle and my mother both- showing all who attended the Visitation's Rosary to the abundance of food, love, support of our Sisters and Brethren-all true testaments of faith and service to Our Heavenly Father's mission to comfort those in time of greatest need. Therein lies the strength I witnessed through the parishioners and friend of my family hopefully for many many more generations-Father Dan.

I have been to other locations and they are ok, but this location has the best food. The menu is larger and both of our meals came out perfect and definitely worth the money. The portions were large, the margaritas are good and the service was as well!

My son and I came here for dinner, our server was wonderful, very intentional with her kindness and smiles all around. My dessert was brought out by another lady and the inside was still frozen and had chocolate, once Jennifer came back with a new order there was honey and strawberry on the side. Much more appealing to the food critics eyes and far tastier warm and sweet with strawberries. Make sure to ask for Jennifer with the smiles.

Food was fantastic and service was great. Did not have to wait long. Was clean and had a great atmosphere.

I've never been a bug fan of Mexican restaurants but I love Mexican food. Let me tell you THIS brings me back to my childhood. It is the most amazing Mexican food I've had in a long time. I waited a few times to make sure the food was consistent and it is. Anybody who want Mexican food near here, this is what I recommend. Out of all the dozens of plates ordered only one was a little dry and they were more than happy to fix it. The staff is kind and the vibe is just immaculate. Even the to go food is delicious.

We stopped in for lunch today. We received our meal in less than 5 minutes & the food was absolutely delicious! Service & pricing were both great as well. This will definitely become a regular option for us.

The special dinner is awesome. You get a Tamale, enchilada, tostada, taco, chili renello, rice and beans. Enough food for several leftover meals.

Very good food. Excellent service. I went with a friend and we had a very nice leisurely lunch- no pressure to hurry, just attentive service.

Service was spot on. Food was hot, hot, and fresh……yes, that plate was hot 😳😳. I enjoyed my meal and the space.

Everything has been remodeled except for the floor. Very bright and updated look. A small bar in the back even has 2 tv's. Service was ok. I went after the lunch rush and it took a while to get my drink but after that everything was right. Chips were great. Chicken quesadilla was very crispy and delicious. Hopefully this place will stay open for a while unlike the several previous occupants.

Walked in when they opened. Within 20 minutes, there was a large crowd. And this was on a Monday! Great food, great staff, music that makes you want to dance! And lunch specials with LARGE portions. You won't leave hungry! Try all their locations!

The jalepeno margarita was excellent. They understood the assignment. It had the perfect pairing of jalepeno spice and lime. I ordered the street tacos and the carne asada was well seasoned and tender. We were seated right away and chips and salsa were promptly at our table. The server was very courteous and attentive. Next time we are in town we will definitely visit.

Great food great service and fast. I highly recommend it for lunch or dinner.

The food was so amazing . I can't put it into words, but I will say, bacon!! The service was fantastic. Everything was clean and as it should be.

Walked in to the the place at about 9:15 (they closed at 10) and i said i was taking it to go and he practically asked me to stay. To sit down, enjoy the food and environment. Which was actually very pleasant. While waiting for my order, i was honestly in awe with how clean the place is compared to many of the other restaurants you could go to in Harrisonville. My only super tiny gripe was the food was a tad salty, but the guacamole made up for it 10 fold. I kid you not. The ABSOLUTE BEST guac I'd ever had the pleasure of consuming.

Love this place.. eat here every Saturday for lunch.. love the staff
