Murry's

Found this on google and was exactly what we were looking for. Live music, kitchen open late, affordable options and great food. We had sm. cheese garlic bread, and house salad, delicious and good enough to share for 2. I had the filet kabob with the cheese sauce ( oh my gosh soooo good) with a side of garlic noodle pasta ( prob would try the mashed potatoes next time ) & daughter got lemon pesto chicken. Dirty martini with Tito’s was only $9! Service was fast and friendly. Absolutely love this place.

One of the best local spots in COMO. You have to get the onion rings. I got the salmon and onion rings and it was all a slam dunk. Dark ambiance, live piano, and excellent service and food that has been perfected over decades makes for a perfect date night.

Definitely in the high “4’s”! Like somewhere around 9-9.5. We did hit the lunch rush and were done within an hour.. the atmosphere and workers have an amazing attitude! Honestly I didn’t find anything wrong with my food. Goo temp, amazingly cooked to perfection! Seafood is one of the hardest things to cook and my shrimp and clams were done to perfection! Not rubbery, they were most, tender, and just amazingly perfect. My wife had the stake was cooked perfectly, with good flavor.. we will definitely be back!!

Talk about a hidden gem restaurant in Columbia we found it. Ambiance was fabulous with low lighting and jazz music playing. They have live music, but I'm not sure if when, I assume you can check out their website for more information. Their menu is really reasonable on everything. We started with Fried Chicken Liver and a Bailey on the Rocks. They didn't have hot chocolate 😒 otherwise for the chilly day hot chocolate, and Baileys is my go-to drink. For our lunch, we both had the Pork Tenderloin sandwich breaded. You can get it grilled, too. All the food was hot along with delicious. We chose the side of garlic mashed potatoes to Spilt, and they are homemade. It was a delightful change thanks to the waiter along with the staff. Again, the ambiance and music made it a fabulous lunch today. Big Shout Out to Murrys, keep up your fantastic restaurant as it's the best in Columbia to me!

Visited this place with a colleague while visiting for work. This place was highly recommended by a few people and it definitely did not disappoint. We visited during the lunch time and they were super busy. We were lucky and got to seat on the bar.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is great. And the smell is amazing. As soon as you walk in, you can smell the food. Makes you even more hungry.

The bartender who was serving us was very friendly and great. The fried eggplant was one of the best I’ve had. Overall, everything we ordered was great.

This place is always busy and they don't take reservations. The powdered peppers, the french dip, the whole dessert menu. All 💯 .The vibes in here are a bit dark and feel smokey even though obviously there is no smoking indoors. It sets the perfect tone for relaxed or even vulnerable conversations. I have loved this place all my life and usually celebrate occasions of any excuse here.

Wonderful restaurant with a live piano player who plays jazz and blues.

The food was very well done. The items are planned to bring out the best flavor. Of particular note was the tuna sandwich that comes with pesto and feta. I told the waiter I was interested in this item, but did not want to have it in the bun that it came on. He immediately offered the item with out the bun.

Best wings in town!

A friend of mine and I have been on a wing tour around town. Trying all the popular restaurants with Buffalo wings. There’s some stiff competition out there, but Murry’s has taken the top spot on my list so far! The price vs. the crisp/taste of the wing doesn’t seem beatable.

Outside of the wings, Murry’s has delicious food. It’s a Columbia staple that everyone needs to try!

I am between 4 and 5, willing to round up to 5. They have quick, attentive service. The food was pretty good; tried the calamari appetizer and salmon entrée. Side dishes are extra, however (ordered corn & bean salsa). Liked the jazz piano live performance, overall fairly pleasant. Entree plates are a bit on small side, though.

We were staying in Columbia on business and wanted to try something new. The restaurant is very popular but the wait was quick and the food was fantastic! The low light inside mixed with the live jazz music made for a great atmosphere. Service was good and the prices are more than fair. It made for an excellent evening out.

Great experience here! The calamari was very good as an appetizer. The Greek salads were delicious!! I had the pork chop which was a thick cut and tasty. My son had the salmon which he enjoyed very much. Our sides of mashed potatoes and broccoli were great too. Nice servers and atmosphere in the restaurant. You could tell it was a local favorite as it was busy for a Tuesday night.

First time there, after a decade of wanting to go...(don't reside in CoMo)...I loved the place from the moment we walked in. So wonderful to hear a real human playing real jazz on a real piano. Sure, it made Murrys a touch loud, but INFINITELY better than the loud sports TV noise that makes you sorry you left the house. The menu is old school 'high end' -- not trend-driven -- which makes this kind of place that should have a permanent spot in your CoMo rotation. Ironically, I ordered one of the few items on their menu that they currently DON'T know how to make -- pesto pasta, which they make like everyone else in Missouri, with a bunch of unnecessary cream that weighs the dish down to an Olive-Gardenesque level. But that's my mistake. I can't wait to get there again and make a smarter selection... I'm confident at that point I'll give them the 5th star for food. Until then, I'll call Murrys 4.4 STARS with serious 4.8ish potential.

We go to Mary’s every Tuesday night for dinner. We love getting waited on by Matt Galyon, as well as Jason Murphy. There are some of our favorite bartender/servers here in Columbia. Food is amazing especially the frog legs.

My third time here and there's absolutely nothing that disappointed me. The food was great, people better and atmosphere even better. The live music in the background was just awesome. Had chicken poblano and fettuccine. Both was good.

If you're in the area definitely a place to check out.

Seriously, all the food I have tried is amazing. There is a reason why this place ALWAYS has a wait... It's worth it. Make time, you will not regret it.

My only complaint is that the menu needs descriptions.

This is by far one of the best overall experiences I have had at a restaurant, every last thing I had was delicious, the server was amazingly attentive and our water was always filled, didn’t even have to think of asking. Our server also explained everything super well had several suggestions as well. Will return here for years to come!

I have never had a bad experience at Murry’s in the 20+ years I have eaten there. Excellent and courteous service, great food, and great pricing. The restaurant is under a new management for the last year or two and it resulted in some minor changes and price adjustments, otherwise, still an amazing great value and hospitable place to visit. I highly recommend Murry’s and would say that it is easily in the top 10 restaurants in Columbia.

My daughter had wanted to take us here for some time and we finally got the opportunity to go check one of her favorite restaurants out. I loved hearing the jazz in the background. The food was awesome. We started with the onion ring and the bell pepper appetizer. The fried peppers were great. I had never tasted that combination before with powdered sugar but it works. I fully enjoyed it and recommend. I ordered the pastrami sandwich and thought I would add mustard but with taking one bite this sandwich didn't need anything extra. She ordered the fettuccini. One warning is parking can get a little tight and it is popular so get there early or plan to wait a bit. We will definitely go again.
