Had dinner with a colleague while visiting for work. We were recommended to eat in 44 Stone by a few people. And it did not disappoint. The place was packed and busy during dinner time. We were lucky and got to seat on the bar. The bartender who served us was very friendly.

Dishes were amazing and everything tasted great. The salmon was cooked perfectly. Overall, it was a great experience.

This was our second time here. Enjoyed the meal and the service was friendly and prompt. The steak was excelent and flavorful. The chicken and leek pastie was good, but the chicken was a little dry.

Amazing food, friendly and helpful servers, great value for your money. At lots of restaurants the "fancy" thing about them is that they're expensive. Not here! Every bite was a unique and pleasant experience, and it was very reasonably priced. I can't wait to come back.

Delicious food and drinks. Unique and well put together flavors. Fish and Chips was great! Appetizers were all great. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Private room for large groups. Staff was hospitable and professional.

What a pleasant surprise, my wife and I had been looking for a good burger place in this town for a long while, and the only regret I made was getting the Seoul Disco Fries with the 44burger, because they were both massively delicious. Also dug the bread pudding, our waitress was very kind, the only complaint I really had was the seats we got, we would have preferred an actual table or booth, but the food was good enough to not make something as petty as that a knock off the grade. Hope to come back here again in the future.

I was surprised how good the food was. I went at lunchtime with my wife, daughter and her friend. My wife got the lamb burger and really enjoyed it. I got their take on the Reuben sandwich and it was very good. I thought it would be another slightly overpriced restaurant with fancy names but just average food and I was wrong. I will definitely go again.

Was passing through the neighborhood on the way to St. Louis from Kansas City when we wanted to try something local on the way home to experience something different, this place caught our eye online so we stopped in, and it lived up to the good reviews we saw!!
To start we had the Welsh rarebit, I have heard of the dish but never experienced it, and this restaurants version of it was phenomenal, definitely unhealthy but absolutely delicious. My companion and I both got the lamb burger, which was pretty good although not as phenomenal as the appetizer. I also really enjoyed my salad, some house salads can be pretty boring and mediocre but this one was very good, especially the house dressing. I also enjoyed their selection of cocktails and got the Negroni which is pictured and then a rosemary spritz, also delightful. We were so full that we were disappointed that we had to turn away the dessert menu, although we would probably want to try that next time! A great place to stop if you’re driving through Columbia, MO!

Nice atmosphere and great staff. They were very friendly and quick. The food came out fresh and tasted amazing. The deviled eggs were a different spin on the classic but savory. Higher pricing, but we'll worth it.

We got the veggie curry (with chicken), the Tikka masala soup, the children's chicken tenders with fries, the Seoul disco fries, and the fish and chips (with fries)...

Pros: the food was great... All of it. There wasn't anything that wasn't good tasting. The portions were good and worth the cost.

The service was great, she was attentive, welcoming, knowledgeable and nice.

The seating was great... I am sure we got a larger table than one would normally (we have a toddler so we requested the booth in the back).

Cons: Expensive.... If you aren't careful you can spend quite a lot. If it were busier the seating might not have been possible.

Such a great place to get some good food! I had the Lamb burger with a fried egg and sautéed arugula and tried a new blonde ale from Belgium! The atmosphere was great, food was amazing, and service was top-notch! The little European decor throughout the place is super neat too. Btw try the Pudding dessert with ice cream- Sooo good! Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back👌🏽

One of the best meals I've had in a while! The vibes are very chill, it's a gorgeous clean building with interesting architecture. We had the deviled eggs, whisky salmon, and shrimp of the day with polenta. Also the seabreaze cocktail and cucumber ginger martini. Everything is reasonably priced for the quality you get. I cannot recommend this place enough!

44 Stone has been our go to for years. Since COVID, getting a reliable meal curbside has been a toss up but 44 has remained consistently great every time. Their fish & chips, 44 Stone burger, and any special feature are phenomenal. Plus all of their appetizers are perfect sharing plates for a family and they make the best sauces in town. We'll keep coming back again and again and cannot wait to join them on the patio or at the high tops very soon!

A hidden gem for certain. Great food and a large selection of beer and spirits. Friendly servers that offered advice on the menu options. I recommend giving it a try. Our group of 8 loved it before the basketball game!

This place has the closest you will get to British Food around here. Their burger and fries were very filling. My friend enjoyed her meal with fries and a nice mixed drink. Saw many patrons enjoying their meals while there. Gets busy during peak times and has nice outside dining as well.

This was our first time here. Got the Fish & Chips and the Reuben (no sauerkraut, just cabbage). Food was very good and we got enough for 2+ meals. Our waitress was outstanding! I'm looking forward to going back!

I loved this place! The burgers were sweet from the wood fired grill they are cooked over. At least I am assuming that was the case. The burger was cooked to order, and done right. Not like so many places who can't seem to figure out when meat is R/MR/M/MW/WD, not to mention black and blue. I found the sauces, like the homemade ketchup, strange, but to each their own. I'll take Heinz, and Hellman's. I added a fried egg, (a favorite of mine since I was a child and had them on burgers are the Carlton in Cannes), with home cured bacon, which was killer! A thick slice of cheese to top it all off, on a pretzel roll. I wasn't sure about that when I ordered, but it turned out to be very nice.
The fries were decent, but not great. The dessert I had was killer. Some kind of shortcake with ice cream. Not too sweet at all, with the right amount of vanilla to give it a very nice flavor, as the ice cream melted with the just fried dough!, The beer was very nice. Brooklyn Brewery lager on tap.

This is a place where handmade hamburgers and fish and chips are delicious. It is more interesting because I can taste about 50 beers. Whenever I come here, I want to taste a different beer.

OK it has been a hot minute since we have been “Wowed!” at a restaurant. Let’s start with the decor. Fun little alcoves and curves all over the place. The lighting, perfect, with faint music in the background to fill the quiet spots but not over take the conversation. Large drink menus on the walls with local favs. The menu, creative and fresh. Now the deviled eggs... a ballsy move, because who does deviled eggs? Oh 44 Stone does when you can’t kill it! They took two gentle flavors and made them pop, eggs and salmon. Next time we go, we’re getting that again. Now let’s move onto the steaks. If I were to give them any encouragement or improvement, it would be to step away from the sirloin and get a ribeye or no, I think the KC strip would be the better move. Go ahead and charge more money, you’re worth it. Because they perfectly grilled, flavored and presented an amazing steak. I would recommend substitute in the vegetables over the potatoes. Just because of the visual presentation is much better and the flavors are more diverse. But if you need your meat and potato fix, go with the standard. We rarely stay for dessert, but this meal was so amazing at this point, we’re like “Hell yes! Give us a dessert, what you got?” They did not disappoint! Fried butter cake with caramel sauce and ice cream was a textual, flavorful, sensational dance in your mouth. This meal was actually fun! Now they have these red hoody bus girls to clear the tables, it was a fun casual way of taking care of business while coming off professonial and fun. We are coming back!!!
