Golden Toad Tattoo

We were greeted no sooner than when we walked in. All the artists were really cool and friendly and actually cared about the work they were doing. By far the best ink I’ve ever gotten. Only place I’ll go from now on! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Ian has done impeccable work on every tattoo he has done on myself and others. I myself have fairly larger tattoos ranging from 5-10 hours each tattoo. The first pic is a cover up he did 2 years ago. His line work, cleanliness, and professionalism is all well rounded and appreciated. I have been welcomed, comfortable, and pleased with the work that comes out of The Golden Toad Tattoo and definitely plan on getting more!🥇🐸 😁

Ian is such a stand up guy and after he did two cover ups for me I really trust him. He's really fair with his pricing. His apprentice is also a really sweet girl and I enjoy talking to her and everyone in the shop when I go in. The thing I really respect about Ian is that he did whatever he could to fit me in so I could have my cover ups for my teaching job this fall and he's always got cool ideas for what we can do next on tattoos I'm wanting to change. I would definitely go back to Ian.

Ian is always super professional and always does great work. Would 100% recommend anyone to check this shop out and his work! This shop is easily one of the cleanest in STL, and does some of the cleanest work!

I called on a wim to see if they take walk ins. Hannah was super nice told me to come up. She did an amazing job on my tattoo I absolutely love it. She was super down to earth and professional. Definitely going back!

Josh is a very talented artist. I've gotten two half-sleeves done by him now and they're both awesome - and by awesome I mean I receive at least one compliment every single day on the quality of his work. He's very versatile in style and willing to incorporate the customers' ideas with his own creative input. He also has the gift of making you feel relaxed and calm in an situation that may not be the most comfortable for everybody. Highly recommend.

Not only is Ian an amazing artist he is professional, and at the same time makes you feel comfortable. When he did my throat I was allergic to the white ink something we could've never known and he fixed it not once but 2 times so that it was perfect he actually had messaged me asking to see it and insisted and I love it so much. The golden toad has all the best artists in there and I can't wait to go back!

A friend recommended Ian(I liked a tattoo Ian had done on them) to me and I couldn't be happier with the results! He's done the majority of my tattoos now at this point, in fact!! He's always listened to my ideas and how I want them incorporated into my sleeve 😊 highly recommend!!

Ian has done all of my boyfriend and I tattoos and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The quality of the work is beautiful. He did an angel on my arm and I get questions and comments all day long. I wouldn’t refer anyone to any shop other than the golden toad specifically for Ian!

Buckle up, this is going to be a long one. Months ago, I was looking for someone to tattoo this awesome baby Ariel. I found Golden Toad and they have great reviews. I had a really bad experience and never ended up getting that tattoo. Ian Haines was the only nice one out of the whole situation. Fast forward to September and Ian reaches out to me, apologizing for the whole thing (even though it clearly was not his fault) and we set up a time to finally get my baby Ariel. although he left his painless needles at home, he does beautiful work. I have three new beautiful pieces of art (post will be updated with pictures later) and I will definitely be returning. Ian and the other tattoo artist couldn't have been any kinder. I’m 17 years old and I got my first tattoo for my birthday here. When I tell you this place is so professional it’s mother f*ckin professional. Ian was my tattoo artist, and he did an amazing job on my tattoo, it’s beautifully shaded and I’m in love with it. I hope to go back for my second one soon 🤞

Excellent place! Not only great artists, but ya get stand up comedy too... Bobby Black did tattoo, it turned out freaking great!! I saw the other guys working and the all did amazing art.
