Kennon Young at the Vermont Gem Lab was fantastic. He provided me with an accurate, honest, and informative appraisal of an engagement ring for insurance purposes, and did so within an hour while explaining the details of the ring to me. He was friendly, and even provided some helpful tips about living in VT since I only recently moved. I would recommend the Vermont Gem Lab to anyone who needs anything jewelery related in VT.

First of all, dealing with the gemologist that actually does the work, on-site, is one thing but for him to be the owner is a huge bonus! We were immediately blown away by not only Ken and his knowledge but the equipment he had on site and his ability to design exactly what we needed in such a short time! By far the best experience ever! Even repaired my wife’s wedding ring while we waited. There is no other gemologist/jeweler/appraiser to seek out in Vermont!

The ring of my dreams was over 30k so we asked Ken to make a copycat of that unique ring. Zero regrets and it looks even more beautiful than the original ring. Ken is a professional and really knows what he's doing. He will go out of his way to make sure it looks better than what you anticipated.

I contacted The Vermont Gem Lab as a returning customer to ask if it was possible to resize my wedding band and I received a call back from Ken the same day to schedule an appointment with me. During my appointment he was supportive and informative about what I could do with my ring, at a reasonable cost. Resizing took just a couple of minutes to get it right, and then he cleaned up the edges to customize its fit for greater comfort on my finger. I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied with his work in such a timely fashion. Just as I was a couple years ago when he fixed my wife’s engagement ring right there on the spot. Just got back from receiving the custom ring that I had an absolutely wonderful time designing with Ken over the last few months. It turned out more beautiful than I anticipated, I can't wait to put it on my Fiancee's finger tonight. My wife and I have had several pieces of jewelry made Vermont Gem Labs and it has been an excellent experience. The craftsmanship is amazing and the service is top notch. We remade a necklace recently and when it was finished, we realized the stones would look better in a different arrangement. To our surprise, Kennon made the changes without charging extra and the piece is magnificent. On another occasion, we brought an old watch in thinking the best we could do was have it melted down for the gold. Kennon put us in contact with an expert who thinks they can get considerably more value from selling it to collectors.
