We just went for the Christmas lights and to explore the village. It’s such a wonderful and beautiful place to shop. They did such a good job on the lights and decorations. our kids loved it. They have a cool train ride in carousel, which is only three dollars to ride. They have plenty of wonderful places to eat. Definitely recommend Costellos.

Went on a Friday night in December and had a blast. Lots of shops, restaurants, and Christmas lights/decorations everywhere. There is a little train ride and a carousel for the younger kids ($3 per person). It's not far off the Parkway and easy to get to. The restaurants tend to get busy, but otherwise, there was hardly any wait. Definitely recommend getting some hot chocolate and strolling around town for some beautiful pictures and memories.

A beautiful scenic town that includes multiple shops. It is next to a River that also has a paddle boat that you row with your legs. There are delicious home made foods in this town. There is also a public rest room that is clean. Great place to take photos as well.

Something for everyone, from kids to adults this is always a very enjoyable place to come walk, get a bite and shop. I really enjoy walking around in the evening when the entire village is all lit up, very romantic. Smithville is decided up into two sections since there are two separate owners. The front side caters more towards shops and restaurants. Across the bridge you will find yes more shops. There are fun activities such as paddle boats, train ride and a carousel. Years back they also had rc boats and rc cars. I miss those. The back portion also had a bed and breakfast divided into multiple buildings.
You can get a decent haircut (which I have many times), pickles and specialty peanut butter not to mention fun toys and treats for kids and dogs.
The decorations are always on point here, many festivals throughout the year can be enjoyed here. I really enjoy the wide variety of coffee beans you can buy. And the small arcade is cute and affordable. Everyone I meet when walking around are always in a good mood and happy to have a conversation. It’s a safe touristy place that’s clean and well taken care of.

The Christmas light show on the lake and lighted buildings and decorations were nice. We took the train ride and were disappointed that more than 50% of the floodlights were off that would have lit up all the characters that were left in the dark. Many cars parked along the street, but I pulled in the lot behind other cars that said full but quickly found an open spot.

Came on Witches Day Out '23. Amazing what 80° weather will do. Place was packed, lots of costumes and fun! I'm sure the shop owners were loving it! There's always special events going on, check their calendar on their website.

Always love Smithville around the holidays, the light show on the lake, the Christmas music and all the decorations make it a great place to visit! Most of the shops have specials or sales. Love the hot apple cider at Scoops while sitting out on the dock watching the dancing lights.

You have to love Smithville if you've never been there it's someplace you have to go we actually picked the day when they were having a different type of Festival than normal so there was an extreme amount of people and vendors and Tents and all kinds of things for sale it was a wonderful day at Smithville is a great place parking is a premium at best but it definitely worth the time it takes to find a spot I recommend checking it out the vendors are all very pleasant and the restaurants are reasonable and it excellent food I've been there many times

October in Smithville is a must see! They decorate the entire village, which adds to the experience. They have so many events going on every weekend in October, you have to visit their website so you dont miss out. Bring the whole family.

This village is a must stop while you are in NJ. A short ride from Atlantic City, you can spend your whole afternoon or morning here. Lots of shops and places to get a bite to eat will keep your whole family happy. Today, we mapped out the day to celebrate the local Fourth of July parade. We surprising had the breakfast diner all to ourselves. Bring a chair, a blanket and lots of water to sit with fellow parade goers. Bathrooms are close and plenty of parking. A short drive away you will find two gas stations with the lowest prices around along with other places to eat and shop.

Fantastic spot to spend the day, especially a sunny fall day with temperatures in the upper 60's.

Visited the Towne of Historic Smithville & The Village Greene, divided by Lake Meone, on Sunday with family. So much fun to walk through both areas of the village and explore the shops. The merchants are all so welcoming and friendly, providing history of the area and the shops, new and old. So much space, we never felt crowded.

There are a few places to eat near the lake while sitting outside, in addition to a couple restaurants in the area. The village is also dog friendly, with a few animal shops for treats and other goodies.

We all had a wonderful time, and look forward to returning very soon.

I will always love Historic Smithville! The Stores are quaint and have everything from crafts, coffee, and candy. There is a homemade soap store that has amazing soaps. You can always find the perfect gift. The lake in the middle of Smithville is beautiful. The restaurants have good food. On the weekends there is a train that goes around the property and a horse carousel for the children. At Christmas they light up the lake and have a Christmas music light show. Great family outing.
