The Copper Grouse

The Copper Grouse is one of the nicest restaurants in Manchester. The restaurant is located within the Kimpton Taconic and is absolutely beautiful inside. We've had breakfast and dinner here many times, and like how the menu is unique to Vermont cuisine. They do a fantastic job at changing it around frequently as well. The food has always been outstanding, the dozen or so times that we have eaten here. Needless to say, we'd highly recommend the Copper Grouse!

Amazing food! My family and I came for my father’s birthday this morning for brunch. I got the eggs Benedict and it was incredible. My father got the duck confit breakfast and said it was the best breakfast he’d ever had. Fingerling potatoes were out of this world. The server was so nice and checked in appropriately. I’ll definitely be coming back in the future!

Food was absolutely amazing. Had shareable's off the Chef Special menu and they were amazing!!! Maple Pork Chop was fantastic and the flavor and garnish were perfect. Service matched well with the food!!!

Nice atmosphere. Best salmon I ever had and the beet purée was perfectly matched with the fennel. Bravo to the chef.

We had a fantastic breakfast here. They stop serving breakfast at 1030, so good for brunch too.

We were just visiting Manchester and not hotel guests. Recommend booking at busier periods.

We stayed overnight in this beautiful fall New England setting at the nearby Barrows House Inn, which has the same ownership. We had dinner and breakfast at the Dorsett Inn and restaurant. The grilled pork with a hint of mint was delicious. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. I asked for the most popular cabernet and she recommended the Charles Krug, which was superb! We enjoyed the service as much as the gorgeous fall colors!

We had our Christmas lunch here. Love the Chilean sea bass, perfectly prepared. Best dish I will say in my trip of Manchester. Beautiful setting, elegant hotel!

Great service and ambience. Came here for lunch (day after a wedding so were quite hungry) and had a great time. We split the squash bisque and maple wings and each had a kale and caesar salad, followed by the wagu burger with truffle fries. Highly recommended!

The food was mostly delicious. The butternut squash soup was rich with multi-layered flavors of autumn, we had to order another. The duck, the beet salad were all appetizing, as well. Unfortunately, the coq au vin chicken was so dry, even the flavorful rustic sauce couldn’t save it. The atmosphere was also warm and inviting. Now the food deserves its stars, but the atmosphere could have gotten full marks but I didn’t because I wanted to emphasize the service. Our server has mastered her social skills that patrons will appreciate. So she gets the only 5 stars in this review!

This was quite the unique experience. There is an outdoor firepit to sit and relax by. Inside the bar area was small but cozy. We were in the dining area a bit too close to other tables. But the salmon and swordfish entrees were delicious. Fresh and robust flavors. The cheesecake was light and melted in your mouth. Great dining experience.

Popped in for a drink and an app on a Monday evening. Super cute, warm and cozy spot. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was so friendly…and the drinks were great. We got the cauliflower app and it was AMAZING! Definitely want to try dinner sometime.

This restaurant was fantastic. Had the Brussels sprouts appetizer, coq au vin, and beef bourgenion which was a special. Portions are great and our server Liz was very attentive. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very chic and a tad rustic. Definitely recommend!

Lovely experience! Very friendly and professional staff. After being disappointed with another local restaurant, I decided to try the Copper Grouse and I was pleasantly surprised! The cocktails were delicious and a fair portion for the price. The meals were both visually beautiful and very tasty! The seasonal Bucatini with spring onion and wildflowers was delicious! I also highly recommend the Burrata as a starter! Will return. :)

The Eggs Benedict was perfect. Excellent hollandaise and the eggs were perfectly cooked. They took the time to toast the muffin properly and their breakfast potatoes were lovely fingerling potatoes which were sauteed and well seasoned. Top notch!
