We made a last minute reservation as we were driving towards the city after a long day - first time here, and it exceeded our expectations! They sat us early, were super responsive throughout our meal, and most importantly the food was incredible. I wish we had remembered to take a photo. We got both specials, the deviled eggs and the steak moustard. Cooked perfectly. Ended with two cups of coffee. Perfect mix of a casual ambience with the taste fining dining. Felt like a good first or second (third…fourth….) :) date spot. Byob!

My partner and I did a double date here for dinner. First impressions is the restaurant is small, but very cute. The location is great - downtown Haddonfield. Small means very limited seating and the vibe is business casual with BYOB, but elegant dining experience you’d wanna take you’re time with. That being said - come with patience. When we sat, the server was very polite and opened our bottles and got ice. We took our time trying to limit what we are going to order - and failed. However, everything was exceptional. I’ve never had frog legs before and I’m not sure I can eat them anywhere else. Run here - don’t walk because you won’t want to miss this place.

These days any cook that can make a meatball considers themselves a chef. If you want to see a truly world class chef at work in an open kitchen, I encourage you to try The Little Hen. Nothing exceeeds like experience. (Chef Alan has many decades). He puts out phenomenal cuisine that is by far the best value in the area! Escargot, Sea Scallops, Duck, Veal Tenderloin and Butternut Squash Gratin all exceptional. The amazing Crepes Cake and Salted Caramel Creme Brulee are highly addictive. Impeccable professional service. A BYOB (that offers proper stemware). It's small with only several tables so make reservations ahead of time. Perfection on every level and a very memorable dining experience. It is the best kept culinary secret in South Jersey by far!

Perfect BYOB service was amazing. Food was outstanding, I had 6 o'clock reservations, which was the perfect time before the crowd, just an overall great place to sit, relax, and have a high-quality meal and not break the wallet. Highly recommend.

Had such a lovely experience here tonight! My family and I tried this place not knowing much of French cuisine. It was very delicious. The menu is small but it really has something for everyone. The frog legs were so good! The server was kind and attentive. I’m not that much of a dessert person but this crepe cake (sorry I don’t remember the actual name) was incredible!!

Had a terrific dinner, we ordered 8 dishes and each was phenomenal. Very thoughtful dishes with great flavor prepared masterfully.

Another little gem in the neighborhood. We had a unique devilled eggs topped with trout roe and mushroom toast for starters. Ordered another appetizer from the specials menu - with salmon and caviar. This one was really tasty. Coq au vin and skate wings for the main course. It was our first experience of having skate wings and it was awesome.

Very small restaurant, so make sure to make a reservation. All of the food was so delicious. The duck was very mild and not gamey at all. The skate was tender and crispy. I think the dishes are fairly priced for the portions you receive. Would definitely eat here again.

Got there at 8:15 with no reservation, they very happily seated me. Server was friendly and accommodating. The shrimp appetizer was beautifully prepared and the portion was beyond generous, I’ve had entrees that were smaller. The steak was perfectly grilled with a wonderful sauce. The description of the 20 layer crepe “cake” made me have to try it! All in all the meal was delightful. On the way home an odd thought popped into my head, that would make a wonderful “last meal”!

A great place for a date! Went for an anniversary dinner and was so pleasantly surprised with every dish. Simple but flavorful dishes. Honestly, loved everything about The Little Hen. Definitely go.

Wonderful French themed restaurant. My wife and I have been back twice in one week. Highly recommend the skate wing, duck, & cauliflower. Everything has been cooked to perfection. GREAT service as well. It's become our regular hangout.

I first went here with my fiancé on a date night. It was absolutely delicious! The restaurant is small but cozy and intimate. You definitely want to get a reservation just for peace of mind. Limited menu but it is always delicious and they do change the specials. I went for a second time with my friends for my birthday because we loved it so much. I will definitely be coming back again!

Everything they serve is delicious. Seriously - there's not one bad, nor even merely mediocre, item on the menu! Great people too. This place is one of my wife's and my favorite little spots.

A true gem of a restaurant! My husband and I always have the most phenomenal meal here. The restaurant is cozy, the food is out of this world (I dream about the mushroom toast and duck frite) and the service is 5 star. We always can’t wait till we come back!

Food: 5 stars, Service: 5 Stars, Ambiance: 2 Stars. Come here for the food. It’s amazing. Inside is sparse, nothing on the walls, bad ventilation and the most basic and simple tables. But the food is really really good! Price is right also.

What a charming little restaurant tucked away in the heart of Haddonfield. The menu is small, offering all the best and well known dishes that French cuisine has to offer. The cheese plate is a must, accompanied with their house made jam and Dijon mustard. The escargot was also a must. I ended up going with the raclette burger which was mouth watering delicious. If intimate dining areas do not turn you off, this place is a must. Will definitely be back!

Great night out in Haddonfield. Service was absolutely amazing and the space is small and well situated. Menu is small, but interesting with some seasonal offerings. I recommend giving it a try, I will be back for sure!

Best French food I've had in a very long time.
