Happy Hippo Toys

Awesome old school toy store that is packed with any toy you could possibly think of from floor to ceiling. They have some really unique options. Prices are high, but that’s to be expected in a mom and pop. We got our son a fun cow hopper. The gentlemen working and presumably the owners were really nice and personable.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I was greeted at the door with a smiling face by a guy that can juggle. Neat. I was looking for a simple toy snake that looked real. And i found one here. I needed it for an a prank scince tommorow is april fools day. I looked online and it would have to be shipped from a store so that wouldnt work. I got there 10 minutes before they closed. They let me take my time and look around. I found a cool kite with a dragon on it also. Scince im an adult that still likes to fly kites. It was perfect and wasnt like those cheap plastic ones they sell elsewhere. Cool stuff in there. Old stuff too. Neat stuffed animals all sort . Elephants snakes tigers if your looking for something out of the ordinary or popular i bet you can find it there. Cool barbie dolls. I loved the stuffed octopus and they even had courous george. All sorts of toys. Cute shop. Definitely will be back. I loved the fact they had exactly what i was looking for and for a friday night it wasnt really that busy or crowded. Thanks for giving us time to browse around your lovely store.

I was very happy to find a toy store, an actual brick and mortar building with fun stuff to peruse inside. They had a wonderful array of stuffed animals - my nephew is very discerning. If anything, they were happy I went about my business inspecting every different kind - no "just get on with it" vibe whatsoever. We admired how much attention to detail a stuffed squid had as I purchased it and several others.

They also helped me find a simple toy that "launches" planes with a rubber band - one of those inexpensive toys you find around the section with mustaches and chattering teeth. Somehow simple old fun beats out tablets and TV sometimes, too.

This store is such a treasure. Amazing selection of toys old and new. Found some of my favorite childhood toys and grabbed a few for my son. So great to have a place like this to go too. The gentleman that was there was very nice and offered his assistance.

This place is amazing! They have a lot of different toys that you can’t just find in Walmart nor Target! They also have a little overpriced items, but the still are out of stores/stock. The staff are very helpful, but a warning, If you have kids, DO NOT let them touch the toys unless your buying it or you already purchased it. The staff get kinda angry about it and might ask you to leave. They also stare at you in store and out like they are police. Over all, this is a great selection of toys and great store 👍🏼

Brought my nephew here to buy some Thomas & Friends. He really enjoyed it here. And I would rather shop locally(especially considering how scarce toy stores are now) then go to a big company like Amazon. Support your local business!

Awesome local shop with a mix of great toys, games, and books

Great store, already been back 3 times in less then a month. Great for small children, There are alot of toys in this small store, and the employee are friendly.

I'd give it 1 million stars if I could. The owner went out of his way to make sure my son was happy. We arrived just as the store closed, after driving 30 min to get there. The owner re-opened the store just so my son can come in and get the toy that he was waiting patiently for. He didn't have to do that but the owner re-opened the store and made sure we were very happy, satisfied customers. Thank you very much!!!

One of their 2 locations (Other Moorestown). Great selection of toys, from current to classic. The employees are helpful, happy, and very nice to the kids (Of all ages) that come into the shop.

Fun corner toy store that has a great selection. Kids get no experience out of big box stores or crapamazon, but this place is a highlight for the kids. Support local retail.

Great vintage toy store in Haddonfield

This was such a nice fun store. After the year we've had ,Happy Hippo made me a Happier person just for being there.
Honest to God , I walked in with no Holiday Spirit ,and I walked out humming "Joy To The World"

Love this store! They have all the classics and a lot of educational stuff too. They even have the candy I grew up. Just a cool place.

Fabulous little nook in the heart of Haddonfield. Friendly staff who know their stuff and an enormous collection of everything: books, board games, trinkets, plushes, practical jokes, novelties, dolls, and EVERYTHING. And not ridiculously overpriced either! Well worth the visit and your patronage.

The happy hippo is a step back in time. Old school toy store. While the prices aren't always competitive, the store is very community focused and is a landmark in downtown Haddonfield.
