I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say this is some of the best food in NWA. Wished I didn't have to go down the highway for it, and they are only open 2 days a week, but it is more than worth the trip.

Everything I have had so far has been really good and they are always helpful in making sure I don't order a side that doesn't make any sense with the other food I've ordered, though it's probably best to order ahead to avoid a long wait when ordering on the spot.

This is my favorite place to eat in Fayetteville. It’s hands down the best African food I’ve had in a long time. I go almost every weekend I can. My favorite dish is the Kitimoto, but it’s very hard to find a dish they serve that isn’t incredibly crafted and delicious. The portions are more than enough for one person and could easily feed two. My go to side is the plantains, but the okra and spinach, coconut beans, and fried rice all hit the spot every time. Their jollof rice is incredible as well. And the staff are the friendliest and nicest around. Everything is made with a quality and care that is rare for dining experiences these days.

Zanzibar Kitchen is so dang good!!! I love the vegan options and their samosas are out of this world. You genuinely cannot go wrong with whatever you order. Each and every menu item is made with love and so much skill. My mouth is watering as I write this review!

Update: Zanzibar remains one of the best restaurants in NWA. The maandazi is melt in your mouth delicious and I just tried the chai and it blew my mind.

The food was excellent and the service even better! We tried everything on the menu for Vegan Wednesday and it was awesome. The portions are generous and the flavors superb.

Incredible flavors, ever-changing menu, HUGE portions. I always add plantains and can usually make at least 2 meals out of each order. The chef and owner, Happiness, is incredibly talented and passionate about providing delicious food to our community. You can tell how much time and love goes into each dish. I honestly think it's underpriced for how well crafted the food is and how much you get with each order. Dishes can sell out, so order online or get there early if there's one you especially want to try! Photo is of Eggplants (Bilinganya Rosti) with plantains added. Some of my favorites are the Viazi Rojo with crepes, Coconut Beans, and the coconut tamarind salmon (Samaki wa Kupaka). I recommend following them on Instagram @zanzibar_kitchenar for reminders and to quickly see this week's menus (Wednesday is all vegan, Saturdays have both meat and vegan options).

The absolute best food truck! I love everything I’ve had but you have to try the red beans or coconut peas.

The food is absolutely amazing! I'm not vegan but I love the vegan dishes that they serve. My favorite dish is their coconut peas and their plantains. The staff is very friendly! You can place orders online or order at the food truck. They have seating outside of the truck next to their little garden. This is a wonderful place to eat and I highly recommend it!

Absolutely love Happiness' food. My favorite is the spicy kitimoto (roast pork) with collard greens, cardamom rice & coconut peas. The beef pilau is tasty and filling. And the hot chicken wings with plantains is another go to. Lots of vegan options available as well.

Absolutely phenomenal. My fiance and I have been dying to eat here for a while, and he surprised me last night by picking up dinner. Everything was *so* delicious, and it was also fully vegan. One of the best places in NWA for vegan food that is full of flavor. My favorite was the lentils, but everything we got was 10/10.

I visited for the first time today, for takeout. I was warmly greeted and the food I ordered was well packaged, and was still perfect when I got home. The taste and texture of everything was just incredible. The plantains are the best! Loved the lentils, and the spinach and okra. The entrees I ordered were a very reasonable $13 each, and the portions were more than enough.
Very much worth the trip - I look forward to my next visit.

We ordered several dishes for lunch and they were very flavorful with delicious spices! The customer service was top-notch! They also offer vegan options, which is needed in this area. So glad to have found this gem! Be back soon (pics next time).

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! I've only tried the Vegan Wednesday menu, but it is truly incredible. The service couldn't be any friendlier, nor the food any tastier! 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

For me, this is easily the best food in Fayetteville. It’s extremely refreshing to have a different cuisine and I am hooked! Very vegan friendly, which is lovely. The owner is wonderful and always greets you with a smile. Flavors like nothing else I’ve ever had, and the rotating menu always keeps me coming back for more.
